Extensive menu-breakfast and lunch! Desserts galore! Great varied seating! Service helpful! Beautifully decorated and eclectic!

Avocado toast, eggs, and bacon. Griswald latte. Yummy. Everyone was super nice that works there.

There a some great options for GF individuals. I am so happy that they have GF brownies. The coffees are so good. Recommend a London fog w/lavender and a lavender latte. Every time I've gone there the service is quick and the employees are super kind. The ambience is your typical coffee house. Definitely recommended every time.

Super beautiful place in a small downtown area with an amazing piano in an old building on Main Street. I have to admit that the announced pastry case was rather disappointing, scones were not in the case and there was generally only one kind available. No danish and I could not see and bagels. 4.50$ is steep for a scone or is it me? Maybe they should just put it in a small bag instead of wrapping it very elaborate? I took an iced blueberry matcha with it that was surprisingly good. The hound lady at the register was a little arrogant and didn't have a smile for customers . I wish I would have time to come here at night with the piano going. Update! I already was on my way when I unwrapped the scone it was ice cold and so old that I could hardly break it. I turned around and brought it back . Mikaela at the register gave me my money back without even looking at it, zero apologies, no offers to get me something fresh or different , very disappointed

Farmers breakfast with homemade biscuits and gravy, scone of the day, vege breakfast wrap. Not pictured: pumpkin latte

Stephanie took care of us from the moment we walked in. No stranger to hard work, but everything is so good here from people to coffee to food that the"hard work" is easily hidden. Breakfast served even during lunch menu hours. Great drink and food selection. We will be back!

This coffee shop is Crossville's own "Central Perk" - eclectic decor, delicious coffee, and kind staff! I often drive past Crossville for work, and noticed a sign for Grinder House Coffee during my last trip. I ordered a Pumpkin Oat Chai with a Turkey Panini. Both were delicious- the panini was loaded with turkey, cheese, and rosemary, and came with a side of house-made chips. Although I didn't stay long, I found the coffee shop and staff to be very charming and my new favorite spot when on I-40!

    Angela's Scramble

Busy on this Saturday morning at 9am. This place is more than a coffee shop! Full breakfast and lunch menu, both served all day. I ordered the Angela's Scramble....yummy! Nice portion size (we shared) and great flavor. For coffee I got the featured coffee, hibiscus honey oat latte... delicious Hubby got black coffee, dark, and he enjoyed that Plenty of tables, both high tops and low tops, couch and easy chair. And apparently they do live music at some point. Prices are typical (I hate discussing prices unless they are super low or super high and not worth it). So for our 2 coffees and one breakfast it was $24. Parking is on the street or a nearby small lot. I didn't drive here or park so I'm not really sure but for locals in sure they know the tricks. But if you're visiting this place is worth finding a parking space This place hits all the right buttons, plenty of space, great coffee and food, friendly staff. My only negative comment would be if you want an intimate place to perhaps read or study this might not be it unless you go at a quieter time of day. Otherwise I suggest you give this place a try!

GH Chicken Salad Croissant! Super delicious

Great spot for coffee and food! Wonderful staff and great customer service. They make a really great mocha and the atmosphere is great to get comfortable and just enjoy your drink. Food was delish. I had a chicken caprese flatbread that was the special of the day. Two thumbs up! The next day I had the chicken salad croissant...I need more than two thumbs to give it the rating it truly deserves! The chicken salad mix with cranberry and pecans was amazing but how they toast the croissant is what really makes the sandwich my fave. Wish my business trip was longer so I could try more of the menu. I hope to be back just to eat here again!

    B&G

This is an authentic local coffeehouse in every sense of the word right down to the homemade-like pastries and up to the tin ceiling. It's kind of dark and cozy, and filled with old men chatting about religion, real estate agents trying to make a sale and college coeds. The joint felt like the place to see and be seen. We were served quickly, and my Americano was super hot, the hubs' latte foamy and creamy. The quiche was tasty with a perfect crumbly crust (a sure sign it was made with butter), and my husband was pleased to find B&G (biscuits and gravy) on the menu. Lots of sausage in that gravy! Both entrees came with a side of fruit, comprised mostly of grapes. Apparently, they host musicians on the regular, and I found a beer/wine list, so they must have a liquor license.

This is the breakfast....it's a food of the Gods!

First off, the view is spectacular. This is such a beautiful area. As you would expect a place called "the cookie jar Café" has... Wait for it cookie jars everywhere! It's adorable. Servers were very friendly and food came quickly. Prices were very reasonable. But now the best part, the food. Hubby ordered the country fried steak with a side of mashed potatoes and fried okra. Country fried steak was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Very, very flavorful as well. Mashed potatoes were superb. I ordered the sweet tea fried chicken with a side of green beans and fried squash. Pleasantly surprised to see fried squash on a menu. You don't see that very often. The fried chicken was amazing! So flavorful and so tender. Green beans were a flashback to growing up in the country. The fried squash, just plain old yummy. I think my husband must've said "this tastes just like my grandma made" at least eight or nine times during the meal. Although we didn't sample the desserts... way too full, they looked delectable. Maybe next time. There will defiantly be a next time.
