Ironically located across the street from one of our other favorite ice cream spots (Aldo's), this creamery is more boutique style also serving frozen yogurts, pastries, sandwiches and coffees. Cordial staff and nice outdoor patio area to hang out, soak in the environment and people watch.

Amazing food!!! So much variety, each dish presented beautifully and tasted impeccable. We tried so many different dishes and enjoyed it all. This is a cute little cafe with outdoor seating on the main street in Tulum. This is one of the few restaurants in the area with plenty of vegetarian choices. We liked it so much that we ate at this place twice during our stay here. I had the beetroot hummus toast which was beautiful to look at and tasty although it was a little tart due to pickles and cream cheese. The croissant was quite light and airy, but was served cold so I had to ask the server to warm it up: The oatmeal pancake, Suzy's chicken panini and pivvo turkey were all good, exactly as described in the menu. The absolute stars of the show were the desserts! Tiramisu, cheesecake gelato and Frappuccino were sooo yummmyy. The only con was that the service was slow so we had to wait quite a bit for every order. Even so, I would highly recommend trying this restaurant at least once when visiting Tulum. You won't regret it :)

1 scoop 55 pesos 2 scoops 85 pesos Pistachio was really good and tasted natural. Cacahuate Crunch (peanut gelato w/ dulce de leche swirl & roasted peanuts) was my favorite. Sweeter than the pistachio, so it was a good mix. BF got mixed berries (or something) which was very refreshing. Very creamy ice cream! Recommend. The waffles and other food looked good too. Gets busy in the evenings.

Conveniently located on Avenida Tulum, Campanella Cremerie has made a name for itself by peddling some of Mexico's finest Gelato, though for many the air conditioned store with a shaded outdoor patio is just as popular for Coffee and Pastry in a pleasant atmosphere. Bilingual and buoyed by accolades including a second place finish at the 2016 World Gelato Tour, no small feat against global competition, it is from twenty daily flavors that guests are invited to make choices, everything from indigenous Fruits to Straciatella showing well thanks to a dense and creamy base. Eventually settling on Banana Crunch and Caramel, though Coffee roasted by Italians with Beans from Veracruz was tempting, it was only the presence of Pastel de Nata that prevented adding a Campanella Waffle, though in retrospect this was a misguided decision since the typically crisp Shell was compromised by Quintana Roo's omnipresent humidity.

So I was looking for a dessert place after having some lunch. Saw this place while walking back to the car and and decided to check it out. This is place is really nice. Price isn't bad at all either so I just decided to try something really yummy. Waffle with Banana Carmel ice cream with chocolate and nuts. Perfection made! I wanted to try more stuff but I was so stuffed after this. Really good place.

I wanted something really sweet after dinner, and my friend suggested ice cream. Honestly one of the best places we visited in Tulum. I got the pistachio real (which was the best I've had so far), and my fiancé got the café moka. So good and a must try if you're in the area! And the staff was super nice and let us sample the ice cream before purchasing.

In the Tulum heat, I couldn't resist any frozen treats and gelato was no different. I woke up one morning and ordered a double scoop. I wanted a cone even though I think all the locals get cups because of the melt factor. I took it upon myself to just gobble my cone faster. I picked a caramel and an chocolate almond scoop. Absolutely delicious! The caramel and almond complemented each other. I ate quickly and went through my fair amount of napkins. I love the whole chunks of almonds. It really took me back to Italy. Well done Tulum! Maybe I will need to get an ice cream machine again. The cafe was cute and very European. The coffee looked like a heavy hitter here and also the pastries. I couldn't help but return a different day for a hot cappuccino and an apple tart. Absolutely mouth watering. Since I was there early in the morning and there was shade curtains in the patio, the heat did not bother my experience. I would recommend this to any sweet tooth visiting Tulum and needing a sweet fix.

