I booked in advance by paying a 60€ deposit and, when we arrived, it turned out that it was their last day before vacation. The pathetic thing is that, knowing this, they opened the doors and accepted reservations when they only had 2 dishes on the entire menu; Even more pathetic they had neither potatoes nor soft drinks. We had to go to eat at the restaurant next door. The owner assured me in person that they would return my deposit, but it's been 5 months and I'm still waiting. I have tried to contact by phone and email repeatedly and they totally ignore me. It is shameful and an absolute lack of professionalism to keep the money for a service that they could not provide. Please be careful with this type of practice that borders on scam. Avoid it at all costs! Please send a note to the restaurant so that they understand that ethics are fundamental in any business. This is to be expected in most restaurants if you had already sought out the best Basque cheesecake in the region as we did.
