This garden centre is in a covered outdoor space in the SmartCentres Stouffville mall, attached to Walmart Supercentre. You can enter from the parking lot or from inside Walmart. There are actually two parts, flowers/plants and soil. There are so many varieties of plants/flowers. Most come in their own pots. You can also buy bigger pots. There is another section (a separate entrance) where they sell soil and BBQs. There is free WiFi from Walmart. There place is wheelchair accessible. There are no washrooms. I'm maintaining my two-star rating. The store is not as great as it used to be. On a recent visit, we've encountered two employees yapping about personal stuff when they're supposed to be stocking products. Instead, they stop to chit-chat, and as a result, their product cart is blocking the aisle for customers to roam by with their shopping carts. We also encountered a very RUDE employee. We were inquiring about something that was sold out to determine if they had more stock elsewhere. Instead, the employee was upset that we bothered her and that it wasn't her department to look after and that we should ask someone else in that specific department. That is terrible customer service. I'm a purchaser and a sales rep myself at the office where I work. I respect all my customers and most of the time get praised for it. I prefer to shop at the Boxgrove location further south. They tend to have the items we're looking for most of the time. read more

This Walmart is just huge and spacious! On the few occasion when I came shopping here on a weekday, I felt I was the only one around! Never a line for cashing out and they do have the self served option. Compare to Markville's location when you have to first fight for parking then pushing your shopping cart through narrow aisles and waited forever to pay. I would just drive up here and avoid all the agony. read more

I really love this location. It's never really that busy, the layout is a bit different from other Walmart's that I'm used to, and it seems to have items that I can't normally find in my Markham locations. Case in point - they have an awesome international foods section! It has fun food items from all over, but most notably for me was the UK! I found Hobnobs, Galaxy bars, and more! Very pleasant surprise to be able to pick up these imports, and the prices were also decent. This location is a bit farther for me, but definitely worth the trip to pick up some special occasion treats. read more

Markham had a couple of Walmart stores. Often, specific items that I need are unavailable at these locations. For the past year or so, I have made the trip to Stouffville to Walmart. Some would say that I am crazy. What is in Whitchurch-Stouffville anyway? Two words. A ton! I prefer the Walmart here. Staff are always friendly and willing to help you would when you have questions or can't find anything because the place is huge. Recently, I had to get a 60W G16 light bulb. The lightbulb isn't as common as the ones we use around the house. This one is small and perfectly round. I visited both Walmart locations in Markham. I couldn't find the bulb. The light bulb section at the one in Box Grove was so untidy that I was rummaging through the large pile on the shelf. I finally had a chance to visit this Walmart. Not only did I find what I wanted, I got a four-pack of difficult-to-find bulbs in a nicely kept section of the store. Score! I'm a regular at this Walmart. I will continue to be for a while. read more

I went to this Walmart to purchase a video game. On the Walmart website it had the game listed for $69.98 but when I got to the store it was priced at $79.96. I thought no big deal because I'll just get a price adjustment. However, the man at the store said they do not price match....even though it was on Walmart's own website for $69.98!!! Usually prefer this Walmart compared to the one in Markville one. This Walmart is newer and has the fresh food market section. Fresh fruits, bakery, cheeses and etc.. pretty clean as well. All your major P&G line of products and many more fully available. Walmart's pharmacy handling fee is $9.29. An average price. More well priced than Shoppers Drug Mart at $11.99-$12.99. Price match policy in effect. Matches Food Basics, No Frills even though I'm not aware of those nearby Stouffville. I always thought price match had to be in the local area but I guess not..=D Lots of parking spaces available becuz it is situated in a very large plaza with Canadian Tire, Dollarama and etcc...don't have to fight for parking ever which is a huge plus!! All in all, my fav Walmart for most of my personal items. read more

They want me to cash myself out on their self check outs but they're not paying me to work there. Don't even ask about the washrooms. Jesus Christ, this store is gigantic. I normally visit the Box Grove Walmart Supercentre, but this Walmart Supercentre is at least twice the size (a super-duper-centre?), has twice the amount of merchandise available, and even has a Mr. Lube attached to it! Despite its size, when I went it was practically empty. Even the parking lot was relatively deserted. Maybe it's too big of a store for a town this size? Either way I'm not arguing if literally everything can be found here. I bought bananas here yesterday, and noticed they're of much better quality than the Box Grove store, as it's not already ripe (I like my bananas at least slightly green as I don't usually eat them immediately after purchase). They also had a large selection of dairy, and it was hard for me to decide which bag of milk I should buy since there were so many! Amazingly the Stouffville Wal-Mart was only a 12 minute drive from my house (I live at 16th Ave and 9th Line in Markham). read more

What can I say? It's Walmart. Don't expect the greatest quality merchandise, but do expect decent price and selection. I don't buy clothes or electronics here, but I do buy groceries, toiletries, seasonal items, the occasional knick-knack, office supply, or greeting card. Nice and roomy - the town is only 40,000 people and it's a Supercentre - I heard that this was actually an early training centre for other Supercentres in the GTA. This trip - pretty uneventful, except one of my items rang it at higher than the sticker on the shelf. So I grabbed the sticker and went to customer service and got that item for free (Walmart honors the voluntary register accuracy rules in Canada, so any item under $10 that has a discrepancy you get for free). read more

