No. So you have no right to say I'm making stuff up and call me a liar. Alison and Danielle may be nice to you but they were not to my youngest son. They were very rude and nasty to him and couldn't wait to throw him out. They treated him like absolute dirt. One other thing that I didn't put in my first review is that I called my school district about what to do about my son and his situation at Tutor Time. When one of the directors who has a PhD in education found out that my son was attending Tutor Time of Massapequa, she said "I've had this conversation with them before. Their methods are terrible. The teachers have no training whatsoever. Their only response to when a child doesn't behave is to isolate the child and eventually try to get rid of the child which causes much more harm than good." So it's not just me. Tutor Time has a bad reputation with my school district and they have a low opinion of Tutor Time's methods. Don't tell people to ignore my review because it is a 100% accurate reflection of my children's experiences there and people should know that it isn't the happy, sunny place you insist it is.

In response to the negative review below - This is unbelievably inaccurate and is not at all a representation of Tutor Time. This has not been my experience in the 2+ years my daughter has been there and we have had nothing but positive experiences always. My daughter has a huge personality, super sassy and energetic. She is loved by everyone, the second she walks in the door she is getting hugs from everyone, past teachers come to see her in her class room and we even get to see some of the staff outside of TT bc they love her so much. Big personalities and lots of energy grow and prosper there and to say they are unwanted is very much untrue. Cleanliness is important to them, especially with covid and they are constantly taking the necessary precautions to keep the kids safe. I watch the cameras and they have very specific cleaning routines. My daughter has come home sick only once, for high fever - and she got it from her cousin not from the school. When they called me I was 45 minutes away and it was no problem at all, they were super sweet and took care of her until I could get there. The academic program is great - my daughter comes home every day learning new things. She soaks it up like a sponge and I love how many things they do every single day. There is always reading, writing, math, science - it blew my mind when she started how much she was actually learning. I thought they would spend most of their time playing but they fit in so much! For example just today they did days of the week, months of the year, weather, a fire drill sequence, a science experiment, learned about the ecosystem and counting. To say there is little to no academic instruction is insane and bizarre to me. Lastly, Allison and Danielle are amazing. They are incredibly sweet and love on my kid so much - and we don't have to "suck up" to get that kind of attention. They answer all my emails right away and are always so kind and helpful. They plan the most fun things for the kids and are always trying to do the best for them. I often get to the school early bc my job is so far away and if our daughters teacher isn't on site yet Danielle lets her hangout in her office with her, which is her favorite thing to do in the mornings! Allison sends me cute pics of our girl during the day when she can. They are just the best duo and we are so lucky our kid is in their hands. I enrolled my kid to this center because I trusted the fact that this center expanded the business in this area quite successfully. However, when I toured the center, I was not very happy when I looked at the faces of kids and staff. They didn't look very happy nor enjoy their job. Furthermore, I realized that this place is too pricey compared to the other daycares in the neighborhood. So in the end, I decided to withdraw my kid's enrollment. I visited the center and explained why I made such a decision. At that time the staff promised me that I would get a check for the first month's tuition, because, at the time of enrollment, I have already paid $150 + first month's tuition ($1195). Again, the staff told me that I can get it back and the reason why she cannot give it right away is because she does not have the checkbook. The staff talked about bad things about the school to which I am switching, which sounded not nice, but I did not take it seriously. She also mentioned that there was a policy that I should have notified them 45 days in advance, strictly speaking. I notified them 30 before the first day of school. So I understood that and I greatly appreciated their kind considerations. BUT, I did not receive the check for a month, and I have sent an email to remind that. The response I got was simple enough, "No, you cannot get a check. The owner decided not to do that." WHAT?? They just ate up my $1195 because I was late for 15 days to notify them. I can totally understand if they take out part of that money, but I cannot understand that they took all of it. Even more importantly, in that response, the staff mentioned that the owner called me and explained the situation. NO!! It never happened. The owner did not give me a call and I did not know the situation before "I" asked them. I courteously replied back if there is any possibility for a partial refund and explained that I have never received a call from the owner. That was it! They never responded back to me. I cannot trust their business. It seems to me that they only take care of their profits and tries to get out of money as much as possible. They never considered me as a future family even though I could send my kids to their summer camps or after-school care. I pass the center every morning and afternoon and see a lot of cars in there. Every time, I get very annoyed by their attitude to me, and I will never consider this place as one of my future childcare.

It is almost like you are preparing for higher educational institutions, regardless of your age. I recommended this facility to a friend of mine, as her son wanted to spread his wings at USDAN, so to speak. The studios where teaching had taken place, were now solid buildings and not merely the wooden huts that I remembered so fondly. They are probably more sturdy during the occasional heavy summer rain. You still need a map to navigate the heavily wooded grounds. I remember having an assembly on a daily basis, which often featured a well known talented performer. There is a daily swimming class, a lunch hour as well as time to dedicate to both your major and your minor. There was also ice cream served by the friendly staff at the end of every day, as you walked to the bus. The teachers were phenomenal. Each one was incredibly talented and well versed in his or her craft. This definitely contributed to creating an exceptional experience. Highly recommended.

I promise that I'm not exaggerating. In the most technical sense, it's a day camp. But more like a cross between a college campus and an artists' commune, it's anything but your average day camp. Campers/students, who come from all over Long Island as well as all five boroughs, have total control over their course of studies for the summer and on your typical day at Usdan, nestled within acres of woods you'll find kids (up to age 18) doing everything from welding jewelry, firing kilns, or wielding paint brushes, to singing/playing scales, dancing on pointe, or playing improv games in a acting class. It's a both a place to learn a new craft and to cultivate an already burgeoning talent. Aside from the fab programs (with wonderfully encouraging and professional teachers at their helm), Usdan stands out in its layout and design. Someone made the brilliant decision to take advantage of the sprawling physical environment of the campus, and the result is that none of the "classrooms" at Usdan have both four walls and a roof, allowing art to be entwined with the elements in a really neat way. Many have a distinctly tree-house feel. Trust me when i say that this makes the experience all the more enriching, not to mention fun. There's also a great big swimming pool, an essential part of any summer experience. One of the most exceptional parts of the Usdan experience is the daily mid-day concert that are a daily part of each camper's schedule. For the first half of the summer, campers are treated to performances by acclaimed professionals from all over the performing arts world. It was during such concerts that I enjoyed seeing both Yo Yo Ma and Savion Glover (!!), among many, many others. Trust me when I tell you this is amazing. There is a pond, fire pit and picnic tables throughout the area.it is a nature preserve park with many native plants along with some for sale. I suggest wearing a hat and sunscreen. While there are paths, sturdy shoes or work boots are good too along with a bottle of water. I did sera sign for bathrooms as well. They have a compost pile on the side.if you happen to have peelings from vegetables feel free to drop them off on your visit and learn how they make black gold for the soil.

The lady who gave a lesson about how to track or discover animals around us during our daily life, but the lesson was in a small room with no AC. The boys were not interested in the discussion at all. The session was informative to the parents, but the lady seemed unable to handle younger kids. We then took a nature walk outside and the boys were very into the hike. The trail was clearly marked and easy to access by foot. Parking lot was relatively small. Overall it was an okay experience.
