I like the selection at this store but recently the staff tried to to scam me when I got a new hardrive put in my Mac Book Pro at the service center. They offered to reinstall the Operating System for 80 dollars and when I asked if that was something I could do myself they didn't really say anything. I went home and quick google search showed me that it is something I can do for free myself, I am not the most tech savvy person and it was very, very simple and free which makes sense, the OS comes with the Mac you should never have to pay to get it again. I now realize that this is a pretty common practice in most computer stores but the fact that I asked them point blank if I could do it myself and they didn't help me out is pretty low. read more

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE SERVICE. I was helping my mother do an online purchase for a laptop through Canada Computers using Flexiti Financing (another HORRENDOUS company to deal with), but there was no option to complete the purchase using Flexiti even though the Canada Computers website has said this is possible. Called Canada Computers and they said Flexiti is "blocking" online purchases at the moment, and that got the condescending advice that I should just use a credit card or Interac online to finish the transaction. Called Flexiti multiple times and received conflicting responses: one rep said they never had the option to do online purchases, another rep hung up on me, and a third rep said it all depends on the partner merchant if they'll allow online purchases. My mother lives in Edmonton, where Canada Computers has NO LOCATIONS, so I asked if it were possible to complete the transaction remotely (I live in Ontario and there's one CC in my city). Both Flexiti and Canada Computers said this wasn't possible even after I've stressed that they had no locations AT ALL in Alberta so online shopping was the only option to use their card for financed purchases. Why partner with a financing card that won't allow online purchases when your company has no locations in a city or won't honour it for online/remote purchases? If your partner financing card uses your company as one of its electronics partner and you know that you have no locations in some cities across Canada, why wouldn't you allow use of the card for financing purposes? Isn't it your and your partner financing company's obligation to make an arrangement to figure out alternative ways of using the card? It's like you and your partner merchants don't want your customers' business! read more

Awful customer service. I bought a Samsung 850 Pro SSD from them which crapped out from a hardware failure after only a year. Of course, it being a manufacturing issue, I contacted Samsung first - they told me to take it up with the seller, which is Canada Computers. Now, their hours are already ridiculous enough. They literally work 9 to 6, and are closed weekends. Which means if you have a job, you can only feasibly call them during lunch. Except they never pick up their FUCKING PHONE. I must have called about 40 GODDAMN TIMES, on different days, at different times (before or after lunch too, during my WORK TIME), and NOTHING. NOT ONE PHONE PICKUP. So I contacted them via their website, requested a repair RMA, and you know what I got? One reply email that INSTANTLY closed my ticket, that basically told me to go FUCK myself and take it up with Samsung! Never again will Canada computers see business from me or my friends, and I will forever badmouth them. They are shit. Do not buy from them. Samsung also has a strike against them now, for allowing such a terrible "business" to speak for them and sell their products. STAY FAR AWAY. read more

Bad bad bad! Don't ever buy anything off their website. I ordered a high end wireless router online which indicated it was in stock. 3 weeks later I receive a message (I couldn't reply to or cancel the order from) that the item was on back order. Since I needed the part right away I must have sent 10 messages I wanted to cancel the order but no one ever got back to me. I sent emails to every address I could find on these guys and never a response. I even phoned various stores but the sales managers said they couldn't help with a web site order! After another 3 weeks of waiting I had to file a grievance with PayPal on the order. Only then did I get the refund and never so much as a sorry for the inconvenience message. A miserable transaction that only caused me a lot of wasted time and stress. read more

I built my computer this spring with parts from three retailers CC was helpful for the most part. The first rep I spoke to was not particularly knowledgeable or helpful and seemed more focused on getting me to put my deposit down and moving me out the door. Everyone else I spoke to was nice enough and I ended up getting the majority of my build at CC without having to compromise. Their prices are competitive and their stock is decent. Make sure you call ahead or check the stock level for the specific store you are going to as they are not very smooth when it comes to transferring stock from other stores read more

