Came with my family for a birthday celebration and had a good meal. We started with some cocktails which were great and the lobster rolls that were seriously fantastic. I got the halibut which was good but not my favorite. The ribeye special was tasty and the miso cod was great! We sat outside which was lovely and our server was so kind, we loved chatting with her. I'd definitely try this place again!

Found this place on Yelp. Food was very good! Enjoyed their happy hour menu: hamachi shots, crab cakes and lamb chops! All super tasty The truffle fries we kept looking for the truffle taste but didn't find it prominently on the fries. They were more like well seasoned garlic fries. We ordered their 20oz charred rib eye with stacked potatoes and broccoli split three ways along with pork chops with mashed potatoes. Both dishes were delicious. We'd come again for sure! Nice middle point from SL Tahoe and Alameda The only disappointment was the service. Getting the food was great, taking plates away when finished didn't happen. For an upscale restaurant, leaving empty serving plates and dining dishes was poor. 3 out of 5. I won't leave photos of them here.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got a chance to the other day. It was a Monday and they had an all day happy hour menu. We like to sit at the bar, so we found a spot that was surrounded by dirty dishes and squeezed in. It was a few minutes before we were acknowledged, and eventually got our drinks. Checking out the happy hour menu, we decided to go with a few small plates. We tried the Mexican corn, sausage and flat bread, fried chicken with cornbread, and crispy nigiri bites. Everything was fine, but nothing was great. If we would have paid full price, it would have been deeply disappointing. At this point we were still surrounded on both sides by dirty dishes. The vibes at the bar were not fun. Cocktails were ok. I can't see myself going back here unfortunately.

Came once for dinner and the food was great. What was better was finding out about their Happy Hour. Service was prompt, food came out fast, drinks were delicious, and you can sit outside on our beautiful spring days. We had the crab cakes, truffle fries, oysters, and pappardelle. The cocktails were beautiful, food was great, and prices were even better. I'd highly recommend Happy Hour here. Great for a date night too, but deals are always a steal!

I was very fortunate to go to an event that was partially catered by ELDO, Hamachi Shooters have been on my mind ever since. Needless to say, I have been looking forward to dining at the restaurant. Pulled up on a weekday, service was pretty light but I still sat at the bar. Place is very nice, great ambiance, excellent place for a date night. I came specifically for the Hamachi Shooters and they were well seasoned and flavorful but lacked any textural contrast. Delicious but some type of wonton crisp or chip (or cone) would've definitely set it off. Still a banger but there's other things I'd try next time. Octopus was cooked perfectly (which is not easy, hats off to the chef) and had a great balance in flavors. This was an adventure in Potato Salad but I enjoyed it nonetheless. If you like octopus, I'd say def worth the order. All in all, great experience and will def pull up when in the area, 4/5.

My family and I dined in on a Monday night with reservations at 6:45pm. We were very excited to dine here since we were celebrating my dad's retirement as a family and I have read great reviews so far. We sat down and waited 10 minutes until we were greeted by our server. We had to ask one of the employees for waters and menus, menus were given but waters were not filled until we asked again. While we sat with this unwelcoming feeling, I noticed that tables around us were constantly getting checked on which was disappointing since we had to ask for the menus and waters. We finally were able to look at the menu and then placed an order. Our appetizers did come out quickly which was nice. We ordered the octopus and crab cake appetizer. Both items were tasty so no complaints for the food. After the appetizers they cleared the table, and then the main dishes started to come out. All dishes were presented nicely but they forgot to give us new utensils so the food was sitting at the table for a couple of minutes and we ended up having to ask for new utensils. But, they did forget one main dish which was delivered 15 minutes after everyone else and our server did not seem to care. Food - 3.5/5 stars Service - 1/5 stars Overall, the food was tasty but I do not recommend as you can find better restaurants with more friendly and welcoming service for the price. :(

Living in El Dorado Hills I was happy to hear about this new place that had opened up. Went out this New Year's Day and totally loved the ambience, the decor and everything. They are understaffed and this is the only reason I deducted a star. Despite being understaffed our server did her best to keep everyone attended. I am hoping this is a one off because we would definitely want to visit them again. Food was wonderfully cooked and all the dishes were delicious.

