There are several buildings but the one in the photo is the museum entrance.

The parking lot is on the backside of where the entrance is and there are not a lot of signs on where the main entrance is. There are some nice activities outside surrounding the museum like a bubble play sink, pirate ship and water table. The interior has about six rooms to explore but honestly it feels like a glorified daycare center than any sort of museum educational learning place. The staff could provide more information and a complete wipe-down of disinfectant would be a great start.

As the parents of 2 children ages 2.5 and 4.5, my husband and I found this wonderful place to take our girls. The Boca Children's Museum is perfect for little explorers and their siblings/friends. The staff are 100%always courteous, caring, and truly invested in the nurturing of young minds and bodies. My husband and I can both attest to this as educators within Palm Beach and Broward County. Miss Nancy recently helped our family celebrate my nephew's 2nd birthday, and it went off without a hitch and was beautifully put together in their events room on site. The children had a blast with the hands-on manipulative centers, arts & crafts area, and science centers. Their favorite birthday activity was definitely the story time circle! We cannot rave enough about this wonderful property, the experience we have when we go, and the wonderful staff that care for the families who come to visit!

There has Been a lot of activity going on at the Museum in the last six months. From new programs like mommy and me classes to paint and wine, to the Super Hero Walk and Party on Oct 10. There is a new interest in the community after the announcement that the Museum will go through some renovations and debut new interactive exhibits and programs for children and adults. The Children's Museum now offers costume party packages with a dedicated event planer to serve the community. I feel it is a new era for this historical Museum. The Boca Raton Children's Museum Face Book page has pictures of the latest happenings. http://youtu.be/SIpDAPxmGYE

Best for young children. Not sure of it really qualifies as a museum but more of a cheap air-conditioned playroom. Very uninterested volunteer working the desk while we were there.

Was looking for an indoor playground so I can contain Zachy as I finish a deadline for work. I thought it was gonna be a museum where artifacts are gonna be displayed, but it ended up being an awesome place filled with different play areas and different types of toys and activities. Zachy ended up joining an art class, and a crafts class. I love how the staff starts playing with the kids and they're very accommodating. Ms. Nancy is just wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

We love the Children Museum! We have been coming here for a year on and off and every week at least once in the last 3 months and we LOVE it! The place is clean and organized, the staff is helpful, the toys are great and updated and the yearly price for unlimited visit is unbeatable! THE BEST place to spend the hot Florida day for my 17 months old son! I recommend to every child to experience this amazing children world!

We have found our go-to place!!!! My 2 year old and I LOVE the Boca Children's Museum. Everyone is super sweet and welcoming and the museum is like going to a toy store and getting to open and play with the best of the best toys. We can seriously spend 2-3 hours there almost everyday. There's something for every kid whether they like to climb in a jungle gym, pretend play in the Publix grocery store, or partake in a community Art class..this is the place for your little one!!

Needs a good cleaning fresh paint and updated toys. Felt that I was at a thrift store play ground from the 1980s. Was very disappointed.

There is a snack cafe on the way out to the gardens where you can purchase drinks & light food items. There is also a museum store and a theater inside the museum. I do recommend that you visit the museum as early as possible to have the best experience with fewer people and cooler temperatures. However, the real showstopper here is Roji-en (Garden of the Drips of Dew) - the 16 acre Japanese garden with over a mile of accessible walking paths to explore and enjoy. The original museum building (the Yamato-kan) measures approximately 2,000 square feet and is set inside the garden. There is a huge pond in the garden as well, and plenty of nooks and crannies to discover/ When driving into the museum grounds, you experience part of the 200-acre Morikami Park, which includes pine forests, nature trails, and picnic spaces. You can definitely continue to enjoy your day surrounded by nature in the park once you've toured the museum & garden. Open: Tuesday -Sunday 10am-5pm Adult entry: $18 Plenty of parking in the large parking lot Arigato!

Big bright green iguanas prancing around the property. It is a wonderful day trip, you can have lunch at the cafe on the outdoor patio and enjoy a variety of Asian dishes, boba tea, and other cold treats. There is a short movie that tells visitors about the inspiring life of George Morikami, the man who created this place and dedicated hundreds of acres back to Florida. There was an exhibition on Japanese Bridal Kimonos, Japan's efforts in American wars, and a model 16th century tea house with a very informative diagram explaining the traditions and build out. The gift shop had so many cool things bookmarks, Japanese candy, art, keep sakes, clothes, and so much more. Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens is unforgettable.

This being August 8th it was a day it was open to checkout! It's located at the Amtrak station stop in Deerfield beach and plenty of parking. When inside I was shocked by how many people were inside. It's all volunteer run and let's just say there are a ton of volunteer who love putting this together. These are trains like I've never seen. They are small trains and even super miniature train variants running along different branching pathways and landscapes. There are two giant table setups and one table in particular has several layers of trains throughout. There are also workshops where people are building train cars and designing new trains I would guess to eventually switch them out. I definitely want to stop by again for another Saturday to see what changes and how things may be different from time to time. It's a great indoor activity that's completely free and in the heart of Deerfield beach. Definitely a hidden gem activity you should check out!
