Our group booked a 9:50am tee time, tee'd off around 9:45 after the group in front of us tee'd off early. Course management/staff failed to mention a tournament was starting at 10:00am - the first group of the tournament caught us and the rest of the regular players pretty quickly, and proceeded to hit into us the rest of the round. After the turn, one of the starters asked if we were in the tournament, and told us the tournament never should have caught us due to a 30 minute gap between our tee time and the starting of the tourney. We were told to "stay on the ass of the group in front of us" to preserve the tournament's pace of play. Towards the end of the round, one of the players behind us bounced their ball off our cart as we were pulling onto the 18th tee box, and then hit just left of it as we approached the green of that hole. We spoke with staff after the round and were told the tournament started at 10:00am, meaning there was no 30 minute buffer. Our round ended at 1:46pm, being four minutes short of a 4 hour round. Staff in the pro shop couldn't have been more condescending about the situation, and scoffed at the idea of players being able to determine when tournaments were being held prior to booking out a tee time. Overall, the experience was horrible, and I would have appreciated a refund on the round. Maybe don't book out normal player tee times prior to a tournament that will have accelerated pace of play, and hone in on those customer service skills across the board. It's a drop in the bucket for them, but I won't be playing here again. read more

Lincoln Park Golf course if a wonderful course with two 18 hole option just a little north and east of downtown OKC. The east and west courses. The east course is a little tougher but the both play well. I was over here looking to see if they might also have a disc course tied to it but didn't see one. Parts of this course dates back to the 20's. They have a very large clubhouse with food and drink as well as a nice practice driving and putting areas. have to say, after playing Lincoln Golf Course for years, today was one of the most frustrating experiences our group has had. We had seven golfers. Six of us teed off first--four in the first group and two behind--with our seventh player arriving late. At that point, the six golfers had three carts. When our seventh player arrived, he was told they would take him out to meet us around the fourth hole. We explained that he needed his own cart because there were already six golfers occupying three carts. After quite a bit of disagreement, they finally allowed him to take a fourth cart. About a hole later, while one of our players was actually addressing his ball, a golf cart came driving toward him and continued directly to our tee box. A gentleman then told us he was there to "repo" one of our carts. We spent several minutes trying to explain something very simple: We had seven golfers and four carts. He repeatedly insisted that we only had six golfers. Yes--we HAD six golfers before our seventh player arrived. That was the entire reason for the fourth cart. What bothered us most wasn't the misunderstanding. Mistakes happen. It was the argumentative and confrontational way the situation was handled, including coming onto the course and interrupting play rather than simply verifying how many golfers were in our group. All seven of us left extremely disappointed with how we were treated today. Lincoln is a course we enjoy playing, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Customer service and basic communication should have handled this situation long before someone came onto the course trying to "repo" a cart that our seventh golfer legitimately needed. read more

My expectations for municipal golf course is always low and thus I always enjoy. This place was from my OKC buds who have played the GC for 25 years plus was an enjoyment. Thus, they knew how to keep me on the straight and narrow and ensure that I knew what position to be in. What pleasantly surprised me was the fast play, superior driving range, and the totally pleasant and polite golf staff. For a municipal GC the playing grass, greens, bunkers, and playing experience is superior. Play the GC if you get a chance. read more

The course is nice but the management of the course is terrible. The position of carts via GPS is only on a couple holes even though there are several with blind tee shots. We got hit into several times. We couldn't play faster because the course was backed up which leads me to say there is no course marshal. I was told there is one on a voluntary basis but we never saw him/her. We saw the beer cart person 5 plus times but no marshal to keep play moving. Don't recommend as there is zero course management to keep people enjoying the course but manage the ones who just have zero etiquette. Additionally, 90-degree all day long slows play significantly. Manage the course and change the 90-degree at an appropriate time during the day. read more

Good fairways but the greens have lots of sand and interferences on them. But golf carts are good, and range is pretty good.

