I like the variety of food options. You can choose from ramen, Mexican, BBQ, crepes, Mediterranean, and bar food. There are options for everyone and it's reasonably priced. The people were friendly. It's a great space for groups. It's very family friendly with indoor and outdoor seating. Took a little trip to Huntsville Alabama with some old friends. A neighbor heard we were going down there and suggested we check out Stovehouse. Boy are we glad she did. It was such a fun and cool venue. There is a large open area for seating, where they have room for yard games. There is a mini stage where a band was playing which was great. They weren't too loud either so we could still have a conversation. There are various restaurants and bars/brewerys to check out. They have quite a variety of restaurants, something for everyone depending on your tastes. All in all, I'm glad we were able to check out Stovehouse and wish they had something similar near me! read more

While visiting Huntsville, we were looking for family friendly spots. I heard about Stovehouse and knew it was just what I was looking for. I wish we had made it earlier in the day to check out some of the shops! We'll have to come back. We did get dinner at Wok's Up and Seoul Good. Both places had generous portions and lots of options! We had our family reunion here and my photos of the food are deleted however we had the taco bar and it was so delicious. Chicken tacos, beef tacos, all the fixings beans and rice. It was amazing.! The service here was very friendly and we were waited on very quickly. As far as the ambience. This was a perfect place to have our family reunion plenty of room. I grew up a mile from the location of the former factory and honestly, we never noticed the factory, nor paid much attention to it, although we used to ride go carts and go to the driving range that was located adjacent to Stovehouse on the west side back then. For several years it was home to a local marketing company who specialized in, among other things, trade show graphics, signage etc. I'm happy the team behind Stovehouse preserved this historic site! I love their sense of humor as evidenced on their website and signage [lawn mowers are only allowed if George Jones shows up; and the trash cans labelled with "Trash Canda"; and references to "horsejackery"]. And I like the well thought out parking lot! Free, abundant parking with wide spaces and 2 free EV chargers! Of the places I've visited are: Electric Belle, Fresco Grille, Pourhouse, the Brewer's Cooperative, and I've hung out with friends at the "Leisure Lawn Food Garden." Of these places, I enjoyed Electric Belle the most, and I think it may be because it is 21and up, indoors and spacious, with attentive bartenders. I ate at Fresco Grille in 2019 when they first opened and the "bowl" I had just didn't do it for me and using plastic utensils in a stryo to go box seated at a tiny table in the bright sun left me rethinking my decision to go there. I went to Pourhouse when it first opened, too, and it was packed inside, it's fairly small indoors, and they quickly ran out of pinot grigio, so my best friend and I went to Campus 805 to get a glass of wine. Also, I really really wish Pourhouse had an elevator so differently abled people could enjoy their rooftop. At the spacious Brewer's Coop., my sorority sisters and I experienced bad service and mediocre meals made with lower quality ingredients, although their wine was surprisingly good. Sorority sis is a member of hte Coop and enjoys their special events and discounts., which is cool! The food garden is good for people watching and live music and there is at least one covered communal area to take your meals and dine indoors - it's called "the booth community seating," paying homage to the Martin Stove's paint booth. Another dislike about SH is the lack of public restrooms, and lighting along gaslight alley. A couple of months ago I met my sorority sister there and we visited Electric Belle and left around 8:30 - she went one way and I went the other. I didn't have my distance glasses, it was super dark, and the one public family restroom I passed, was locked. The good news is, Stovehouse is alive and well and thriving and growing! Every time I've been there it's been full of folks of all ages enjoying themselves, and I've never had a taco I didn't like from any of El Cazador's stores - you really cannot go wrong there. read more

What a great concept but weird execution. How can you have a place that's primarily outdoors yet not make it dog friendly. We came with my parents and our dogs because of aforementioned ambiance only to find signage saying no dogs allowed and observed a patron being intervened by staff turning them away with their dog. After this, I'll never be coming back. Not to mention the prices at all of the shops are insanely marked up, likely due to their rent. But alas, that's not my problem. read more

Storehouse is a fun place to visit with lots of different businesses to check out. The outdoor seating areas are plentiful, and there are some nice indoor spaces for cold or rainy days. If going with a group, it's a great spot so that everyone can get something different to eat if in the mood for something different. In addition to a few stores and a salon, there are a few different restaurants, a brewery, and a coffee shop. If you want a coffee shop to study at, a place to get ramen, mediterranean food, barbecue, or American foods, you can find it all here! My husband and I love this place. The layout is wonderful as all the restaurants (mostly take out) form a semi circle around the courtyard. The courtyard has picnic tables for enjoying your food, rocking chairs, a fire pit, game areas for children, covered and uncovered seating selections. As if that weren't nice enough, they have a high rise stage to watch live music most nights of the week. Bands, as in full bands, (not acoustic, one person strum and hum, perpetuating the music scene downtown. Ugh) begin at 7pm. It's just a lovely atmosphere with children playing and adults enjoying live music while sipping on their beverage of choice. I head to Leisure lawn stage Thursdays for music. My son Andy started me in IPA beer in Pittsburg PA. I go to Pour House for IPAs. Fresco grill has been recommended by Pamala M. Of HSV. Just a little about the Parlor at Stovehouse but most especially my stylist Torey Brook Lavish. She is, hands down, the best person I could have ever chosen to be my stylist. I am really picky and at times difficult, I am told. My daughter "stalks" different stylist and their work on IG. She lives in Ga. and noticed Torey and became obsessed. She said I had to try her out. Well, it wasn't that easy. She wasn't taking new clients at the time (she is now, I believe) and I was finally able to get an appointment for a consult. It was the first time I felt truly "listened to". She not only exceeded my expectations, she continues to do so every time I see her and it has been over 2 years now. We visited on a Saturday morning after a 6 mile run I did with two of my kids. The beer and service were excellent. Little pricey for the beer but it's a nice brewery + area so I feel that is fine. We tried Fresko Grille and the COOP Brewery. Fresko is like Cava so I consider it fast food Mediterranean. Nothing fancy. Coop brewery has a great selection of beers and the Santa Fe hamburger with my choice of sweet potato fries was pretty good. Nice big space with AC to enjoy with coworkers. At the back of the complex there is a large outdoor seating area which is a great event space. This place has true potential and is reminiscent of industrial Birmingham vibes.
