We scheduled…read morea photoshoot for our first ever dog Ginger, our little Shih Tzu, on her 1st birthday since we wanted it to be special. They worked with our little girl Ginger with such finesse. They really work hard to get good shots. Ginger is a very shy dog so the first part of our shoot was them just trying to let her open up by playing with her and giving her treats. She definitely opened up after a while that's why she got the oh so beloved tennis ball shot! My husband and I are not the best models either and we wanted to be in the photos. They taught us some poses to look decent in the pictures. They really work with you and your preferences--they make sure you absolutely love the prints and the photos you end up with. We had an incident where one of the prints had smudged ink which was very minimal--, but they went above and beyond to literally drive to our home to switch out the framed prints just to make sure we have them perfect! We loved how every framed print turned out. Was definitely a pleasure to work with them. Thank you!!!!

We went ahead with booking both an engagement shoot and the wedding service. For the engagement photos, Elizabeth helped us narrow down a location based on her extensive experience (we selected a place in Ojai). I was a little nervous, as we're not the most natural in front of the camera, but she was great at directing/posing us when needed and put us at ease. It was also a great way to connect before the wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, she had thorough questionnaires/discussions to make sure she understood what shots were important to us and how to best accommodate them. Shoutout to Bryan, her second shooter for the day, for also being wonderful to work with. Be prepared to have a "difficult" time when selecting your photos as there will be many to choose from! For both sessions, she scheduled time in person for us to review and select the photos we liked and for the printed books we got. I'm just leaving our session and I haven't stopped raving so I figured I'd write a review now…read more Rikke is amazing. Genuine and kind human who obviously loves animals - that's number one. My session was one LARGE black lab and a sassy but friendly Siamese cat. We were greeted with the friendliest smile and my dog loved her right away so that means she's good people. Rikke took time to explain all of the process and options BEFORE we even got into the session and encouraged questions. Then we got into the pictures - and man was it fun! She is very patient - more than even I am with my own dog - and resourceful in getting shots! I haven't even seen the pictures yet and I just know they're good. The studio itself is smaller which is as best for us since we had a cat who likes to hide, but even she came out of her shell thanks to Rikke! I thought the pictures she took back then were nice, but Rosanne's skills have greatly improved since then. I had so many photos I LOVED that it took me hours and hours to choose which ones to frame! If I had one complaint, it would be that Rosanne and her team took too MANY good photos which caused me many hours of turmoil while choosing my favorites. Haha. Rosanne and her team were on time, and made me feel comfortable during the formal pictures. I didn't notice she was around during the rest of the day but the pictures show she was there at every special moment capturing them forever. Many of the expressions she was able to capture in the pictures help me relive the feelings I was experiencing at that moment in time.