This was the worst restaurant management experience I've had not only in Eldorado Hills, but in totality. We arrived as a group of six with a 7:00 PM reservation for a birthday celebration and were not seated for over an hour because the table reserved for us was still occupied by a previous party who had been there nearly 3 hours, even after already finishing their meal. Despite repeatedly asking the hostess to check on the situation throughout the hour and manage the overstayed table, nothing was done. There is no area for waiting guests, so we had to stand next to other tables near the bar. We ultimately escalated directly to the owner and told him we were prepared to leave and dine elsewhere. The owner specifically told us he would "make it worth our while." Only after that conversation were we squeezed into a small 4-person table. While waiting to be served, we watched two other parties go through the exact same situation, both having to escalate to management just to be seated well past their reservation times. On top of the 6 person party that refused to leave after their meal was finished, there was a 20-30 person corporate party playing holiday games where throughout the night, the owner was drinking and socializing with this group, even sitting at their table, while multiple reserved parties stood waiting, frustrated. We spoke directly to another party who had a 7:30 PM reservation, and they shared how shocked they were by how we were treated. They weren't seated until around 9:00 PM, and only after complaining themselves. After about 1.5 hours, we were finally situated. As part of the owner's promise to "make it worth our while," we were brought complimentary rosé--which was bottom shelf, undrinkable, and largely left untouched. This was in no way appropriate or meaningful remediation. Food was mixed at best: - They were out of the truffle Parker house rolls, which was the item I was most looking forward to - Garlic shoestring fries were good, but no one cared for the Greek fries - Chicken cornbread was flavorful, but the chicken was dry - Burger and scallops was decent, but caesar salad was soggy and not great - Vodka chicken parm had far too little sauce - Wagyu filets were fine - For dessert, the birthday guest received a caramel popcorn sundae, which unfortunately had extremely stale popcorn--so stale it felt impossible to chew. It was left completely uneaten What makes this experience even more frustrating is that we personally witnessed other late-seated parties receive far better remediation: one party had their entire meal comped, while another received free appetizers in addition to the rosé. We definitely did not feel like our special night out was "made worth our while" after still paying a $500 bill. There is a deep issue of mismanagement here, made worse by clear favoritism. The owner was visibly cozying up to certain tables while completely neglecting others--specifically guests who had reservations and were waiting far past their scheduled times. This is not a one-off mistake; it reflects total mismanagement. Check my reviews- I've dined at a lot of establishments. The correct approach that is best practice in industry is: - Actively manage table turn times by clearing tables that have finished dining and have passed their reservation allotted time - If the restaurant is absolutely behind schedule, stop accepting new guests and suggest they come back another day - Treat all parties the same, not just the ones you choose to socialize with This restaurant's inability to manage reservations, hold overstaying tables accountable, and fairly remediate impacted guests--especially while the owner prioritized socializing with other parties--made this an experience we would not recommend.

When you walk in, there is a huge bar centered here. It is beautiful decoratively speaking. The staff were really nice and service was quick! The food was packed with flavor. Truffle frites were really delicious, crispy fries 9/10. Crab cakes: 9/10 sauce was delicious, portion was great and the crab was sweet and slaw was good. Lobster roll: 7/10. Your classic lobster roll. Brussel sprouts salad was good. 8/10. Day boat scallops: 9/10 everything was cooked well and delicious flavors. Bolognese papardelle 6/10, the noodles were harder than Al dente. Difficult to chew. Not enjoyable. Steak was cooked perfectly and had flavor to it. 8/10. Mexican shaved corn, a play on elote on a stick 7/10. Octopus 8/10. Cooked well. The presentation on dishes were good. All in all, I would return and recommend this place.

