Overall it's a good range if you plan to stay for an hour or more. $13 gets you a range lane with unlimited time until they close (probably). You can bring multiple pew pews as well as shoot brass and steel (bullets and cases). There are four ranges, all can be used with pistols but only three with rifles (25, 50, 100 yard). The stations are at a perfect height and each station comes with a metal chair. You definitely want to bring your own ammo and targets. Small stacks of select ammo behind the counter, looked like mostly Hornday. The person working the register can lend you a chamber flag and one handed stapler for your targets, big plus there. My only gripe which made it 4/5 stars is the drive into and out of the place. No way to fit two cars easily down the gravel path at the same time. I somewhat get that it would be a hassle to widen it, but it would be nice. Perhaps a crowd funded pavement driveway? read more

It is a great outdoor gun range, run fairly safely. Problem is that the business is run as they want it to fail. No website and they don't even control this yelp page. The hours posted here and everywhere else aren't correct, so you can drive out to the middle nowhere to find the gates locked. I can't even imagine how much business they have lost. I don't even trust that they can change their answering machine message. After 2 pointless drives out there, I'm DONE with these clowns. read more

Been here twice. It's an outdoor range with a LOT of space. Not far from home and clearly a small business which I love supporting. I have no clue if there is a bathroom there though as I didn't see a clearly marked sign. In that area I wouldn't be shocked if it were a port-a-John, but I arrived towards the end of the day so about the time I got the rifle sighted in, it was almost time to wrap it up so a bathroom was the least on my mind. Update: I saw the sign for the bathroom. Is back behind where the owner checks you in. 6pm I believe is the cut off time for any action down range (cease fire warning comes over loud n clear on their intercom) but today it was 5:15 so I believe it's just sunset. The owner can be kinda pissy when he wants you out - period. Like okay, get the heck out now! Lol but whatever, it's his business. Friendly folks who shoot there and aside the $10 per person fee (I guess it's okay if you're there for a long time but for just a bit over an hour, I thought it was a bit pricey) when both were on the same lane, it was a great experience. I believe it's $5/day for kids 16 and under. Note: The owner smokes and it's a small office when you walk in so be aware. I'm not a fan of smoking and the place was thick with it lol. Even still, the experience was worth admission and holding my breath lol. read more

Good place for outdoor practice. It gets crowded quickly, so we go early. They are good people and very safety oriented.

This range is pretty good. $13 range fee is a very reasonable price for what you are getting. Plenty of space and plenty of different distances. It is a little rundown but all you need is a place that lets you shoot and it's a good range. They do brief that it is a range for everyone so there is no "rapid fire". So this is not the place to go if you want to do tactical shooting and movement. You have to stay in your stall. The employees are helpful and make sure the range is safe so that's a plus. They are not in your chili either and as long as you are safe you can have a good time and take shots at a decent rate. Overall a good outdoor range. You might not be able to do everything you need for training but you definitely can get some good accuracy practice and have a good time shooting at targets. read more

DISCLAIMER - This review is based on the new policies implemented after an accidental shooting that took place 8/6/16. Following the mishap that happened at the being of August, the owner implemented some 'knee jerk reaction' policies. Upon arrival and payment of the $10 range fee, you are required to read a set of range rules then sign and date a form. The rules are nothing special, run of the mill gun range stuff. Weapon safety on the line, cease fire calls, etc.. I've been to this range many times before and this was new. Used to be quite the laissez faire kind of range. I shrugged it off and proceeded to the line. I was out with a friend this day, both of us had been here quite a bit in the past. We were unpacking our stuff when I noticed the owner come from the office and walk up and down the line staring at people. Not in an interested way either but a directed/angry way. Was very uncomfortable. Red flags went off when the owner told a gentleman to leave for some reason. Didn't overhear the reason. From my perspective the guy hadn't been doing anything amiss; had been sighting in a long rifle. Long story short, my buddy took his rifle out of a hard case to lay on the table and by doing so, somehow drew the irate owner down on him. The owner claimed my buddy was pointing a weapon down the line and that by doing so violated the rules and he was to leave immediately. Keep in mind the rifle was empty and safed as it had literally just been removed from a case. Oh and it was never pointed anywhere but down range. My buddy protested, owner started yelling and said he'd call the cops since he was being argued with. We then packed up, asked to be reimbursed our range fee since we had been out less than ten minutes with no shots fired. We were vehemently denied and yelled at to get off the property. I understand trying to make sure safety is observed on a range, especially so after an accident. The owner's approach, however, is borderline insane. He walks up and down the line looking for any reason to kick people out. It seems in my situation, he didn't like the look of my buddy so he invented a reason. As we were loading our vehicles I overheard the owner yelling at another person or group to get out. Not minutes after we had walked out. Formally 5 stars, will remain a single star until the policies improve. read more

