    This is my dogs tail.

Well... I started this thing with high hopes after I took my dog in for a day of camping! He was treated well. And the staff is very friendly. When I took him in for a four night stay, I had the same staff and they were just as friendly. There are no issues there. When I came to pick him up however, they told me they had washed him because he was covered in blood. He likes to chase his tail you see, and he sometimes catches it. But apparently he chewed the end of his tail off... at what point do you pay enough attention to notice, and stop the action? Apparently not soon enough. To top things off when o got him home, he barked for me to let him out, if you can call it that. He is so hoarse that he can't even whine properly. I'm sorry, but this is not conducive to their motto of "happy healthy pets" it more like "tired and sore pets" I'm not saying don't go there, I'm not saying the idea isn't great, but there's quite a bit of tweaking left in the machine.

Thanks to Amanda S's recommendation of Camp Bow Wow, Olof has a new place to rest his sweet head when Colin and I are out of town! When we inquired about Olof staying for an overnight someone quickly e-mailed us. They asked for Olof's shot records to ensure he had the appropriate vaccinations and requested we come in for an interview. ... I don't have kids yet who might have to go through kindergarten interviews, etc., but I felt like I was somewhat trained for it by this! Olof got a last minute bath the night before and we went on a long walk. Of course, Olof nailed the 'interview' with shaking hands and raising his signature eyebrows. Even though it was mentioned he's totally good to go, I had to leave him there for at least three hours that afternoon to hangout with the other dogs. The following morning we dropped him off at 9AM for an overnight. For $32 dollars he was given time to play with other dogs (dog park style,) food, and a large cage with a bed for him. We didn't have to bring anything but our sweet boy. The only thing that was a bit stressful was that we absolutely had to be there at 6PM the following day to pick him up or he'd have to stay another night. I sacrificed a bathroom break on our road trip back to make it by 5:58PM. Best part? There is a live feed of cameras so you can see your dog on your phone or computer whenever you want!

Her food went to another dogs kennel.

I've been taking my dog to Camp Bow Wow for quite some time and never had an issue until recently. I dropped my dog off Thursday evening and had her in the luxury suite. I received a call Friday afternoon letting me know that she had been nipped by another dog that was overly aggressive during play. I asked if she was hurt, bleeding, etc. The employee on the phone couldn't give me any good information so I said I would come up there to assess her. I get there and look her over, she was fine, however her chest and belly was broke out in hives. I tried to get her to go back into the suite (which had piles of dog hair on the floor as if they don't sweep or clean between occupants) and noticed the dog food she was eating was not hers. I asked where her dog food was and the employee was immediately panicked. I explained that she has food allergies and is on prescription dog food. Needless to say, the manager was not there and the employee found that my dog food was given to another dog. She said the manager would call me which I knew wouldn't happen and still hasn't, hence this review. I'm just thankful that I got there and realized that things were not going well. I was set to leave the next day for vacation. No telling what might had happened if she continued to eat the other dog food. I also left 2 toys for her and they couldn't find those either. Not sure what's going on there, but that was extremely disappointing. I will not be going back.

Ms Lucy the crazy Labrador has barely moved from this position since arriving home from 3 1/2 days at camp. Just as I intended.

The…read morekids working at PetSmart are nice and respectful, but our unexpected grooming experience at Aurora Kennels/Grooming facility has made us immediate transfer customers. We have a beautiful black Cairn terrier named Milo. He is a handsome, energetic, bundle of curiosity and life. We took a vacation recently and needed to board him. Aurora's policy is to have all dogs bathed on check-in and they must have current vet records showing up to date immunizations. They offer a bath and grooming package for dogs boarding. We took it and wow. For the first time ever we've had people stop and ask what breed of dog Milo is and how cute he was. Everybody in my family on the day of pick up commented about how fantastic he looked and was acting. He strutted around the house and yard like he was a prime stud dog. Tail straight up and head high, as if he knew how he looked. We laughed out loud. The difference? For the first time ever our Cairn was cut perfectly to the AKC Cairn standard. Not like a short haired rat that was being used as a grooming dummy to train novice grooming students. The facility and kennels were very clean. The workers very professional and informative. Great listeners. One employee, Julie, in conjunction with her AKC judge husband, own the number one ranked champion Saluki in the nation. Their dog won Westminister last year I believe. They understand dogs and have worked with them all her life. For compassionate care, communication, cleanliness, thoroughness, and such a pleasant disposition that only Chick-fil-a employees seem to exude in today's service sector, I give Aurora Kennels/Grooming 5 stars without reservation.

First, the positive. The staff at TDR are extremely nice and really seem to truly love animal. So…read morethere's that. Now, the negative. Their prices are incredibly overpriced. Our boarding facility in California: 1. Charges $30 less per day. This is Oklahoma, not California. The prices should be priced accordingly. 2. Has a dedicated play area for each kennel which is considered an indoor/outdoor run. This is open 24/7. 3. The kennel's owner or staff are on the property 24/7. Our issues with TDR is if they really cared about their tenants, they would have staff on duty 24/7 for emergencies. If something happens after 6pm, your pet is screwed. They won't be checked on until 6 the next morning. That is not acceptable in our book. Another issue is our dogs can't hold their urine for 12+ hours and they urinated on their beds. That NEVER happened at our kennel in California. Now, we have to replace 2 expensive dog beds and to top it off, a dog chewed off the corner of their feed container. Our dogs are trained and wouldn't do that. Needless to say, TDR is off of our preferred list of boarding facilities. A sad lesson learned on our part.

I was a longtime customer of this facility, but since the recent change in management (Since…read moreFebruary 2026), I've noticed a significant decline in both care and professionalism. It used to feel welcoming and personal--staff knew our dogs by name and created a sense of trust. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. There has been a high amount of staff turnover in a short time, and employees often seem unfamiliar with the dogs in their care. This lack of consistency raises concerns about training and experience. I'm have concerns about: * Unclear amounts of outdoor playtime versus time spent in kennels. On multiple occasions, I've driven by in the middle of a beautiful day and no dogs were outside playing. * Potential safety issues due to limited and inexperienced staffing. How can you take out multiple groups of dogs to play without adequate supervision? Clients aren't paying for dogs to be shut up in a kennel. We're paying for dogs to play and socialize with adequate supervision As stated in the website. * Late openings due to staff not having access or keys. The facility opens at 7:30 am. Since new management took over, employees have been reporting at 7:30. Sometimes later. Some employees arrive on time, but can't get in because the one with the key isn't there. Any business that OPENS their doors at 7:30 am should expect employees or manager to arrive at 7:00 am or earlier to allow for computers to be turned on for check in, check to see who is coming in for the day, lights on, and most importantly check on dogs that are being boarded Since they've been kenneled all night. Overall, these changes have made it difficult to feel confident in the level of care and safety being provided. With the previous staff, level of care, and customer service I would have given them five stars. Now, it's just not the same. I don't recommend. I'm taking my pup elsewhere.
