This is a fantastic venue--true to its name, it's a repurposed school campus. The space has been transformed to offer a wide variety of entertainment, food, breweries, and more, all while keeping the original bones of the school intact. I've visited several times, and while it changes a little with each visit, there's always something new and fun to do. We walked the entire campus, which was surprisingly nostalgic. Everyone at each restaurant and brewery is welcoming and friendly. We made a point to spend some time at Straight to Ale Brewery during each visit--they have great beers and elevated bar food. We came here after work and had a good time. This place was originally a middle school and later a high school, converted into an entertainment venue offering a variety of options, including restaurants, bars, a speakeasy hidden behind the lockers, gaming centers, karaoke, arcade, a coding room, and more. They also have outdoor dining space. We hopped from the first floor to the second floor, room to room, and it was a fun experience. There was live music, the gaming rooms were mostly full while the arcade room was pretty empty. This space is also dog friendly, so you can bring your pups. The food and drinks were decent too. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again especially to sell my magic cards. read more

The music is always uplifting and gives the atmosphere a great vibe. I have never had any issues with the great service and the staff. It is an interesting place, and being able to drink beer in a school setting feels like a dream come true. We arrived a bit early and were not able to access the speakeasy, but we did manage to find its location. Parking is easy, and there are plenty of spaces to hang out with friends throughout the venue, including the second floor and the basement. I will likely return in the future to check out the speakeasy. read more

What a really cool way to utilize a space that would've been destroyed. Ended up meeting family and friends at the Lone Goose Saloon. Highly recommend Mike as a bartender there. The drinks were strong & tasty; the top shelf varied; and the staff was super friendly. The live music on a Saturday night was excellent. The pic doesn't show the crowd behind me and outside. Two pool tables, a pin ball machine, and a half dozen TVs make it cool spot to chill with a group. A few were even playing cards while we hung out. Would have really liked some bat snacks, though, just to keep the drinks flowing. After a bit we walked down the old high school locker-lined hall to a real-live karaoke bar--Lips. This was a lively crowd and the music was great. They really needed more bartenders though, as the lone lady behind the bar had a line of 12+ people the whole time we were there. Again... no food to be found! Parking was good. People were diverse and friendly. There was a laser show being offered, ping-pong upstairs, dance lessons, and a few other things going on here. A fun place for a date or a large group. We stopped by after dinner for a couple of drinks. The first speakeasy entrance was hidden behind a bookshelf. They had a book sale going on with local authors. A traditional drink menu and a good vibe. We moved after that to get some margaritas. Everyone enjoyed those and moved on to play some pinball. The pinball room had all the latest and classic pinball machines. Just remember to get change as they are still operated by quarters. Definitely will return the next time I am in Huntsville. read more

I couldn't decide if I wanted to give this place 3 or 4 stars. Here's why... The good: The large lawn for kids to play while adults are eating nearby. The pizza and beer have always been delicious! Wonderful transformation of an old school. The not so good: It always feels kind of dead to me even though the parking lot is packed. I presume because it's so large everyone is very spread out. It feels as if they haven't made the best use of the large lawn. More picnic tables maybe? A stage and live music out there would be great. I have seen a few lame acoustic shows there crammed in the corner of the pizza place. I believe they are now trying full bands but it's my understanding it's only once a week. And not on the weekend! So that's a big no go for us. Overall, I'm glad this place opened in Huntsville but we prefer the community feeling and music of Stovehouse just down the street. To each their own! read more

This is a great re-purposing of an old school building! I love what they did here. I've been to several of the businesses on campus 805 to include Off Beat Coffee and Straight tonAle. I've also gone to the drag brunch in the speakeasy. I've been pleasantly surprised by each visit! A short walk to several breweries and eateries makes it a fun night out. read more

The primary reason I love Campus 805 is my hair stylist is there - that would be Mason Caldwell at Fringe Salon, which is on the east end of C-805. I like that I can get a Cali roll at Rock and Roll sushi pre-salon/post-salon visit, or R&R will deliver to Fringe. Of the places on Campus, I've eaten at Earth and Stone Wood Fired Pizza, Ale's Kitchen, R&R Sushi, and I've been to Yellowhammer, Straight to Ale, and Lone goose. I do like Lone Goose's dog friendly patio, but it lacks the charm of its former location, IMHO. Vapesouth is now "the Bar" which is really cozy, with a nice patio, and some decent wine selections. it's an "Entertainment District" so you can walk around with your purple cups and enjoy an adult beverage with city council approved extended hours, now! If I drank craft beer, or any beer, this would be a cool place, for wine drinkers, it's challenging. The only locations that serve wine are: Lone Goose, The Bar, and Rock and Roll Sushi. Also, pizza, bar fare, and sushi are the only dining options, unless Bubba's catering offers eats. And, C 805 has been here a few years now - it would be nice to host some food truck rallies or have additional dining options. If craft beer is your jam, you will enjoy Campus 805. And make sure to bring closed toe shoes if you plan to Ax throw. read more

This is definitely a fun, creative place that you must visit when you're in town. There are several bars inside the campus for you to choose. I don't recall the name of the one I visited, but it's right where the barrels are located. The fried pickles were good; lightly breaded not too salty. The ribs were super good and tender, totally recommend that one! If you go during the weekend, try to go early as it gets packed and the seating is limited. read more

This is a great concept. This used to be a high school that has been converted into an entertainment center. There are many restaurants, experiences, breweries, and other businesses housed on campus. what I really liked is that they preserved the school presence and updated many areas. You are allowed to carry your drinks outside around campus. For example, there are still some lockers and phone areas have been upgraded with regular outlets and USB outlets. There is plenty of parking and you really can walk around and explore the campus to see what your next adventure will be. Restaurants and lounges offer a variety of cuisines and there are billiards and axe throwing for those looking for more activity. read more

