The exhibits are spaced apart so the museum is open and you don't feel like too much is inside. Admission was $2.14 with the sales tax. Parking is free in the parking lot and the museum opens at 8am, Monday through Friday. I didn't get there that early but it was an option. Restrooms are available and they are clean. Before visiting the museum, I had never heard of Richlands, NC. I am working my way through the state museums and this one was just a little detour from my route to my final destination. The museum takes you back to earlier times, when you enter you see the 38 foot long large canoe and just wonder how they got that inside and how it was moved during the time it was used. You can read about all of that on the informational cards. Local history was the focus on the museum and you will learn about everything from healthcare to food to education to the military to transportation to the people who made the county what it was. The children's area has many hands on exhibits about Exploring Mesoamerica: the Maya; Inca and Aztec. I highly recommend visiting this museum.

He also kept saying "it's only a couple of dollars". I said it was the principal! Are the employees pocketing the difference??? How many other people have they done it to??
