Such a beautiful RV Park; love the lay out that is different than the multiple rows in other parks. There are so many trees, making it serene and quiet even on the busy weekend. We didn't get a chance to use any of the amenities due to the season and the event we were in town for but noticed a lot for kids. Appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. Back again! Same great service by email with questions and booking as well as arrival. We paid for a late check out arriving late and didn't need to be to Omaha until afternoon. Well worth it! It was going to be a little steep to pay for the wristbands for the water slide only, but you also get extra punches on the wrist band for more balloons for the water fight set up, or an iceey drink, and maybe something else... They take you to your site and always make sure you have what you need. Will stay here every time we travel through and look forward to it! read more

I just got home from a month long stay here at Camp-a-way. It was planned for 2 weeks but due to the Transmission going out on my truck I had to extend. I'll start with the park, it is beautiful and very friendly. Every night the kids get the chance to go on a ride around the park in a roller coaster like trailer. The park is very well maintained and cared for. The staff, they are super friendly people, caring and well trained. There is some freeway noise, but from my spot C5, it was very tolerable. When walking through the park, it never bothered us. The Dog park is epic!! My spot is so level that I didn't even have to do anything to level my RV from side to side. The power and water was more than enough to keep my equipment in top shape. The Wi-Fi is by far the best I've ever had in an RV park. When I found out my transmission was bad, I contacted the office and they worked with me to be able to stay in my spot until my truck was ready. They were prepared to help me stay through the 4th of July weekend that was sold out. I can not say enough good about the staff and the owners of this place. When staying in Lincoln Nebraska this place should be your first choice!! read more

Stayed here for two nights and was super pleased...Staff was very friendly and accommodating...my sister and I enjoyed the hot tub and then the very clean pool as it was 103' the two days we were there... This park has something for everyone,store was stock well and soft serve ice cream was a real treat!!! read more

Camp Away has something for everyone. The park is very well maintained and quiet. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. Jennifer went far and above to help with changes to our dates multiple times when our RV broke down, and we were stranded at a repair facility. We will DEFINITELY return. read more

We were camping in Camp A Way for about a month. We had moved to Lincoln, Nebraska and since were camper, decided to stay there while we looked for an purchased a home. The camp ground was just great. Sites are very well spaced, very clean, and naturally very pretty. It was easy to get in to and out of, with so many of the sites being pull throughs. All of the facilities, the restrooms, kid areas and laundry room were always clean and nothing ever felt crowded. The activities they have for the kids were fantastic! A water slide, the train, the jumping pad, pool and more, were all a ton of fun! Our Grand kids visited and they enjoyed it a lot. EVERYONE we met and came in to contact with as far as the staff, we're super kind! We appreciated everything about the campground and staff and thank you for making our visit so nice! We loved this campground. Easy access from the Interstate and it is beautiful. It has a great dog run with two separate runs one for bigger fogs and one for little dogs. I hate to give a bad review but I really need to be honest. When I called I thought they were very nice. But it almost seemed forced. When I got here I realized their charm is fake and forced. ...Sigh I really wanted to love this place. But good grief. It's all about making money and not much more. Everywhere you turn something cost more money. At the prices they charge you would think more things would be included. And to only have a pool open till 9 o'clock at night is ridiculous. And not open the hot tub till 9 o'clock the next morning... That's ridiculous. Older people like to relax at six or even seven in the morning. Especially in the hot tub. And those of us who have to leave early would like to go in the pool before they go. They have tons of activities for the kids... If you want to pay!! I already paid a lot. I really don't want to have to pay extra. I will not be returning to this place. It's a rip off. And I don't like fake people. They were VERY fake!! Yes... I could hear you murmuring. As for the park it appears to be taken care of. Lots of room as far as I'm concerned for an RV. That's a plus. They said laundry is open the whole time I have not checked that yet. Not much space at lots to hang out, however. I only gave it a 2 to be nice. I just really not happy!!i Oh and why have a Gaga ball pit if your going to take the balls early. read more

I booked the cabin about 2wks ago. Yesterday we found out our son has Covid, so I called to cancel. It's 2 days before our trip, so thought I'd maybe have a small fee. They kept the entire amount! We are living in a horrible pandemic, and this heartless business can't be flexible? They did not care - at all. I will never stay here... Ever! Loved this little RV camp. It has plenty of things for the kiddos to do. The lots are spacious. And WiFi reaches your camper. A lot of places advertise WiFi but have very poor to no signal. This place has WiFi! It also has a nice dog park and large water slide for the kiddos. read more

