What is an acceptable time to wait for a large black coffee at a coffee shop? That would be the question for Campfire Coffee in Jamestown, Tennessee. I recently went into Campfire Coffee and, by luck of the draw, walked in behind the Swiss Family Robinson. There were two ladies, five preteens, and all seven wanted foofoo drinks that take a considerable time to concoct. Then one of the ladies pulled out a white piece of paper that was a list written on both sides for additional items. I waited 15 minutes to finally place my order for a large black coffee. With a tip, it was close to six dollars. My expectation is that they would, as has the case with every other coffee shop across this country in the similar situation, they would have taken four seconds to pour my coffee, hand it to me, and wish me a nice day. That did not occur. Instead, they placed my cup at the end of the 40-mule train line of cups they were getting ready for the Swiss Family Robinson. My guess would be that if it took them close to 15 minutes to take the order, it would probably take them close to an hour to fulfill the order. I left. Several days later, I stopped in on my way by and asked for the owner. The young lady who told me she was the owner could not grasp the concept of customer service when I explained my last visit to her. She thought it was perfectly acceptable to make a customer wait 45 minutes to an hour for a plain black cup of coffee. I told her leadership comes from the top, and you have no clue what customer service means. The very least I thought she would offer was to refund me my six dollars that I paid in exchange for a waste of time and aggravation. But no, she didn't even grasp that concept. Campfire Coffee has tasty sandwiches and okay foofoo drinks. My recommendation is that if you want to stop in, take the day, a book, and a beverage to drink while you're waiting for theirs. read more

The best coffee house in the galaxy. Maybe other galaxies too but I haven't been there. Customer tip: park and enter in the back. Besides incredible food and drinks, their attention to detail puts this place over the top. It makes you want to be a better person. Seriously. If a little calligraphy on cups makes people smile, maybe I can do something like that. So if you're within 2,000 miles of this place, like me, go there. I've been wanting to visit this coffee shop for several months now... Today my husband and I stopped in and the place is so adorable inside! The seating was comfortable and clean and they have the cutest little (electric) fireplace which makes it feel so cozy. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I did not feel rushed as I was taking my time trying to figure out what I wanted on my first visit there. I tried their dirty latte and a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. My husband got a ham and egg breakfast croissant sandwich (which they grilled up on the spot). He really enjoyed his sandwich and the pumpkin muffin was soft and delicious! My drink was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again, though I do like just a little bit more spice to my chai. I think next time I will try the chai on its own rather than dirty. Really enjoyed my first experience here, and I look forward to many more visits in the future! It's so great to have such a cute hidden gem in our little town! read more

Great coffee man! It sure ain't whiskey but man I'd say it gets fired up just as much! I love a little taste of energy for the day and after discovering this place, I don't have to drink during the day! I used to have to down a fifth of vodka and take a drive around town to sooth my head when my wife Susan was hollering at me. But this stuff does the job even better! To make it even better, the inside is just real cozy like my old pee maw's house. It's a great spot to hide from my wife when I get drunk. 10 out of 10! read more

Very disappointed. In the past enjoyed stopping by campfire coffee when going through Jamestown. Been twice before and enjoyed good coffee and excellent service; today was the exception. The individual behind the counter said he didn't know what the shop had and didn't have. When asked why he was working then, he responded, they couldn't get anyone else to work. Depends on the employees. Went yesterday 11-25 and service/ specialty coffees were perfect. Today, service was all over with the front girl skipping orders with people in line and the specialty coffees weren't even close to how was made yesterday. Definitely an A team and a B team for sure. Prices still good and a nice little shop but definitely need to get the workers trained the same to keep a consistent groove. read more

Legit vegan gluten free muffins. Salad options for lunch. And the coffee is on point. The owners and workers seem to care about the customers just as much as the coffee which is refreshing. This was a sweet little gem to find! As I was leaving an Airbnb heading back to Nashville, I searched for a coffee shop. I thought I'd just grab one to go but once inside, I loved the music, ambiance and the red coffee cup.
