I've a Texan who has visited Ponce 3 different Tims, and this is my favorite restaurant in town by far--not because it's pizza but because it's GOOD pizza. The thin crust is perfected with the wood oven crisp and there are many flavor options to choose from. Our party enjoyed everything from plain pepperoni to a steak topping. Had lunch here on our 1st day in pounce. The place is pretty empty when we walked in at 1pm on Saturday, but it filled up at 1:30pm. The place become very vibrant and people talking laughing. We had a big steak pizza. Steak is so great, cooked very well. Pizza crust is very crispy, maybe a little too crispy at the edge. Food was very good. Waitress was completely uninvolved in our table. Got the initial drink order wrong didn't come to clean the table off. Didn't come by to ask if we need anything. I had to go up to the body get another glass of water myself and it was not that busy saw her standing around in the room behind us so she was not that busy. Would've given this another star or two had she seemed to give a damn this poor service was reflected in her tip. It's a shame that's such a nice place. It was the number 1 restaurant in Ponce for the longest time. I used to find it the best pizza on the island, oh boy what good days! Not Anymore!!! Had the worst pizza in a long time. Not hand toss, seems frozen crust and the cheese was watery meaning artificial. Nice and trendy restaurant in downtown Ponce. The menu has something for everyone and the staff will make accommodations as necessary. The food is eclectic, fresh and plated beautifully. I ordered the bruschetta with prosciutto and it arrived in a beautiful yower. We got two different pizzas to try and my favorite was the Espanol pizza. The servings are large so make sure to come hungry. The prices are very reasonable and I would be glad to come here again when back in town. We ordered the Quattro Formaggio pizza Regular goes around $14 and large around $18) and rigatoni with chicken and pink sauce. They cook the pizza in a wood burning oven. The crust was thin and crunchy, the combination cheeses which included goat cheese was superb. The pasta was a big hit as well. Staff waa friendly and answered all our questions. Monday nights can be a rough time while on vacation. You're all rarin' up to do something and the town is as quiet as a mouse. So our happiness was immediate when we saw the bright-lit exterior of Campioni. The restaurant was packed and the bar just happened to have 3 spots available. Perfect. When in PR, Sangria is so prevalent--like iced tea's the house wine of the South--so try different ones when you're here. Even the Capris Sun-esque packets of sangria are good (Palo Ready brand was our favorite.) We all started with a green Sangria and it was fruity and sweet--good! Their beer selection is interesting and varied so we hopped on that boat too. I only wish we got to try the food! We were full of mofongo from our earlier meal but as food like pizza passed by me, I'll say that it looked legit. From the bar we moved outside to the tables there. Ahhh it's so nice to sit outside in warm air in the middle of February! The service was really awesome all night.
