But before that, l want to take the time to mention the great service from the young lady when we entered to get the tickets. She was very informative, all smiles, and sweet. The good: Great service from the greater at the entrance. Wonderful bus tour that took us around the place. Bus has a cage in front to put a few wheelchairs and baby strollers. Some places have comedians welcoming us (nuns, residents, etc.) It is great to see old foundations and old houses. Bus tour gives us the impression that we are seeing something that people on foot does not. The moulin and it's waterfalls are breathtaking. The movie show inside the moulin is very impressive (take a moment to stop and view). The bad: No bus lines, so people just arrive and film the place, therefore someone waiting for 20 minutes still might not have room on the bus (how about more workers, or ropes, to assure a good entrance to the buses?) The souvenir shops does not offer much. It is a long walk from the entrance to the bus. This is a great experience for the sad and short history of this little town. A must to see. Highly recommended.

We booked a stay at la Nymphe des Eaux at very short notice. As soon as we arrived, we were so very…read moreimpressed by the house and the warmth reception from the owner. Both Melissa and Stephane lived at the house and were really helpful and attentive to every detail. The house is amazing and the room was so nice, we decided to stay for a second night. Don't be put off by the shared bathroom, as they are very clean. There are actually two, so there was always at least one available when needed. Whatever you do, do not miss breakfast. The food is home cooked, sourced from local suppliers and it is absolutely fabulous. Expect a very big and delicious breakfast which will keep you energised for the entire day! We enjoyed a late evening romantic Jacuzzi in the garden under the stars. Stephane brought us a jug of icy water, which was really nice. We also enjoyed some private time on the upstairs balcony: what a treat! We will certainly go back as soon as we can.