Love the grocery section of this store, great produce and prices. Lots of parking and great store hours! Never ever enough cashiers on!!! Tons of registers but just no one ever using them. Have had great help in the housewares and electronics section though :D Did have a very unfortunate experience with a fitting room attendant. She congratulated me on being pregnant (which I was most certainly not). Then when I informed her that I was not she went on to make some really unpleasant comments about my weight. No matter anyone's body type, no one should ever feel bullied or picked on in any situation. Certainly left a bad taste in my mouth and I have not shopped for clothing there since. read more

its a good and organized store. large selection of produce, fresh bakery, foods, deli etc. BUT its always out of baby products that my family needs (needs more restocking) and they took away the self check out, which now slows everything down. I was going to Walmart to buy some things and as I walk in I smell the fresh air and feel like Im in a nice breeze.Then as I walk over to pickup some groceries I am astonished by the completely stacked shelves.They had everything.Then I walked over to the toy toy section to look around and maybe get something for the family,when I got there the shelves were all neatly tidy and shelves were so stacked with toys and games I could barely choose one.I walk down to the cash register and I am immediately greeted by an amazing completely sweet cashier. She packed my stuff so quick as soon as I turned around she was ready for me to pay.I payed and grabbed my bags and walked away as she said come again and waved to me.I sure know I'm going to go again very soon. Walmart is my go-to store! But.... But the service of their employees at Walmart Photo Supercentre is extremely poor. They should know that customer is the king! They took pics of my babyboy and the photo specifications were twice wrong. I had to go back and request them to change it which the lady didn't like. No greeting, no apology for the mishap, nothing! And guess what, no refund either! I hope the CEO of Walmart Canada sees this. It's all about the service at the end of the day that makes customers like me come back! The Indian cashier manager is so rude. She was yelling at me in front of one of the cashiers when I was ringing out and was yelling at the cashier saying he was telling me false things when he didn't. Very unprofessional and I won't be returning to that Walmart as it seems the older women working there are so miserable and rude! Ugh. read more

Terrible service - no staff. wasted two days trying to buy one thing and it was hopeless.

I have been coming to this Walmart for 5 years now, and overtime I noticed their service became progressively worse. The first 4 years I did not have much of an issue, perhaps because I was so busy with school I never got any time to come to Walmart. Now that I'm free, I've come to Walmart to pick things up about 3 times now, and every time have left feeling annoyed with the customer service. For whatever reason every time I go, the ladies at the cashier are rude. To point out one incident: I went into the express lane not realizing it was the express lane. Immediately this Indian woman told me it was the express lane. I apologized and gathered my items to go to the next lane. She said not to go and it was fine, she then repeated herself again saying "no what I was meaning is that this is 6 time item only." (Read with Hindi accent to feel as if you were there). I then apologized again and said yes I'm sorry I did not realize that thinking she didn't hear me the next time. As she checked my items she felt the need to repeat herself again just rephrasing the sentence. I said ok. She then repeated herself one last time, I didn't reply. After that she turns to one of her co-workers and says the following in Hindi thinking I don't understand her: "look at this girl who the hell does she think she is coming into the express lane like her father owns the place with 6 items I told her and she doesn't listen." Her coworker simply smirked without saying anything. I almost said something to her but wanted to be a good person and so I kept my mouth shut. I wish I knew her name, she needs to be fired. After that I went to McDonalds to get a McFlurry, the lady greeted the man in front of me with a big smile and flirted with him. When she saw me her face was blank and she didn't say anything. I felt some racism lingering there. Bottom line: these rude, low class Indian women need to be fired. I will note their names next time. read more

Terrible service to be sure. I called and wanted to speak to pharmacy. I listened to the recording through twice, thinking I had missed the extension. I hadn't. It was not there. I called back and spoke with an operator who transferred my call. The line rang 27 times before pharmacy picked up. When I did get through I discovered the meds I had requested for my father were not ready, even though I had been in and requested them as soon as possible, three days earlier. Then there was an incident of a terrible attitude from a woman from bakery. I had been waiting to go through the multi fast service counters and was at the front of the line about to go to the counter. She came and parked a large rack of reduced bakery goods in front of my cart blocking my access. When I asked if she would mind moving it she started to argue with me and refused. The clerk joined my cause and told her she couldn't leave it there blocking customers, she argued with her too and walked away and left it there. I complained at customer service and left my number but heard nothing regarding their follow up action to this bold rudeness to me and to the clerk. This ignorant behaviour created quite a scene for all the customers in line to witness. I only shop at Walmart now when I absolutely have to. Is courtesy too much to expect in a place where you are spending your hard earned dollars????? If there was a ZERO rating, that is what I would give it. I just called and my prescriptions are still not ready and it has now been 9 days! read more