I have been wanting to visit Campus 805 for a few years. I'm glad I finally got the chance. This is a fun area that seems to constantly have a party going on. With big name breweries such as Yellowhammer and Straight to Ale you can't go wrong. There is also a big field where people can play frisbee or just hang out. Great place in Huntsville to go and explore. They have all sorts of activities - if you're wondering what you can do here's the rundown - Start off with some food at Ale's Kitchen, Bubba's Silver Spoon, Earth and Stone or Rock and Roll Sushi. Continue on the journey and grab a drink at Yellowhammer, Straight to Ale, Pints and Pixels, The Bar, Lone Goose Saloon or Hops and Guac .... live on the edge and get a tattoo at Arcadia Tattoo or throw some axes at Civil Axe Throwing. In addition to all that there's a coffee place, a salon, an event center and some golf. Tons of parking can be found all around the place (tons more in back). Allocate a little time, it may take you awhile once you get here if you plan on doing much in the way of exploring. Really cool repurpose of an old school. Glad to see them utilize space that wasn't getting used. Would recommend and will return in the future. read more

Campus 805 is an interesting concept, but as of the moment is lacking options for a casual visit. The axe throwing place requires reservations in advance. Currently open there is Ale House, a coffee shop, and a bar. We expected to see unique shops inside or some studios so were underwhelmed when there actually weren't many places we could explore. read more

This place was fabulous! What a great place to have a group get together. Atmosphere was fun we even went to Straight to Ale's speakeasy. We have the veggie pizza $14 and I'm a say it's got to be the best pizza I've ever had and thin crust full of veggies! I don't drink but they made me a Cucumber Virgin Martini - that was awesome $6 Our group had two of every kind of pizza and I saw most everyone really enjoying the dark Ale's. Hubby had a light one and said he was disappointed. Waitress was great - worked the table well. Will be back. read more

Campus 805 is one of the best additions to Huntsville that we have had in awhile. With tons of things to do inside of an old school, this is one of the more unique things to do in Huntsville. There's a speakeasy that's behind a set of lockers that was extremely fun to go through! The locations of all the bars are so close that you can walk from one end of a bar to the next in less than 5 minutes! Great idea: Take an old middle school and repurpose it to be an entertainment venue. There are breweries on either end with some other shops mixed in. The beer-friendly arcade was fun. The green space was awesome. It just seems to still be in the works. I wish they could have kept the appearance of the school a little more evident throughout though and not just in certain areas. I tried to book the Stone Event Center for my high school sorority's annual formal. We were very professional throughout all this and have had dozens of formals in the past and have never had this experience. The event planner didn't even give us the time of day, responding once a week MAYBE and I would have to email twice just to get a response. She was very nice over the phone and in person, but didn't tell us about a lot of requirements, which would've been helplful to know months in advance when I first started contacting her. When we toured the space, she quoted us at 3,200 with a 1,500 deposit (which is very pricy for a high school cafeteria). The space is beautiful and the amenities that were included were amazing. We were so excited to have our leadout there! She took weeks to respond, giving tiny details in each email. I decided it was a waste of time when she upped the charge and told us about a $500 damage deposit she hadn't mentioned before. She had mentioned that there had been some bad experiences with high school groups in the past, and that there were lots of other petty requirements that 1. she didn't mention before and 2. were almost impossible to come by. We aren't affiliated with a school, and we have adult sponsors running the whole thing, so i'm not sure why she was so turned off by us. She said the venue required their own security which was 35$ an hour, but we weren't allowed to use our own. If your job is being an event planner for one venue, why are you turning down good business? why are you not responding but once a week and not even trying to be professional and nice? I feel like as a 17 year old girl I tried more than she did in this process. It sucks to feel like you aren't even worth trying for, which is exactly what stone event center rental service made me feel like. I wouldn't recommend this space to anyone not willing to put in months of effort just to get a deposit. read more

A verbal agreement was made to rent the "cafeteria" for a school dance on a specified date and was pending contract/payment. This agreement was made by Cooper Schrimsher, the Property/General manager, with school council officers. Mr. Cooper also verbally agreed to a discount on the rental based on a poor experience with a previous rental for a school function (air conditioning malfunctioned). Within a week of agreeing to the rental, the events manager emailed the Class President and informed her that the venue was no longer available as someone else was going to rent it, and their rental included bar service. Campus 805 clearly took advantage of the fact that the venue rental was being handled by teen representatives, and they did not feel that they had to honor the verbal contract. Campus 805 took an opportunity not to offer the venue at a discount and increase sales with alcohol, but did so with poor business ethics and put the class officers in a horrible position of having to find a new venue on extremely short notice. read more

This place is super cool, because it was an actual school campus that has been converted to breweries and bars. It's a great place to hang out with friends, grab drinks, and explore. I just wish they had a map of the place so it's easier to maneuver around. I like how convenient it is to walk from one side of the campus to other and explore various places. One of the most creative places I have seen!!! Located inside a former Highschool building, it hosts breweries, bars, arcades, and restaurants! There's definitely something for everyone here. We love it and try to come back as often as possible, as the beers change with the seasons! Definitely go to the hidden bar behind the lockers ;) it's great food and great beers :) read more

This is for the Speak Easy portion- I have been here several times and always had pretty okay service. I went this past Saturday and was blown away by how awful the service was. We were virtually ignored by all the servers. It took 30 minutes to get our DRINKS. Another hour after that before we got our food. Which was incorrect so we split a meal of french fries and went somewhere after. All servers seemed incredibly annoyed that we were even there. I will not be visiting again. not worth the hype, the wait, or the treatment. read more
