I'm writing this review with the hope that it can keep other children safe. We had children in this…read moredaycare for around 2 years and saw it decline significantly in safety and quality during that time (not unrelated, The Goddard School franchise was bought by a private equity firm in 2022, which means they are compelled to maximize every drop of profit). Note: Goddard Schools are a franchise so the 'brand name' also does not mean much because any particular owner can do what they want with their school. Our baby had a head injury while in the classroom that they did not inform us of. Only after we had to go to the ER over the weekend, did we then find out about at least one accident at school (we never got to the bottom of all of them but there was video footage of one). They also forgot to feed on at least one occasion. Now that we are at a different daycare, we also see how poor the level of engagement from teachers was at The Goddard School - the babies were left in containers like seats for the majority of the time. The key issue seemed to be putting very inexperienced staff in the room (and often different people each day) to cover when the main person was out. Our eldest, at the beginning of our time there, would come home with lots of art, we would get tons of pictures of different activities, but from 2022 onwards things changed and we had about one picture per week, oftentimes it was of the kids in front of a screen. A lot of days at pick-up the kids would also be in front of a screen. Our child would have frequent injuries from other kids, that do not happen now that we started in a different school. Overall, they are sacrificing safety and quality in the name of profits. Please avoid, if you value your child's health and development.

My boys have been with The Goddard School for almost three years now and I could not be happier. My kids have learned so much during their time at the school. They love Yoga, they speak Spanish, they do Sign Language, they are very creative with their art projects, they know their ABCs and also the sounds each letter makes. There is so much compassion in the hearts of the faculty - they were truly meant to be in this industry. I had so much trouble pottytraining my younger son - he wanted absolutely nothing to do with the toilet until he met Miss Ginny. She had him pottytrained in a matter of weeks, it was amazing. My children can't wait to go to school each day. I started them with a three day a week schedule but all they wanted to do on their days off was go back to school! They are now on a five day schedule and they are thrilled. The faculty really goes above and beyond the call of duty, doing some things like: * having my son color on a piece of paper and then making me a birthday card * taking pictures of my children playing and emailing them to me while I am at work * making them crowns on their birthdays * letting me know all of the adorable things my boys said and did at school all day They have a Daily Activity Sheet that they give us each day that is personalized for my children. They tell us exactly what they did for art, music, language, science and math that day. There is a spot where they write how much of their lunch that they ate, how long they napped and a memorable moment that the teachers shared with my child that day. I cannot imagine being more thrilled with a preschool - and like I mentioned, this is the third preschool in the area that we tried. I have recommended The Goddard School to several of my friends who have also enrolled and they are just as thrilled as I am. The faculty truly makes us feel like we are part of their family and that is a fantastic feeling!

With scenic walking trails, an outdoor classroom, day camps and a small indoor animal habitat, Briar Bush is a great spot for small children, couples on a date, or anyone looking for a brief respite from the urgency of the modern world. With free admission for locals and a small fee for out-of-towners, the preserve is accessible to all patrons provided that they are able to walk down some wooded trails that circle through the admittedly short walking routes. The centerpiece of the trails is a picturesque, secluded pond with benches for sitting and an interactive sign with information on the local fauna and flora. The indoor animal habitat has a small gift shop, pamphlets on upcoming events and information on other parks in the area, and several interesting animals such as a blind possum named Odin, a bearded lizard named Karl, and several other unique turtles and reptiles. All of Briar Bush can be walked through in an hour or so, but the low admission, interactive nature events and scenic walking trails will have you wanting to return again soon.

They look forward to it all year long. The counselor to camper ratio is excellent. They talk about it all year long. They love the food and have been very accommodating at lunch time to my kids. One is gluten free and the other is gluten and dairy free. It's such a blessing not to have to make lunches during the summer. Overall for summer camps you get what you pay for and while George school is not cheap it outshines others in almost all categories. One area of notable improvement and the reason for my 3 star review relates to accommodating kids with gluten and dairy free snacks. So far this summer they haven't done that effectively and kids get left out or are not included / come home starving at the end of the day. This has the little kids feeling left out and down right hangry / full meltdown when we pick them up. As I mentioned you get what you pay for and for just about 9.5k for 8 weeks at camp for two kiddos we would expect this to be something that could be handled. We would expect to have to make lunches for camp / send them with snacks etc for other camps costing 2-3k for entire summer of 10 weeks but not at George School. I look forward to this being corrected and being able to update my review to 5 stars!