My husband and daughter (2 year old) came with a reservation at 6pm to enjoy a lovely dinner for my birthday. Parking was easy and the space has outdoor seating, too but it was a bit cold that day for that. We were able to get a high chair for my daughter and the service was attentive and accommodating. We asked for the cornbread from a dish only and they were able to accommodate just the bread -- and we loved it! So good! We had the following too: - Mexicano shaved corn: so flavorful and limey - loved it! - crab cakes: great but least memorable of all dishes - brioche parker house rolls: love my bread and especially when warm. The truffle butter was also delicious with it but the bread can totally be amazing on its own already - yiayia's green garden salad: love the pine nuts and citrusy taste - grilled octopus: my daughters favorite and we enjoyed it too - braveheart fillet: decent but not as memorable as I'd hope - bolognese pasta: too salty and the noodles were too hard - least favorite dish. - two tickets to paradise mocktail: delicious drink with and without alcohol (husband had the alcohol) Overall, really enjoyed the experience and space. Seating is a bit close to other tables as it was hard to slip in and out of our chairs when the chairs behind us both sides were already at its max spacing too. Also wished they had dishware and utensils that were safer for little ones - I was worried my daughter would mess up their ceramic plates. Food was good but some improvements could be made.

This is the spot in EDH, aka El Dorado Hills. The ambience was suited for a causal and semi causal wear. The interior design and decoration was appealing to the eye, very elegant and fancy if you're looking to dress up for the evening. Once seated, the service was amazing. Our server was very attentive and on point, whether it was topping our drinks and kept a manageable eye on our table. The cocktails were delicious with a touch of greatness . The old fashion was to die for, mixed adequately to perfection. The espresso martini to die for, the amount of liquor was perfect. I love this drink. The food, the lobster rolls were delicious, cooked perfectly with the amount of butter. Just delicious. The chicken parmagiano was huge in serving, topped with pasta, very tasty. My sugestion, share this meal. The food was amazing. Overall, This restaurant gets a 5/5 , just amazing. I will be back for sure!

Door couldn't open so we couldn't hear the live music because it was so loud inside it was blocking the music

Came for the patio live music made a reservation for the patio and was put on the other blazing hot patio when I specifically asked for the patio with the live music. The other one was silent and boring totally killed the vibe. Then we decided to move to the bar for an after dinner drink to hear the live music it was a nice night and they had the doors shut so still couldn't hear the music like come on don't advertise live music if it's not accessible. The food is excellent though.

I came here for a work related dinner and can't wait to bring my husband back for a date night. Upon entering we were greeted by the owner Angelo who was very hospitable. Adam was our server and was a rockstar. The service was great and not once did we have to look for him for anything. He was always in the shadows somehow but right there when you needed anything without even having to ask. We sampled a few appetizers but the chicken and corn bread as well as the truffle fries were my favorite. I then had the miso cod. NGL I could literally eat the rice cake that it came with just by itself every day. It was crunchy on the outside, chewy and moist on the inside with lots of flavor. And if you have room for dessert...two words. BUTTER CAKE so good and the ice cream was Love the ambiance. The seating is also velvet and makes for the background to some super cute photos. 10/10 experience. Will def be back again.

