I saw Dr Tara as that is who my friend raved about. I found her to be nice and caring but I didn't feel a huge connection with her. The clinic has a dedicated cat room so I was impressed by this. The prices are fair way less expensive than a city vet. We took our youngest kitty Sophie for her 3rd round of vaccinations as she had her first 2 from the breeder. Like I said Dr Tara seems like a good vet but there was no "OMG I trust you 110%.". She did mention that she was ill with a cold and that she was a bit overwhelmed as she was the only vet that day (Saturday) and there were many emergencies so I tried to cut her some slack. However I had to call in to the clinic for some reason a week later and she answered the phone. She answered the phone using her name and when I asked her she was DOCTOR Tara she seemed nervous and asked if she should recognise my voice. I told her I met her the week before and explained who I was but she didn't seem to remember who I was. Anyway we might go back in a pinch but a few weeks later we took our 2nd youngest kitty to see Janice in Didsbury and we were reminded why we make the 2.5 hour drive.

We had to call…read morethe emergency line and instead of being treated with respect our story was ridiculed and questioned and we were told that Dr Foulsten did not want to wait around for us (we live an hour away and were willing to make the drive) because he wanted to do things on his 'day off'. Not how we wanted to spend our Sunday either, but our puppy needed help and Dr Foulsten was extremely rude to us. We will not be going back and will make sure to share our experience with everyone we know to prevent this sort of baffling "service" that we had experienced.

I had a medical emergency with my pet on a weekend I was S.O.L., they have no on call Vets for small animals. When you phone you will get a recording that directs you to a Vet Hospital in Edmonton, at one time they did have after hour services that is why I switched from another Animal Clinic. My case in point....I had an emergency with my pet dog on a weekend and was unable to reach anyone, I drove to Edmonton to see another vet, thinking that after my pets files could be transferred to this Hospital to continue on with his care....I called the office during weekday hours and spoke to Scott a vet explained the situation and that my dog would need a blood test ( as it was confirmed in Edmonton my dog had hypothyroidism and with the treatment he would require additional undated blood work) he advised me he would have Dr. Casper contact me that was 2 months ago and I am still waiting. I got the distinct impression that because I took my dog to Edmonton (as per their after hour telephone message) they would no longer continue his care...I am very disappointed. That after 15 years of going to this office they would treat their patients like this and I would have to continue his care in Edmonton..... Up to that point I had no issues with this business. My only wish is that Vets today cared as much for their patients, as owners cared for their pets who are willing to pay the ridiculous prices they charge even after hours. Very Disappointed

They took their time, were extremely in depth in their procedure and kind when handling Gomez. They also touched base again to check in on progress and answer any follow up questions I had. At first this clinic seemed great and I got an appointment the same day, however I soon realized…read morewhy and regret going there. One of the front desk employees was friendly, but the other one was rude and condescending, she also cursed many times which is very unprofessional. The exam rooms are very small, and it was uncomfortable to be in with a large dog. When the veterinarian finally came into the room he did not speak very good english making it hard to understand. He didn't wash his hands or use gloves, seemed scared of my dog and the exam was done very quickly. I did ask some questions but he started to mumble and it was impossible to get a clear answer. My dog needed a nail trim and was taken to another area to have it done. I could hear yelping and when she was brought back to me she had urinated on herself. The veterinarian had cut several of her nails too short which resulted in pain and bleeding. If you really care for your pet then take them to one of the other clinics in Beaumont and do not bring them here!
