I don't know if they're trying to use thirty wall scent plugins to cover the urine smell, but it's bad.

The dogs just get treated like they're at their house in their home and she was very happy and this is the first time she's ever been able to be kept with other small dogs. She was the biggest she's ever been and her poop was normal. When I picked her up, she had lost a pound, was very weak, stumbling and covered in poop. She had poop all over her feet, legs, neck and face. She had severe diarrhea and very lethargic. Her nails were not trimmed and there was a hole in her bag of fluids. They lost her blanket and when I asked for the wet food that I had left with her, they said she didn't have any. She now has no appetite and is having to be force fed. Not only that, but they let me take her like that. In those conditions, no attempt to clean her, no vet to explain why she looks and acts this way after their care, nothing. I left my baby in their care, and she came out in the worst condition she's ever been in. Update: She passed away August 26th.

She listened to our concerns and even watched a small video we took of our dog. She was concerned and recommended we get an X-ray if we wanted. She was not pushy. She just said we need peace of mind that it's not something else. She was right. Our little guy had bladder stones and one stuck in his urethrae. She called in the surgeon, Dr. Don Schmidt. He rearranged his schedule and got our boy straight in for surgery. We didn't have to take him someplace else or wait another day. That was so nice. He had his appointment at 2pm then surgery shortly afterwards and we had him in our arms by 6:30. I'm so impressed with them. Also, we asked for a refill from a previous vet on some anxiety medicine for him. Dr. Baker was like, no problem. She told us to order it through Chewy since they didn't have it in stock and we needed it quickly for the fireworks coming in a few days. She said she would take care of it on her end and give authorization to Chewy when they called. The only thing I was kind of disappointed about was the tension at the front desk when we checked out. There could have been better customer service there. But overall we were happy with the service and the amount of care from the vets. Update: When we got home a few hours later, our dog was wincing in pain. We gave him some of the meds the doctor gave us but he still winced terribly. We had to take him to the ER and leave him overnight to get a slow drip of pain meds. Update -2 weeks later- Midnight is doing so well. He seems like he has gotten two years knocked off his age. He's getting around like a spring chicken. We went back to get stitches out and the staff was excellent. The front desk staff took time to talk to me about my dogs, and Dr. Baker met with me and discussed what we need to do for Midnight going forward. She wrote it all down for me so I could look over my options. I am very pleased and will return.

My accusations have been substantiated personally. Firstly, she will up charge, for example, her clinic suggested I go with the more expensive allergy medication on a monthly basis, when in fact there was a less expensive option approximately $100 less. Furthermore, I was able to verify that it was not necessarily needed monthly depending on the severity of my pets allergies. In other words, if my pets allergies did not return, there was no need to continue getting monthly treatments, although, I would receive monthly notifications that my pet needed more shots. In addition, Dr. Pfeiffer was verbally deceitful directly in conversation with me personally, in which her claims were proven to be untrue and in which she knew firsthand. In fact, the outright deception was of her making. Dr. Pfeiffer brings shame to this medical field. Although I cannot prove it, I would imagine the majority of veterinarians do not operate their business at such low standards. I will NEVER darken DR. Pfeiffer's doorway EVER AGAIN and in fact, I would not suggest Dr. Pfeiffer to my WORST enemy. In closing, the primary purpose of this review is to encourage others to ensure the veterinarians treating their pets are indeed ethical, and have your pets best interest at heart. I'm sure those reading this can agree when I say my pets are my children and their medical care is of the utmost importance to me.
