Signed up for the extreme fjord high ropes adventure but my husband and I ended up doing the regular as the extreme was too extreme for us. Our kids (19 & 15) had a great time. The regular was challenging and fun enough for me. Nice activity for the whole family. They also have something for little kids. Staff was friendly. Had English speaking ones.

Every front desk staff member I have interacted with (at least 4-5 of them) was as helpful as possible. They helped me communicate with the tow company in French, the car repair place also in French, and rental and bus alternatives in French as well. They helped order taxis when we needed to get around because we didn't have a car. They printed my bus tickets for me. They let me use the phone to make calls to sort things out and helped me get in touch with my insurance company. They were accommodating when we needed to come back and stay extra nights when the car was still not fixed. Everyone here was so friendly and the hotel itself is really quaint and beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. I would definitely make this my first choice on any return trips to the Saguenay/La Baie area. Thank you, Auberge Des 21: you made our difficult situation much easier by taking some of the stress out of it for us and being so unbelievably helpful and friendly :)

If you cannot find what you are looking for in one of their many brochures and pamphlets that they have, then you may ask the person manning the counter. There was one young lady assisting someone when we stepped inside. She was busy with the person the entire time we were there. She seemed very helpful to them. Fortunately, we had already explored much of Chicoutimi. Only had so much time left before the ship was to depart. This little information visitor center seemed like it would be very helpful if we had needed them.

This is a small airport. I mean, this is a REALLY small airport. Because once you're in the gate area, there's nothing in there. Not even a Coke machine. Well, there are at least power outlets so that you can top off your phone one last time. Air Canada is the only carrier serving Bagotville with three flights a day to and from Montreal. At the moment, they are using a DH-1 aircraft, a nine-row turboprop with two-by-two seating. It's barely a 90 minute flight, so it's tolerable. Though the vibration seems to have loosened a couple of my fillings. Taxi service here and a couple of rental car outlets. And a small restaurant in the arrivals area. Luggage is a bit slow, since they use the same tractor for departing flights. So they unload the plane onto one cart, load the plane with the next cart and then they bring the luggage to the carousel. Tip: try not to check anything and you'll be one of the first out to the taxi stand or rental car desk. Free wifi = awesome!

I was amazed at the overall personal care I was provided at La Sagueneenne from making sure I had a taxi to take me to the hospital each day. To providing me with translation from French to English for me. It was a pleasure to stay at this superb hotel. Will I come back again??? Absolutely!! Many hotels I called in the area, would not speak to me. Maybe due to my limited French language ability. And just told me they have no rooms available or wanted a very high amount of money for a room almost to the point of gouging. La Sagueneennee is heads above the rest of the hotels in Saguenay!