I've been in OKC for almost two years, and this is my go-to range. Its an outdoor range, and costs $10 for the day. They have multiple distances. 7, 15, 25, 50, and 100yd if I'm not mistaken. No shotguns allowed though. (That's why it only got 4 stars)The old man behind the counter is a "Good ole boy" Never seen him with out smile on his face. If its a nice enough day out, spend the extra time driving out to El Reno to this place. read more

I shoot here more than I do at any of the other ranges in the area. Primarily because it's local, very spacious, and it's never really crowded, even on the weekends. It seems like more people shoot on the rifle range there, because on the pistol range, I'm usually either alone, or there's 1 or 2 more people there shooting and that's it. They usually will brief you on safety when you get there, Ive been waved through a few times without the briefing because they recognized me from my previous visits, but it really just depends on who's working there that day. It's an amateur range and they're just trying to keep it safe. It's not very often that they have to scold anyone on the range, but I have seen the occasional dumbass run out on to the range to set up targets while other people are still shooting. As long as you have enough common sense not to do make mistakes like that, you should enjoy your time shooting there. Like most ranges, rapid fire and quick-drawing aren''t allowed, likely because it's an amateur range. Good place for target shooting or sighting in a rifle. read more

As you walk in, the front office is smoky from the grouchy chain smoking old man who runs the place. This guy never needs to deal with a customer or the public again. It doesn't get any ruder than this old guy. You pay $10 and make your way out to the range. We were on the pistol lanes at the very end. We watched this old man make his way down to where we were, yelling at people along the way. When he made it down to us, we hadn't loaded, or even fired our weapons yet. He began screaming we were shooting when people were down range. The same thing he accused other people of doing. We hadn't even loaded a single weapon yet. We explained that to him, and he cussed us out screaming we could leave. This is NOT how you run a business. As a customer, we have choices where we spend out money. It wont be at this range ever again. The old man is rude, and possibly dealing with mental issues. Great combination to have a gun range. I'll go elsewhere and suggest you do the same. read more

Well it is no longer the Wild West.... much safer and cleaner then it was before.... if your looking for a safe place to shoot this is the place to be. The new owner is very knowledgeable and extremely approachable and very well mannered and always available to help I would recommend this place to anybody who wants or needs more range time without the risk of catching a bullet!!! read more

Good outdoor range. Cold when its cold hot when its hot. When you arrive you will be asked to read the the range rules. Read them and understand them. The owner has very little patience when it comes to unsafe acts. People have been seriously hurt there in the past. You will sign off on it. When someone is wanting to go down range to set up a target YOU NEED TO SET YOUR WEAPON DOWN unchambered and step back BEHIND the line until the person or persons is finished. Cost 10.00 (as of 9-28-2017) and you get 2 targets, and a stapler if you dont have one. One draw back it that there are no partitions so it someone is shooting a automatic weapon to your left you may get hit with ejecting brass ect. Some rifles can throw spent casings fast and far. I've been shooting here for over 20 years! This is the only place I ever go! Outdoors, with fresh air, no rush or hurry to get done, plenty of time to chat with friends and make new friends! No member fees or commitments. 5-10-25 Yard Pistol Range (.22 and below rifles also on this area) 50-100 Yard Rifle Ranges (Pistols are fine on these, good luck hitting anything :-) Lots of room for probably 50+ shooters at a time. $10 per day, includes a target, .25 each for more. Harry is the owner, and he can help with gun issues too! He sells some ammo, mostly .22, .40, .45, 9mm at reasonable prices. He rents gun rests, etc, and occasionally has a gun for sale. Harry runs a great range. It's not pretty or fancy, it's just open and fun! RIfles, pistols, and even BB Guns are allowed, no shotguns. No rapid fire - 2 seconds between rounds. The also have occasional competitions and there are often Conceal Carry Courses being held there by instructors who do not work for the range. Harry gives discounts for supervised children who come to shoot with their family. The shooting area is covered so if it rains a little it's fine. Sometimes the chairs are sparse so a folding chair isn't a bad idea. Smoking and food and drinks are allowed at the range stations and since it's outdoors it rarely offends anyone, except the cry baby types :-) Come and enjoy a day at the range with Harry and his friends! One of my favorite ranges near home. This range has a covered concrete pad with concrete stands. Ranges from close targets (Hand guns) to medium (Zero), and 100 yard range to site rifles. There is a restroom. The staff has always been friendly, but like anywhere else if you give tude you get tude. The owner doesn't need this business to live, I think he enjoyes the interaction. I think it's $20 to shoot all day. I usually bring a cooler with cokes and sandwiches. I've always had great conversations with other patrons and sometimes I've got to shoot guns that i've never shot. The small shop in the front can't guarantee that they'll have the ammo you need, but they do carry some. NO RAPID FIRE. I have seen people asked to leave for this. It's simply not safe to fire a weapon in rapid succession here, it's too tight. read more