We came by for a family lunch today right at opening after youngest promotion day. I'm sure it was strategically planned as he wanted to hit up Barnes and Nobles after for some books ;) I got myself a smart book worm kid I tell yah...must be my side of the family hahaha. Anyways, back to the review...we were the first diners to arrive. My oldest son is always down for Poke! Nolan ordered a large and it was 5 scoops of protein for $25.95 (fairly small scoops imo), with a base of his choice and he chose mix rice and mixed greens. I asked him what his thoughts were and he said it was nothing special and that it was kinda pricey for what he got. He also said he was confused when he was trying to pick the fish from the buffet space as it didn't match the signs in front of them so he had to order from the menu and watch the guys put it in his bowl. Not sure if they just weren't ready for us as we were the first diners of the day. My youngest ordered the Taco trio which consists of 1 Ahi Poke Taco, 1 Salmon Poke Taco and 1 Cooked Salmon Taco for $19.99. The entree came out looking pretty appetizing but we were disappointed that the taco shells were all stale. Not crunchy in anyway. My son ate most of the filling and left the shells. We ordered the SALMON CARPACCIO which was described as 7 pieces thinly sliced fresh salmon, microgreens, sesame seeds, japanese seven spice, yuzu ponzu for 18.50 to share. When this came out, my son was so surprised that it was so tiny as it was not enough to share so my little man had it all to himself. I couldn't decide what to order. I debated on the fish and chips but was told they didn't have batter so it was a no go special today. The said the poke nacho's was popular but I wasn't craving poke personally. So my partner and I ended up ordering (2) servings of Garlic Shrimp. When I asked how many shrimps came with the servings, the guy behind the counter didn't know. It came out with 7 shrimps and a tiny bit of garlic over a ton of rice. Flavor was good, I wanted more sauce and garlic to go with the rice we were given. This place doesn't skimp on rice in their bowls. All in all, portions to prices were a bit off for us. The guys behind the counters were nice. Place was clean.

But how could I know that experience (and the service!! OMG the service!!!) was going to be so outstanding, that I would come back again the next evening to eat again?? The first night it was happy hour, with a spicy jalapeño mule, buffalo cauliflower, smoked Brussel sprouts, and a couple of beers. But the service was so attentive (almost too attentive) that we felt like we had to watch for gaps so we could take a bite or a sip in between folks checking in to see if we needed more food, more refills, or just a friendly hello! The next night was burgers, and brews, and bloody Marys - and again, the most amazing thoughtful, interactive and attentive service I have ever seen! And being a business owner, I can tell you that it's not enough to have a beautiful setting on the river with great views and a decent menu. Having servers, managers, bartenders (hell even the bussers had smiles and were polite and friendly) absolutely seals the deal. I really have no reason to go back to to El Dorado Hills in the near future other than work, but because of this single restaurant experience, I can tell you I am trying to find more reasons to return!

The "nachos" were like a fried wonton. And just all around, the entire dish was delicious! Spicy jalapeños, quality tuna. Go to this place, even JUST for these nachos. The spicy crab (or lobster, I can't remember) bisque, was also really good. I'd recommend it. Mildly spicy, not crazy. My coworker got the caesar salad, and was very underwhelmed with it. According to Yelp ratings' definitions, that's "Ok". That to me is an acceptable rating of something that does day in and day out what it is there to do. It's NOT a negative review because doing day in and day out what it is there to do is NOT an easy thing to accomplish. That earned 'em another review star for going beyond what they're in business to do. P.S. Shoutout to Folsom, CA. Kabayan!…read more This is a super worthy shout out. Kabayan is Filipino casual counter service eatery serving up some darn tasty food. I'm not well versed in Filipino cuisine, but I got working tastebuds and I like what I like. I meandered into the eatery on a recent weekend mid-afternoon. The tables were filled with happy folks enjoying their meals with a line of folks waiting for an open table; that's always a good indicator. I decided to order to go. The owner was cashiering. She was super helpful and engaging. Big smile. I ordered the two item combo $13.99 that comes with rice and pancit. The pancit was classic with all the familiar flavors. Ginisang Pusit. Squid. Soooo good! I never had this dish before. The squid was super tender, not mushy nor rubbery. Perfect tenderness... how did they do that?!? It had a sweetness and slight spiciness. Spiciness without the heat, but packing a bunch of flavor. I'm still thinking about that dish. Pork Kare Kare. It was served with a side of fermented shrimp paste. Not a lot of restaurants provide that shrimp paste, so I was stoked even if it was a smallish portion. The paste was a perfect compliment of saltiness to the creamy peanut butter sauce. Yup, PB gravy sauce. They also sell imported Filipino packaged snacks and pantry items. Plus they sell halo halo. I saw folks with gorgeously delicious looking halo halo. Colorful layers of shaved ice, ice cream, and toppings. The eatery is not particular large, so when it's a full house, it gets crowded cozy.

