The exhibits are spaced apart so the museum is open and you don't feel like too much is inside. Admission was $2.14 with the sales tax. Parking is free in the parking lot and the museum opens at 8am, Monday through Friday. I didn't get there that early but it was an option. Restrooms are available and they are clean. Before visiting the museum, I had never heard of Richlands, NC. I am working my way through the state museums and this one was just a little detour from my route to my final destination. The museum takes you back to earlier times, when you enter you see the 38 foot long large canoe and just wonder how they got that inside and how it was moved during the time it was used. You can read about all of that on the informational cards. Local history was the focus on the museum and you will learn about everything from healthcare to food to education to the military to transportation to the people who made the county what it was. The children's area has many hands on exhibits about Exploring Mesoamerica: the Maya; Inca and Aztec. I highly recommend visiting this museum.

Even though bestie is a lifelong Onslow County resident (most of it in Richlands) she had never stopped in. I figured, we had time so why not? It was the best $2.17 I've ever spent. I learned of OC history, some war history, beach history and always my favorite - Women's History. I sensed that they don't get alot of visitors, which makes me sad as museums are the greatest things left to us by the wealthy and talented, and even though it's a small space, we spent about an hour viewing all the works of art, exhibits of things gone past and history of the OC. They even had a little free craft's kit for the artists of our future.

Fair prices for seniors and matinees. Way over priced on everything else. I ordered a soda which…read morewas $8.50! Seats are worn down, some have uncomfortable bars or hard spots and I find myself shifting around a lot during movies trying to get comfortable. Many theaters elsewhere have reclining seats, its a shame they have no upgraded. Many theater operators seem to have confused loud with with good. Sometimes when at this theater the speakers are cranked up so high the speakers are distorting and painful. I bring ear plugs now and use them to lower the volume.

The theater was okay, seating fine, though my daughter though they had recliners.....lol (in Jville, Na) During the movie we could hear the other movie (SO LOUD) it had to be an action movie. It was hard for us to hear our Romcom. At the end of the movie my daughter went to tell management. Perhaps moving action movies to a different room so it would not interfere with another movie would be helpful. When we told her about how hard it disrupted our movie the cashier just said, oh, I will tell my manager. No apology or let me get the manager. Just Okay.... We will never know if management was told or if they even care. Just an apology would have been nice to come out of the staffs mouth. They need better training on how to handle complaints. Just be aware of what movie is in the next room. The wall are thin.
