There are recommendations for each condition or symptoms on the website which I was very pleased to see and all were helpful. I went in and ordered my bed. They delivered it and set it all up which I was very pleased about. If you are looking for a specialized bed at a great price - this is the only place you should be looking. Thanks to Bill and the team I now will get a great nights sleep forever!!

    UPDATE 11/30/25:…read more Store's Follow-Up Request Ignored by Management Despite the owner asking me to call the store manager about this unusable mattress, my message to the manager has gone unanswered for over a week. Meanwhile, this mattress continues to get worse. It simply cannot handle my 122 lb. body weight when in use. The materials instantly compress so much that I experience physical discomfort and soreness (an iPad on a stand next to the bed is now exactly level with my face while I'm lying down). This points to a massive failure in the product's support capacity. I'm forced to sleep on my couch now rather than my bed because of the hip and glute pain I'm experiencing. This company's system for resolving customer complaints is clearly broken if the manager ignores a significant issue a customer is having. I cannot recommend a company that sells low-quality products and provides zero follow-up customer service. I will file a formal complaint with the BBB and the NYS Consumer Protection Agency if I don't get a response soon. *****ORIGINAL REVIEW***** I purchased the Celestial Pegasus Plush Innerspring mattress and thought I'd finally get relief from the hip pain and foot numbness I had from my four year old Saatva latex mattress that I spent a fortune on. That wasn't the case. The Pegasus "Plush" wasn't plush at all and the hip pain and foot numbness continued. I should note the pain and numbness only happen when I'm lying down in bed so this isn't a medical issue. I used their exchange policy after sleeping on that mattress for 30 days and exchanged it for the Simmons Emerald Coast, which I was told was a plush mattress. Now I have a whole new pain - my glute is constantly throbbing from lying on this mattress and now I'm stuck with a very expensive mistake. Never purchase a pillow top from Simmons. They sag very quickly. After doing some Googling, I found out this mattress is best for back sleepers and I can see why. That's the only way to sleep on it without much pain, although I'm a side sleeper and can't get used to sleeping on my back. I told the salesperson that I am a side sleeper so I figured he was pointing me in the right direction for side sleepers. I don't have the money to purchase yet another mattress so I'm forced to live in pain. I never in my life had so many issues with mattresses and I know it's possible to be comfortable because I recently slept in a hotel and at a friend's and had no issues. Prior to purchasing the Saatva and then these two mistakes from City Mattress, I never had issues. Bedtime was a pleasure for me. Now it's torture. Service was just ok. Nothing special, but not bad either. I suggest going elsewhere where there are many more brands to choose from.

It is completely okay and encouraged to lay down on the beds and test them out, even if you go back and forth a bunch of times for comparison. The staff makes you feel like it's important that each customer is happy with their choice - not pushy at all, very friendly and helpful. Although I did not end up purchasing a mattress on this trip, when I am ready to do so, this is where I'm coming back to.

    Given how my first experience with this store turned out, I was very reluctant to return. Sadly, my…read moresecond experience has been every bit as bad. My first purchase with Sleep Country in 2010 was a nightmare. The salesperson violated my privacy and the law by disclosing my address to someone they shouldn't have, causing me serious distress. Then, when my mattress was delivered, the driver cut himself and bled on it as he was removing the plastic with a box cutter, which voided my 180-night sleep guarantee. I had to fight for an exchange, and their only apology was a cheap sheet set that ripped after a few uses. I swore I'd never shop there again. Recently, I reluctantly gave them another chance. I told Prasad about my past experience, and he assured me customer service was a priority. That turned out to be false. My delivery was nearly three hours late which interfered with returning to work, and the mattress arrived with a "floor model" tag stapled to it. Unsure if it was used or a mistake, I contacted the store, but Prasad wasn't available, and the staff refused to help. They directed me to customer service instead. After much confusion from the rep, I was instructed to send photos as proof. Upon review of the photos, I was told the wrong mattress had been delivered and needed to be exchanged--costing me another day off work the following week. When the replacement arrived, despite explaining to the delivery team that they needed to bring it into the building via the moving room, they ignored me and brought it through the lobby. They totally disrespected me and my building's rules despite my clear instructions, which got me into trouble with building management. And when I opened the plastic on the replacement mattress, it ALSO had a "floor model" tag, forcing me to go through the process all over again with customer service. Hours later, customer service finally got back to me and claimed it was actually a new mattress that was intended to go to a store as a floor model but since it was new I could keep it. Also, the first mattress had been the same thing! That meant I had wasted time and lost an additional workday for nothing!! I called Prasad to explain everything that had happened. To my shock, he said I was better off with the floor model because manufacturers made floor models better and more sturdy than regular mattresses. THAT was an eye opener!! It means people don't receive the same quality they see in the store!! He also promised to contact head office to request compensation for all the inconvenience I had been caused. BUT I never heard from him again!! Instead, I had to deal with customer service because management refused to deal with the issue. They refused a partial refund or discount, eventually offering a gift card which meant they would make additional sales. They claimed I could use it in-store OR online. That turned out to be false too--Sleep Country gift cards aren't valid for online purchases. Only PayPal and Credit Cards. Between this ordeal and my 2010 experience, I will NEVER shop here or any other Sleep Country again. This company is a complete joke.