Our last night in Mexico, so we decided we needed a late evening treat to finish off our trip. We were NOT disappointed! Staff was very friendly, prices are very reasonable, and their desserts.....OUTSTANDING! Their Tiramisu was very light, creamy, and flavourful. Their waffles are quite tasty as well. The heat in Tulum is tortuous. There's really no way to describe it. I was visiting in February for my birthday and decided to do some sight seeing. It was 93 degrees that day, wow! I had some time between a walking tour and was seeking a place for ice cream and shelter. Campanella Cremerie was one of the first places on my Yelp app, so I walked over. Campanella Cremerie has a cozy, modern space. Out front are a fair amount of seating and tables. I walked in instantly feeling cool and relieved. The menu features gelato but also hot/cold food, pastries, and beverages. I would say, its more of a high end, modern cafe more than an ice cream shop (as I had thought). The staff immediately served me and were very attentive. The gelato flavors are a little more unique than what I've seeing the U.S. Yes, they have the standard vanilla but you'll find it in-between a pistachio flavored ice cream, or yogurt con fresitas treat. I opted for a regular sized cup of stracciatella (vanilla gelato topped with chocolate shavings). There was also an option to try a sample of the cheesecake which I definitely jumped on. After getting my treats, I found a quaint spot in a corner and just relaxed with my phone and music. The gelato was PERFECT! just the right amount of sweetness and the texture was soft and creamy. I loved it. I did not like the sample of cheesecake, I just didn't like the taste, a little bitter. Staff were very kind, attentive, and personable. Overall, it was such a calming and great experience on a hot day. I was almost sad when I finished my ice cream. I cannot wait to return to Tulum, as Campanella will be among my first stops. It was a cute spot in the middle of Tulum. The service was nice and really quick and the ambience was amazing! I ordered the Belgian waffle with a scoop of dulce de Leche and my friend got the cheesecake. The presentation was beautiful but the flavors of the dishes we ordered weren't as beautiful as the presentation which made me sad because everything was so pretty. My friend felt the exact same way. We thought maybe it was just what we ordered but when they graciously gave us samples we realized that overall the flavors were a bit blah. I'm not an ice cream person but was craving good sweets so came here to try their cakes. The place is very cute and cozy. I had Americano, Tiramisu and cheesecake. Neither of the cakes tasted cheesy and they were not overly sweet. Tiramisu was my favorite out of the two. They have WiFi with good connection. Glad I brought my laptop to do some work. The ice cream flavors looked interesting so perhaps I'll be back to try some.

New Years Day breakfast! Our last day in Tulum began with a delightful breakfast at Campanella. Coffee, croissants, waffles, yogurt, sandwiches, etc. This is a quaint cafe with table service. Listen to the soft tunes and enjoy the sun on your body as you dine. I had the tuna sandwich which included olives, Parmesan, and avocado. The sandwich was accompanied by a green salad with a peanut vinaigrette. Delicious!!! To drink, I had a hazelnut mocha. 140 pesos total for my meal. I found my choice to be very filling. I was only able to eat 1/2 of my sandwich and I took the rest to go for later. My gal pals had the waffle and yogurt parfaits. They were also satisfied with their choices. If you're looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat in Tulum, check this place out! The staff were also very friendly. read more

We stumbled across this place while walking be around town in Tulum. It caught our eye simply by the amount of people that were already sitting at tables; obviously that was a great move! We enjoyed some coffee and waffles and couldn't have been happier. The lady that seemed to be the owner even gave me directions to the post office, and even asked had we found it when we returned for some water. Also, a personal touch that may not seem big...they had soy and almond milk! Being lactose intolerant makes it hard to find places with milk alternatives here in Tulum! This is definitively a place you must visit! read more

A block and a half from the ADO station, an easy and delicious spot to hit up after getting to or about to leave from Tulum. The coconut juice drink is absolutely amazing and we went there 3 times, just for it! Cafe frio con leche was also delicious. Very good prices and all fresh food. Sandwhiches and paninis come with a nice crisp green salad and the best balsamic reduction as the dressing. Highly recommended and great, friendly staff. read more

We loved this new place on Tulum Ave right next to the famous Anjoitos. We stopped in here for lunch (we had wanted to go to Anjoitos but it was closed) and loved the food, ambience and the warm smiles. The Vegetariano panini was excellent, and very filling. I loved my mint/passion fruit juice. They offered pour over coffee which was decent. We made it to Anjoitos later that evening and stopped in again at Campanella to have gelato. We tried the Pine-Nut caramello and Ferrero rocher (hazelnut praline). Both were amongst the best gelato I've ever had. The Ferrero had chunks of hazelnut and chocolate in almost every bite. The pine nut was creamy, smooth and not excessively sweet- and just overall amazing. Comparing to Grom in NYC or Rome, this gelato definitely made the mark. The establishment at the time was in the process of getting their credit card terminal since they opened only one week ago. Our only critique- we left Tulum the next morning and wanted to stop in for coffee/light breakfast. They were sadly not open at 9:15 am even though their menu had stated they opened at 7am. We wish the establishment lots of good luck. read more