I drove there last week to look around. I found two "Ultra" sites (of 4) (D7 and D8) and asked about them at the office. I went to the office and asked about them for three nights, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week. I was told those two were reserved. I asked about the third (C16) and was told it was available. I prepaid over $150 and was given a map with the site circled and the restroom code written in. I arrived Tuesday in the rain, so I drove to the site and got hooked up, disconnected from my truck and settled in. I would go to the office later, as I had prepaid. Before long, there was a knock on the door. It was an older man who had been escorting a Colorado motor home. He asked if I was in the right site. I showed him the map with C16 circled. He left and came back, saying I had to move. I said it took me an hour in the rain to settle in, I was next to the dog run (for my service dog) and I didn't want to move. He said no sites are reserved, only types (Standard, Premium, Deluxe & Ultra). I asked, if none could be reserved, how could D7 & 8 be? How could the Colorado motorhome he was escorting be reserved? Have them go to B11 (which is near the Expressway, small, and next to the County heavy equipment yard, which is noisy. He said they had friends camping nearby. I wasn't moved by this thin argument and went to the office. (It should be noted that I am a Disabled American Veteran, in my 70's, with handicapped plates on my truck.) The office said I should have checked in. Why? Where does it say that? She let me stay, but she was perfectly willing to have me hook back up, move, and unhook. As it turns out, they wanted to move a 3-day prepaid for a 2-day roll-in. I will never stay there again. I'd park at Wal-Mart instead. read more

Very pleased with our stay! Beautiful grounds, super polite staff, spacious sites, free wifi and fun things for kids. Great convenient location if heading through the Lincoln area. The pool was great and clean, same with camp store. The only negatives would be the highway noise and we were worried about a couple limbs on a tree that were partially broken and overhung our site. Many sites were conveniently pull-through. We would absolutely stay there again and have already recommended it to our road-tripping family. read more

This RV park is wonderful! I travel the country for work and have stayed in park at every location, this park is in my top 3!!! It's so clean, beautiful setting, the site are full serve, many amenities, the staff (all) of them are friendly, helpful and downright great. I love this place and highly recommend it. If you have children you definitely can't go wrong, pets too! Water games, pool, jacuzzi, bike rentals, arcade, pet run, clean, safe, even soft serve ice cream, slushes, etc. like I said excellent!!! Great campground for kids. Huge bounce house set up, pool clean and maintained. Nice play area with swings, seesaw, etc. Staff pulled little kids around the grounds in a small train. Huge fenced dog play area. Staff was friendly, let us check in early and out late with no extra charge. Close to downtown Lincoln for activities. Some traffic noise as you are sitting between 2 major highways, but the pros of this place far outweigh the cons. Will stay again. read more

Here in cold weather for a long term stay due to a family illness. The staff have gone out of their way to support us. Having trouble with the camper and the owners have come to our rescue every time to help fix things. The facility is well managed and clean. Camp sites are nicely spaced - not like some commercial campgrounds where you are on top of each other. I can't give a higher recommendation for a campground and the staff. We stayed there in June for a week . I always thought of campaway as a five star campground however on this trip I requested a certain site was told they would do their best. Upon arrival I was given a different site while the site I requested Sat empty for 3 days while I was there, site was empty when I arrived. I will not waste money on the ultra patio sites anymore I'll just book a regular site and hopefully can get back to 5 star rating again. read more

This is a very nice campground. We were traveling West from Indiana to Colorado and this was our halfway point and we needed a place to stay for one night. I called while we were on the road to reserve a spot and the young lady who took the call was very friendly. Once we arrived the park looked clean and well kept. My husband went into the office to get our information and said the staff was very friendly and very professional. We were not inconvenienced by any traffic noise. We had a nice spot and even though our time was short, we were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend this park. We traveled in a 42' fifth wheel. read more

Nice place with great amenities. However, if staying long term BEWARE. Those 10% discounts from AAA/Good Sam they will find a way to stop applying them and reserve the right to do so. During colder weather they will shut off the water supply even if you've set up at a weatherized location. They frequently tape event notices to your door (personal rant here but I have a new trailer, the tape is not easily removed). Many trees in the park that need to be trimmed; owner does not stay on top of it. High winds bring large branches down on a frequent basis. Owners also have personal friends stay at the park frequently who do not always abide by the rules. Made a complaint once about a grill being set up next to my propane tanks and nothing was done. Had to physically relocate the grill myself to make my point known. When you pull out, make sure it's by 11am, at 11:01am you are charged for another day regardless of whether you're hooked up or not. Personally, I would never stay here again based upon the service I received. I'd be happier in a grass lot with just a full hookup and no amenities to only have to deal with an honest, sincere person who's main goal in life isn't just to make a buck. read more