There's plenty of parking spots as it's in the same plaza as Raleys. It's a smaller shop that poses as a restaurant on one side and a small market filled with Filipino snacks on the other. There's not much for ambience, but it's clean and cozy. The owner served me, and she was super warm and friendly and very welcoming. I had questions about the food and their menu and she was very patient going through all of them. She introduced me to pitchi pitchi which is a sweet and salty cassava dessert that reminds me of mochi. The cheese threw me off a little, but I read that sometimes it's served with coconut flakes. I ordered two halo halo desserts, two combos, the cassava dessert, upgraded the rice to garlic rice, two orders of lumpia, and picked up a couple of calamansi drinks and garlic peanuts as a snick snack. Total bill plus tip was over $100. The menu changes every day, which I think is interesting. And every Sunday they serve lechon for $18 a pound. Check out their Facebook page for updates in case I got this information wrong. For the food, I had half pancit and half rice. I had adobo chicken, butter chicken, and two pork dishes that I don't remember the name. I like that the pork had a good combo of fat and lean meats. I wish I could've eaten it there but we had lunch and then decided to stop here. I felt like the food being warmed up after sitting in the fridge for a bit, It kind of made all of the entrées taste similar to each other. Next time I will vary my order, like I'll get a saucey dish, a sour soup, and a bbq skewer. All in all the food tasted very homey and delicious. It's heavily seasoned. I can see myself ordering lumpia and pancit to a party. Can't wait to go back and try their lechon and pork belly.

This is the review I'm leaving for sienna…read more Unfortunately, our experience at Sienna in El Dorado Hills was very disappointing. We had a reservation for 14 guests, so the restaurant should have been prepared for our group. We were told they didn't have enough employees working, but that shouldn't have come as a surprise with a reservation in place. We were celebrating two milestones, but unfortunately, the restaurant made sure we regretted going there to celebrate our events. The service was honestly horrible from start to finish. Our waiter barely checked on us, never smiled, and seemed like he didn't want to interact with or serve our table. When he did come by, he would quickly drop things off on the table and walk away, leaving us waiting and having to constantly look for assistance. We spoke with the manager hoping things would improve, but he didn't seem concerned at all. Overall, our group left feeling ignored, unwelcome and more like an inconvenience to the restaurant. All four of us will make sure to spread the word that this restaurant does not welcome large parties or anybody for that matter.

I'd been wanting to try this place since hearing about it from 1 of my friends and it was fire…read more My friend and I went and enjoyed our custom cocktails created by the female bartender on staff last night; mine had strawberry, bergamot, gin and I think sparkling wine and the flavors worked well together. My friend had a tequila drink and she liked hers as well. The decor is aesthetically pleasing- it's like being in a cabin and I like the back lighting as well, everything comes together to make for a cozy setting. They offer food too so I'd like to return to try out some apps in addition to some signature drinks next time. The other bartender who served us was great as well; congrats to him for being recently promoted to bartender! I'm looking forward to taking more friends here and exploring more drinks. Thanks!

It all comes in fizzio/coupe glasses on a tower. I also ordered an extra drink (Pink Cloud) and dessert (Lemon Crumb Cake). Everything was so good! The presentation was beautiful. The cake was moist and flavorful. The drinks weren't too strong. The service was a little slow, but the staff were friendly and attentive. Whoever designed this restaurant did a wonderful job. It's very unique and makes me feel like I'm in a cabin. The lighting is dim and sets the mood for a romantic date. There are a few areas to lounge and a spot to take pictures. They have seating available inside and outside. Bathrooms are stocked and clean. The antler chandeliers are gorgeous. But the real star of the show? The bar. The blue and neon lighting, the wood and rock beans, and the huge elk mounted in the center... So awesome! I'm definitely coming back to try other things on their main menu. They have a nice drink selection. It's very easy to spend a good $60+ here.