I purchased an all in one computer back in May 2016 and purchased the extended warranty. The product was a lemon to begin with but it took me four months to trouble shoot to narrow down the issue. I decided to bring in to have the repair service. Apparently, what ever extended warranty I was sold is not eligible for a replacement. Nor was I offer a loaner to help with my daily need. I brought along powercord, mouse and keyboard just incase. While filling out the repair form, I was not once ask for the power cord I had with me. 12 hours later before the store close I got a call from the repair department that I need to bring the power cord. Apparently Canada Computer who sell a varieties of computer do not have a power cord that they sold a computer to me for. So now I have to revisit the store to bring the power cord for them to even begin to diagnose the real issue. I find that really unprofessional. To think I almost purchased a laptop from the company two blocks down and have to deal with such incompetence. What's the point of getting extended warranty to be met with such indifferent and careless attitude. This computer regardless how it turns out from the repair shop will be the last product I will ever purchase from Canada Computer. read more

terrible terrible TERRIBLE customer service! I recently bought a wireless router from this place, by which the sales representative insisted I buy this particular one as it would work best in an apartment building with other tenants using the internet. Within ten days of having it, my wireless connection was extremely poor, and I made sure to confirm it wasn't my internet provider. I called Canada Computers today and told them all of this and said, "we're sorry, you are 8 days past your return policy." I replied "you guys sold me a faulty item earlier this month, but the real issue is that I am too late to return it? That's pretty bad." "He replied that how is it faulty?" I responded " It doesn't work. The only way it works is if I plug the router directly to my computer, but whats the point of wireless if you are doing that every time!?" He said "well you can make an exchange by october 3rd, after that we can't do anything for you." So not only do I NOT get my money back, but I have no choice other than to exchange or buy another dumb router from this place because their policy sucks a big one. I'll never step foot in this place again after this, and neither should you. I give it 0 stars. read more

Bought a refurbished Acer One 10. Was told if there were ANY problems, I could return it within 14 days. With this information, I took the chance on buying a refurbished laptop. Once home, I charged it, fired it up, and everything seemed to be working. Two days later, I went to use it and the wifi would not work. The drivers had disappeared and there was no way to connect to the Internet. I looked up the problem and found that it is a common problem for this device. I returned it to the store expecting them to recognize that this device had an issue. The service guy rebooted it and got the driver back, so he would only refund 90%... Kept 10% as a restocking fee. When I explained that it is a very common problem and that he saw the issue on the device when I brought it in, his response was less than understanding. He told me that any problem could be found on Google. He also said that if it happened to me again, it would have to happen several times in order for them to refund me the full amount. They said they'd check it over in the shop and if it happened again, they'd call me to get the 10% back. They did call the very next day stating that I wouldn't get the restocking fee back because there was nothing wrong with the device. Knowing that it had worked perfectly for two days at my house and then dropped wifi drivers for no reason, and that it's a common problem, I'm not surprised they found no issue with it in a day. The amount they refused to refund me was a mere $20. I'd have been happy to purchase something new instead, spending more money in there store since I still needed a laptop for work, but seeing how they treated my issue, they have lost my business. If a store's staff can be so rude and dismissive to a customer bringing in a valid concern, and have no issue losing one over $20, then I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Re the Vaughan Store. The generic ink cartridges that they sell are pure junk. I have an Ip100 Cannon. The sales guy assured me that even though they are much cheaper they work well. He said that the only difference is the vivid colours are not so good but they are great for general printing. After installing them and printing a few pages i did notice that the colour was not quite what it normally is for a high quality printer but I was ok with that. a few days later after printing about 10 sheets (mostly text) the colour cartridge read completely empty and the black was like 5% remaining. Normally I can print a couple hundred sheets on the black at least and I had used very little colour ink like seriously. WASTE OF MONEY shoppers and Canada Computers. I bought the proper ink elsewhere and right away problem solved..... Some of the crap out there is not for real. No one cares about customer service sadly. read more

Take my laptop in for a simple repair on its charger port, they say it will take two weeks, then they keep my laptop for a month and a half. It finally returns with the keyboard not working, mouse dysfunctional, inaccessible USB 3.0 jack, broken disk drive, and the bottom plate, which they were supposed to replace, was coming off within only a few days of use. I took it in for them to fix what THEY broke, and it took over a month and a half for it to return to me. Each time I called, which was almost every day) to see what's going on, I was told that it's almost here (another day, tops). When I finally got it back, the bottom plate was STILL not attached and the computer flat out stopped working soon as I powered it on at home. Now they are claiming no responsibility and refusing to help me and fix what I paid them to fix. Very unprofessional, clearly don't know what they are doing. Do NOT use their services. read more
