While there, I went shopping & saw an AD for snow tires that were on sale in the store. I went back to ask about getting those & was told that those were the ones that were being installed. So they did not try to put on ones that weren't on sale which means they operate ethically. They then set a follow-up appointment for the following week. Normally, I shop in the grocery section or in the pharmacy & get excellent service when I need help. I will continue to use the auto section when I need to. People on the staff are usually all smiles when I greet them.

The store has taken over the entire space Rona used to be, making it incredibly large. With slight exaggeration, you could get 10k steps in just looking around. There are a wide variety of goods being offered, and the prices are often even cheaper than Dollarama (though some stuff is kinda overpriced in comparison, like $30 kitchen shelves?) so I guess they win some lose some. I found some really good deals for plates, kitchenware, hair accessories, stationary, and foam rollers. Since the place is so big, it's hard to find a worker, and even if you find someone, they likely will not know the answer. It's okay though... explore away!

My girlfriend is a very trustworthy person who doesn't like to step on any toes, so I was distraught to hear what happened to her at this walmart today. She was almost in tears after an employee accused her of stealing. He would not let my girlfriend prove she was innocent by showing the employee what was in her bag. My girlfirend reached to open her bag, but the employee refused to look inside and instead said that the recording he had of "her" was all he needed to prove she stole the item, which she did not do. He told my girlfriend that if she comes back to this walmart he will call the police. This is a huge inconvience to her, especially beacuse this seems completely random. I hope that one day this walmart will have better security and not have to treaten random people for absolutley no reason.

It's obviously the new model, and since it's opening, I've seen a few being transformed in the city. The last time I was here was during Christmas. I bought all my supplies for my party, and they had really good sales and exactly what I needed. I was mostly in the grocery section, and didn't need to explore the others. I also got some great Christmas crackers (Monopoly Deal) 6 for $5. Each one came with a key chain and a mini monopoly deal! Score. Walmart in general, has cheaper stuff, but in my opinion, some times it's similar to No Frills, or a Dollarstore (next door) could be even cheaper. Just keep an eye out for the flyer. The display for the solar lights was a little confusing and mislabeled so when we asked a clerk she just said - Nope that's all we have must be sold out, without looking. Being persistent we asked another clerk and found what we were looking for. We went to purchase a pair of shorts for 20% off, went through the cash and paid . Looked at the bill and noticed the price was $23+ as opposed to the label price and shelf price of $19+ pre-discount. When we pointed out the error the young lady tried to get us to believe that was their wholesale price on the label and couldn't/wouldn't adjust the bill. The shorts are now back on their shelf for the next person to get. Maybe the next person wanting them will get the proper price.

I have taken two stars away specifically because of the auto parts department, now I am not sure if it's because they don't have enough staff at the front there or they just simply don't hire people who actually know much about cars but they are quite reluctant to help you unless you seriously insist and have the patience to wait until they decide to help you. They never seem to have many things in stock and when they do, the parts are way over priced. Another reason that I wouldn't suggest the auto parts department is because it is almost impossible to reach them by phone and if you do, they don't help you. To be clear this is what happened today. I called the department for a specific item and the gentleman over the phone said " the system shows we have them but he has to do a physical check which he won't do because he has customers waiting in line at the store". So basically I am not a customer? Anyways for that reason I of course I will take my business somewhere where people are not too busy to let me know if they really do have the parts I need so that I don't waste my time going to the store to pick them up.

I then went to the Barrie Walmart where the selection was better and the prices were on average two dollars less for same items. Another time, I asked for an item and the person told me they were out of it and that they would order more. They took my phone no and said they would call me when the item was in stock. Never heard from them again, either way. Immediately after I was in that store (Innisfil location), I went to the Dollar Store across the way. The item was there and was two dollars. I got it there and will never ask CT again for same item. The best thing to do is go to another location with better reviews.
