First time here and it was a blast! We were told ahead of time that the kids would be messy so we…read morewere ready and willing. There is a front room with tables and chairs and then the back room for the painting. The area is taped off and the kids just start doing their best Jackson Pollock impersonations. The teachers keep the fun going by constantly squirting more paint on the walls, floor and tables. Once the kids felt comfortable, the teachers squirted the kids arms and the kids get really messy. They also have groovy music playing and the lights go out and the neon glow appears. The teachers were very friendly and accommodating. When they are finished the kids get hosed off in a tub and wiped down. A change of clothes highly recommended. We will have to come back for some classes to see what else they have to offer.

She is always quick to answer you by phone or email and you never have to pray that she gets back to you. We enrolled our baby when she was barely 13 months old and this was her very first preschool ever, she was not walking yet. In just 5 short months with this school, she has learned to walk, sit and stay seated, do baby signs, say thank you and please, and, most importantly, go from very scared, sad and shy to a completely confident, happy, excited toddler and a social butterfly! The teachers are amazing and truly love what they do. They made her feel loved and safe and gave her room to fully blossom from day 1. We felt fully comfortable knowing our little girl was in good care. After a short transition, our girl looked forward to being in her favorite teacher's arms each morning and play with her new friends. From day one, everyone will know your baby's name, there is an efficient check-in system at the door that only authorized providers have the code for to pickup or drop off your child. You will get photo updates every day, and a daily report that tells you about their day, what they did, what they developed and eating. They also do monthly activities to foster a sense of community with the parents and children like hat parade, making, bird houses etc. They provide healthy, made fresh meals every day (for a fee) and you get to see the menu and know exactly what is served each day. There are 5 teachers in the toddler room and the teachers here have a very low turnover rate so you and your child will get to know them well. We drove 3 hours each day to go to this facility and will do it again in a heartbeat if the closer school to us is not a good fit. Thank you so much to Kathy, Daliza, Alexis, Estephania, Tamiesha, Janna, Christine, Tanesha and Kim for everything that they do and have done for us. The Boca Raton Children's Museum is located in one of the oldest homes in Boca Raton, (1913)…read moreSinging Pines. The home was originally owned by Boca Raton pioneers Mamie Myrick and her daughter, Aldah Myrick who had one of the first automobiles in Boca Raton. In 1917 the house was sold to its next owners Nellie and George Race. Their daughter Race Williams named the house Singing Pines because of the sound the wind made when going through the pine trees on the property. Race entered a nursing home and passed away in 1979. The house was moved to Memorial Park in 1976 and the name Singing Pines was changed to Children's Museum when it opened with it's first exhibit Pioneer Kitchen. The museum is very small but wonderful for toddlers and the preschool set. Admission is $5. The different play stations are Ricketts Corner Store which gives children the opportunity to play store in a recreation of Boca Raton's first grocery. KidsCents Bank Sponsored by First Southern Bank has bank teller windows and a vault so kids can practice their money skills. Oscar's Post Office gives children the opportunity to make postcards for a friend. Dr. Dig's Back-Porch has fossils and a puzzle. The Children of the Wilderness demonstrates the pioneer history of Singing Pines.There is also a pirate ship and fort outdoor exhibit and water tables for water play which are sponsored by FPL. This little museum is filled with old fashioned charm. What a wonderful place to get kids to put down the tablets and just play and interact. I love how this historic home has been transformed into a place of play and learning for children. I think that the civic leaders and pioneer women who occupied the home would be happy that it is continuing in this way. I had a lot of great times in this museum with my daughter who is grown now. I especially loved coming for the Halloween party. I was glad to see that they are not only going strong but expanding and increasing their programs for the public.
