There were clear signs stating to wait for assistance. It was kind of awkward just standing there but eventually a lab lady came to help me. I booked an appointment online a few days ago. I arrived about 10 minutes prior to my appointment. The lab lady took my lab requisition and asked me to wait. She said I wouldn't have to show my ID (I used my driver's license to confirm my identity) until my blood would be drawn. I heard a client in the waiting area, complaining about how slow the lab was and how it didn't make a difference if you made an appointment or not. This was not my experience. I didn't wait long at all! I was in and out within 30 minutes or so. The lady who drew my blood said they try be within 30 minutes of a booked appointment time. Not a bad first time here!

It's located within a mall, so you don't have to risk being subjected to the weather outdoors. I've been impressed with the way the staff have been handling the pandemic. I've experienced where they've done a preliminary check of your lab requisition, at a table set up outside the doors of the lab. They also ask you the Covid screening questions. Earlier during the pandemic, they even replaced our non-medical masks (made us put them in plastic bags and put them away) for brand new surgical masks. Though during my last visit, I've noticed that this practice has been changing to allow for non-medical masks. Of course they also have hand sanitizer to use. The staff are quite organized and efficient, considering the volume of people that use their services. I feel safe from Covid, when I'm sitting in the socially distanced chairs in the waiting room. I appreciate the monitors they have (displaying our first names), so you can anticipate when it will be your turn to get called in. The staff I've met have been friendly to me. This is a great lab to go to!

My wife delivered our baby Sunday evening and the nurses did their best to keep her comfortable. I've been to hospitals with rude or lousy nurses but every nurse here went above and beyond. After our baby was born they helped my wife and baby with anything they needed. That also let me stay over night with my wife so I could sleep. The downside of the hospital is the paid parking and trying to remember when it expires and a lack of food options for guests on the weekends but Tim Hortons was good.

I usually go first thing in the morning without an appointment and have never found it busy at that time of day so I have been able to avoid having to wait. I usually see about 4-6 people ahead of me at that time of day There is free parking outside but you have to pay attention to the signs/ Part of the lot is free and the other part is paid parking. Don't get a ticket!

Front waiting room has a area for kids and a table full of reading materials. Most I ever wait is half hour when it's really busy (compared to most walk-in clinics, this is a short waiting time before speaking with the doctor). I'm not sure if they're taking any new patients at the moment but it's worth asking if you feel you've had enough going to rotating doctors at walk-ins or are not being listened to at other clinics (you are your biggest advocate for your health after all!). I was lucky to be referred here on behalf of a friend who was a long time patient, as is her family. My doctor is no stranger to dealing with patients with chronic pain issues and I get the feeling from the patient demographics that the other doctor is very knowledgeable too. I can honestly say that I'm impressed that my doctor also takes the time to ask the hard questions, to see how are you handling things in work and life. There's very few days I feel rushed through the appointment but I also warn the receptionist as I book if I think things will need more time for the next visit too. I really hope the changes that all AB doctors are facing this year doesn't affect this clinic. I can honestly say, 15 min barely gets into my full summary of things/updates for her and usually my shortest time there is a half hour. Most times we go past that and I'm very grateful that she gives me that time. There is no debit/credit machine here. So if you need forms filled out or have other services not covered by health care, then you need to bring cash or cheque. There's a bank across the parking lot that is a good back up if you have no idea what the fee will be. It is also tricky calling in to make appointments as the phone hours are reduced and no voicemail option. I always make my next appointment before I leave (I'd rather have to cancel/postpone than be stressed trying to get through to make an appointment). There is also no after hours/weekend times that I know of here. The latest appointment is usually mid afternoon. Parking lot is huge and even if you're not right up by the clinic, there's lots of other space as it's part of a larger strip mall area. Shoppers Drugmart is in the same parking lot in case you use that drugstore for your prescriptions/don't want to drive all the way to your regular location. There's a gender neutral washroom at the back but nothing fancy by any means. In summary a good doctor is worth the driving distance and I'm glad I have her on my medical team to get me mobile.

VERTIGO and HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE , issue - it took a long…read moretime, for proper dianosis, walk in clinic doctors got my symptoms all wrong. took a well experienced Hospital emergency doctor to set my situation straight, was NOT Vertigo but HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE causing my problems. 188 / 127. changed up my medication, i feel better now, at least i can function and think, "Not" so tired , light headed, or dis-orintated or falling down. - note of caution during summer months, if possible "DO NOT" go to any emergency hospital. they all seem to be short staffed, and in- experienced staff (students) used for fill ins. "Do Not" let them take blood samples from you, your arm!! they do not have the experence , - you should see my arms. never again. they used me as a guiney pig. for the current summer and short term health care crisis.