Great low tech range. Friendly people and a great price.

Since the new owner has taken over it has become safer and more structured. It is really cleaned up now. The only bad thing is that they are only open Friday Saturday and Sunday because of slow business. And if it rains or gets a little to cold they will close on those days. Before, with the old owner it was open everyday unless there was a bad blizzard or ice storm. A lot of us would go shoot during the week because of job schedules. Now I have to go somewhere else. read more

Under new management? Well it didn't get any better. Too many silly rules that do not make sense. Kept having to stop shooting and step behind the yellow line because someone on the other end of the range wanted to change targets. No separation between ranges and there are very few places to hang targets. So much brass on the ground almost slipped several times. If they spent as much time sweeping the brass up as they do standing behind you waiting for you to do something wrong it could be a safer place. Still, not a conducive environment to enjoy the sport. Also, the tin cover that is over the complete firing area causes it to be extremely noisy. Even with hearing protection I think I have damaged my hearing. And, no concealed carry allowed? Are you kidding me? Will not go back to this place. read more

My son took me to this range for father's day because I was wanting to use a 100 yard lane in order to site in a couple of red dots that I hadn't had a chance to site in yet. I read the reviews which basically seemed to all be pretty favorable until it seems that there was an accidental shooting that occurred there. After that it seems like all the reviews are fairly negative. I always like to keep in mind there is two sides to every story and so we gave it ago. When we got there we went into the smokey office. It does smell heavily of cigarette smoke but there were two range officers there and we were told the range is under new management now for the last few months. They were very nice and went over the range rules as this being our first visits. Overall the range was pretty clean. They have this weird metal blockade thing so you are unable to stand and fire at the 100 yard ones but since I was trying to dial in red dots i was going to be standing anyways. They are a bit over zealous with the safety. One of my AR's was giving me some issues so I cleared the weapon put the chamber flag in to indicate it was clear and tilted the firearm up so i could remove my takedown pins and investigate. I was yelled at to keep my rifle pointed downrange. I know the person has no idea how much knowledge i may or may not have but I clearly had the weapon cleared and was clearly trying to work on it in a safe manner. Overall they were just trying to keep everyone safe so I'll keep that in mind. Overall not horrible the price is decent at 10 a person for as long as you want and you get 1 free target. Additional targets were i believe 1 dollar. I think a few modifications in attitude with the range officers and modifications to the range would make this range a really awesome deal and great outdoor range. Its just not quite there. PS No shotguns allowed the sign said so keep that in mind. read more

Have been going there for 5+ years never had any issues. The place has been in state of on going deterioration, physically. However It's been ok to shoot at. One day, in early December my son (whose 23) and I were all alone shooting at the 50 yard area. We clear our rifles go down range to check targets and tape the holes. No one else was there. We were just talking as we walked back. Apparently we were not fast enough the old guy that runs the place. He yelled at us that we disobeyed the rules, that we should've immediately gotten back up there and stood behind the yellow line. He was asking us to leave because we violated the rules ( is there one about how fast you have to walk back from the targets) . I guess his new business plan is take your money... run you off 20 minutes later. Either that or he's got a serious case of dementia, or both. We left. It used to be fun place, but it's turned into a crap hole. What he is doing is just fraud. I will never be back. H&H has an in door 30 yard range. Same price and I've never had any issues. Going outdoors was nice while it lasted. Stay away... read more
