They mentioned that I should bring my Alberta health card and a photo id, when I arrived, there were three receptionists but I still had to wait to be entered present. I saw the technician and was out though in 30 minutes from the time of my appointment. If you are late for a scheduled appointment, they may turn you away. One couple was turned away for being late. They recommend coming 15 min early, probably so you have time to change into a gown before hand. I was already dressed in just light stretch cotton knit, so no changing was required. Avoid logos or prints on your clothes or you'll likely need to change. No buttons, no zippers. Everyone seemed pretty professional and effective. The technician seemed competent and patient with me.

The staff are quite good at pre screening for Covid before allowing patients to come into the clinic. There are some private waiting rooms which allow patients to be separate from the larger main waiting room. The staff I've interacted at this location has been quite professional and good at their job. I understand that the staff need to confirm your personal information but saying your full name, address, and phone number out loud in front of everyone isn't very private. There should be a better way of confirming this information without announcing it to the room. This clinic is located close to Royal Alex Hospital which is convenient however it's in a questionable neighborhood.

Little…read morefrustrating with the initial self check-in with temperature reader that wasn't working well. After going into the radiology section, it was a well run process. Things were timely and explained. The radiologist who gave me a cortisone injection was actually the owner and talked about how pleased she was to be able to meet the need for these services out in Spruce/Stony. She also encouraged me to come back in if the bursitis returns (after 3 months) if it lasts for a week. Good to know rather than leaving it to see if it goes away. I will definitely choose to go here again the future if I need radiology services. Found the clinic very welcoming and efficient. Everything was clean and organized.

Appointment timing is well planned, with almost no wait time. I was reassured when further testing was indicated and time was taken to offer information and explanations. Location and parking are convenient and the facility is clean, relaxing and welcoming. Washrooms are spotless. Available coffee/tea machine is a perk. I was taken in about 5 minutes before my appointment time even though the waiting room was packed. I did spend about 25 minutes past my appointment time alone in the exam room, however the doctor came in apologizing profusely saying she had to spend a little extra time comforting her last patient, totally understandable. I've recently started seeing Dr. Mcevoy (spelling?) and she is absolutely wonderful. She's caring and listens and explains and thinks out loud as to what her thoughts are and courses of action - "hmm, we could try this, what are your thoughts?" and so on. She even sat there and googled images and explained about my neck issues and how muscles and discs lead to pain, pointing out where my issues were. The reception can be a little blunt at times and I was given the wrong date for my last appointment and missed it. Lesson learned, phone a couple days beforehand to make sure. Other then that, a stellar clinic.

My body hates me. Sports season rolls around four times a year for me, and I always end off every…read moreseason with various injuries: stress fractured tibias, heel pain, knee pain, mashed up fingers, bleeding toes. To say that I play pretty hard and don't think about the consequences is a bit of an understatement. I visited the ESI after a fairly bad injury to my right leg that had left me with some nerve damage - meaning I was having trouble actually using my foot to walk, which scared me pretty badly. After a bit of googling, I found ESI and sent them an email outlining what I had done and my symptoms - I am not a professional athlete and I had already had x-rays done at a medicentre claiming "nothing was broken," so I was nervous as to whether my case was actually legitimate or not. Low and behold, I was emailed back almost immediately by the admin staff, asking me to call in and make an appointment. They were able to find me an appointment within a few days of sending that email, which is an amazing feat for any doctor's office. I went in and saw Dr Gregg and he was a wonderful doctor - really understood that my active life is important to me and gave me the facts straight without being unfriendly. He was confident and knowledgeable and I walked out (well, hobbled out) feeling really great that I had found a solution to some of my injuries. He explained a lot of things about my feet and legs that no other doctor has taken the time to explain to me. I have also had the pleasure of seeing David, one of the individuals at the ESI who does orthotics making and fitting. Booking several appointments with him for the various fittings and consultation was very easy and he seemed to really love his trade and be genuinely concerned for my health. I have been wearing my orthotics for almost a month now and have seen severe improvements in my running stride and my pronation. It is scary how many injuries came out of those elements alone and how long it took for me to find a doctor in Edmonton who actually figured that out. The clinic itself is very nice and clean, and includes a large physiotherapy space on site. All orthotics are also made on site, which is nice to know. If you have any problems with muscle pain, injuries, mobility issues or foot pain, I definitely recommend calling and getting yourself in to see the doctors at the ESI. It's really great to find a medical centre that is going to get you the answers you need to be active and pain-free.

I suggest you find a driver to drop you off and they can visit Kingsway mall nearby or take transit. The wait time is pretty organized so try to be on time. Same thing wait room, then screening room, another patient waiting room, & finally the appointment. Recommended for anyone who needs specific pain management but you do need a referral with a requisition from your doctor for a specific reason.

Since approximately 2018, I have experienced ongoing difficulty reaching the clinic by phone after a longstanding pattern of not receiving callbacks after leaving voicemail messages. Calls frequently go unanswered, and voicemail messages are often not returned. This has been a consistent pattern over several years, resulting in limited ability to reliably contact the clinic regarding patient care concerns. On the occasions I have reached "Pat" (office assistant), I have been told she is busy. However, when I attend the clinic in person she has not appeared to be occupied with patient related tasks and has instead been conversing with staff or not engaged in work at the front desk. I have spoken to other patients that attend this clinic and they have the same complaints and find it highly annoying. This creates a barrier to accessing care and communicating with the office. Based on my experience, patients should be aware of communication challenges when dealing with this clinic.

The entire staff was friendly and happy to be doing what they were doing (someone loving their job makes all the difference in the world. So, if you need to get an x-ray or an ultrasound and the wait time is too long in Edmonton, head out to Devon (I got in 2 months sooner than I could get in anywhere in Edmonton).

Had it not been for them the mass would not have been found at a very Early stage. I see them on a regular bases since and once again they have made the whole bad scenario as pleasant as possible. Now while we wait for results they are still there and even if a person just needs to talk they have asked me to call as they are more than just in the medical profession they are human.