Delicious ice cream and I absolutely LOVED it on top of the waffle with chocolate syrup! My friend and I loved enjoying it as we took a break from our long day of walking up and down the street enjoying mezcal margaritas! I loved the selection and the friendly staff, but the only thing to worry about a bit is the prices. This place was a little expensive. I understand that the place profits off tourists, but the prices aren't comparable to others around. Still fun to try though. buen helado! Me encantó el helado sobre un gofre con chocolate. You must get the key lime gelato!! Honestly, try one of each, they're all amazing! We stumbled upon this place as we were leaving a different restaurant and we couldn't help but stop by because of how cute the place looked, and of course we he room for dessert! Here's the concept. You go to the counter, order your gelato, go sit down, they bring you your order, and then you pay afterwards. Never have I been to an "ice cream shop" of any kind with such kind service, genuine friendly staff, and the food was above par! I highly recommend this place for a nice treat and a an overall great experience! read more

All of the flavors are delicious. Origami, aldo's and all the other places take a backseat to this place. Our favorite is the pistachio so we got a double scoop the 2nd time around but the coconut and mint flavors are also delicious. read more

This was the best breakfast I've ever had. We went here about 3-4 times during our trip. The prices are reasonable and the food was always fresh. The waffles are to die for! The service is also great. The waffles look small but they are a good size, I was super full every time. My favorite one was crock n roll it was so refreshing and not overly sweet literally perfect. read more

The ice cream is so good here that we went EVERYDAY while we were in Tulum. All the flavors are delicious but some favorites were the Hazelnut and Coconut. The Mango was a bit TOO intense but there were also fun flavors like Pineapple and Basil. They also have great wifi here and fans so you can cool off with delicious ice cream. Ice cream was about 35 Pesos for a small scoop. read more

The turkey sandwich was great. Banana waffles great. I liked it so much I went back twice. There was just one employee who worked there that kept giving me stank face. I can't help being from America. Otherwise the restaurant looks super cute when the other restaurants around it don't . The food was worth the price. Okay, I absolutely love this place! The best Gelato I've had outside of Italy and on par with a place we found in Sienna that we have since compared every frozen treat to. Their Chocolate Hazelnut is excellent and they offer a flavor with Basil overtones that is surprisingly delicious. We try to go here every time we visit Tulum. Try this place - you won't be disappointed. read more

Ice cream is good but the service is horrible the girl with the glasses at the register is rude. I would have gave it zero stars. There is a ice cream shop down the street that tastes a lot better. If that girl is an employee she needs to learn customer service especially for tourists people that are visiting. I would never visit location again. read more

We tried sticking to just the local places during our trip but broke down for this place. Definitely meant more for tourists and the younger crowds of Tulum but damn it's delicious. All their flavors are so intense and taste exactly like what they were meant to be. We ate in and they scooped our ice cream in cute cups with generous amounts. Prices were higher than the local spots: we paid 200 pesos for a 3 scoop, 2 scoop and 1 kombucha. But not complaining since that's nothing vs what I'd pay in LA where I'm from. Service was also very friendly and they were happy to advise me of flavors and give me samples. read more

Delicious gelato after a great dinner next door. I've seen some reviews mention high prices (compared to the extremely affordable dinner next to it), but we didn't feel that $3.50 USD for a double scoop in a waffle cone was outrageous. We didn't realize that you were handed menus if you sat down at the tables out front and just walked up to the counter to order, the menu on the boards doesn't list all of the options the paper one does so we missed out there. We really enjoyed the flavors we selected: hazelnut, mocha, cheesecake and Mediterranean storm. BUT...had we seen the paper menu we definitely would have ordered one of their many delicious combinations. Among those that caught our eye were the gelato with an insane amount of topping options, the freshly made Belgian waffles topped with gelato and/or whipped cream, gelato stuffed croissants, and affogato options. No one at the counter mentioned them so we missed out and oogled at the surrounding tables orders as we sat and ate ours, even contemplating a second order. Overall though, the gelato was delicious and combinations were inventive. Clean and modern atmosphere made for a great after-dinner treat. read more

The gelato is fantastic and the staff are super friendly. Good wifi. The masala chai is unsweetened and a nice way to wash down the gelato. A travelling musician happened to stop by and play spanish guitar for us which added to the ambiance. read more

It seemed skeptical, so we grabbed a table in the back. The bar was cool with car frames hanging on the ceiling. We got passion fruit mezcal margarita. The rim was lined with some red salt that was not tasty and our drinks were different shades of yellow (should be the same drink). It was not a good margarita by any means. I don't taste any passion fruit and it was one of the worst cocktails I've had here. The servers were smoking around us and it seemed like they gave the wrong bill to one of the other customers next to us. We quickly got our bill and left after the one drink I couldn't even finish. Not sure if it was an off night, but we won't be back. FYI the bathrooms here are nasty. Door won't close and no lids on the toilets. Save your pesos and go else where.

Cash only (70 peso single and 90 double) and the line can get backed up quickly but it is worth the wait, provided they don't run out of your favorite flavor.