I've played a couple of times here and very much enjoyed myself! Beautiful pro shop and restaurant, clean restrooms with showers. All of the employees from the kitchen staff to the pro shop workers were kind and helpful. Side note - the kitchen makes a heck of a BLT if you get snacky. The course has always been in good shape when I've played here. There are lots of hills and blind drives to challenge you, and the greens are practically inscrutable! My only beef with this course is the road noise on the East course. You play up I-35 and 36th Street on a few holes, and it is quite distracting compared to a course like Hefner that is a good distance from the noisier streets. Actually I have a second beef - the course is very tight, the greens and tee boxes tend to be quite close to each other, and I felt like I was in danger of being hit by other golfers at times. They charge a few dollars more here per round than some of the other OKC public courses, but I find it is worth it for the fun design of the course and better maintenance. read more

Both Lincoln courses are classic old school layouts, short but with doglegs and challenging greens. Tee shot position is paramount. Keep your approach shots below the hole. They have a great practice area and range set up. The course is usually in top condition and the staff is sharp. Their club house has a nice banquet room for special events, too. read more

When at it's best Lincoln is fun to play whether you're on the East or West side. With public golf scarce in OKC be prepared to pay a little more than what these courses are probably worth playing for at all times of the year. This place overbooks and continuously sends out fivesomes on busy days because they just don't care about pace of play. More times than not it's a 5 hour round due to how backed up this course gets. If they can get another $55 out of someone they'll do it at your groups expense.. The golf isn't so much expensive as it is for a $15 cart fee.... Which is absolutely ridiculous considering the course is completely dormant by October. read more

A great event venue as well. We rented the upstairs Terrace Room of the new clubhouse for celebrating my mother-in-law's 100th birthday. They have a great rate for rental. Aaron, the event coordinator, was very helpful. The slides shows were perfect. The lighting was just right. The music was great thanks to the speakers that Aaron lent us. The tables were set up as we agreed. The sign by the stairs was lovely. The view of the golf course was great! Everything went so smooth. And the place, after decoration, was wonderful! We also worked with Abbey Road Catering and Amy cakes. They were also amazingly great! The event was a big success. Everybody had a great time. Such a special and unforgettable night! read more

Took 5 hours to play 18 holes today and never saw a course Marshall. They charge weekend rates but don't staff to keep the pace of play to an acceptable level. The snack bar personnel may be the slowest I've ever seen as well. I won't be back. read more

I was visiting my old hometown of OKC and had not played Lincoln Park in ages. Boy was I surprised. Course was very playable with pretty and challenging holes throughout. I am a member of a country club in Dallas where a pay a lot each month to play golf. Frankly, Lincoln Park was on par with my club just without all the worthless bell and whistles. read more

This is a great place to go if you don't want something super expensive but not something super cheap and terrible. I go here everyday and play about nine holes a day. I would definitely recommend going in the pro shop as well. They have a huge selection for a pro shop and they even have a great cafe. I would definitely go here if you like golf. read more

First time playing golf in Oklahoma. I was invited to play a round with future bro-in-law and his buddies. Couldn't pass up the offer, so here's what I have to say.... The course itself is decent- wide open fairways and very few water hazards. They're undergoing some construction and building a really impressive front entrance. We played the east course. I feel like the front 9 is easier. Back 9 is a bit more challenging with all the bunkers covering the pin. Golf carts = old school. There's nothing wrong with that, but sometimes I felt like our cart was going to suddenly die on us! Food cart = Nonexistent. Luckily I was armed with a gallon of water and some snacks! They do have water dispensers throughout the course. Greens = Maintained. Some holes were faster then others. Conclusion? Not the best course I've played at, but it's inexpensive. Think the bro paid 30 bucks which included the cart. I'd come back! read more

This is a truly well laid-out, well maintained pair of public courses that both offer serious challenges, even to the expert golfer. Always clean and has some very picturesque holes. Of course there will be holes that you hate....only because the hole beat you. Every hole has its own personality. Every green invites you to putt your best. Some look easy enough....all you have to do is make it easy....and, as we all know, golf is never easy. The course clubhouse is rebuilt during the next year, so facilities are limited; but the personnel are always friendly and helpful, even when you call in for a tee time. It will be very nice indeed when completed. Oklahoma City has a number of very nice public courses; but, in the past and now, Lincoln Park is a benchmark course. Keep your head down and follow through. read more
