Great hotel! The…read morestaff is amazing. So friendly. We arrived very late and they offered to keep the breakfast open an extra hour so we could sleep a bit longer and make it to breakfast. The room was very nice. Exceptionally clean in all areas especially the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was hot and delicious. The area was very clean and the staff was very attentive and completely on top of the demands of a busy crowd. I would stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel.

Assuming it was people just getting in from being out for supper or something we ignored it and went back to sleep. At 1:30 we were again woken up by what sounded like noises from a pool but that didn't make any sense as typical hotels have strict rules and regulations for quiet hours....not here! When I called the front desk to see what was going on he said that some guests had permission from the person who was working on the shift prior to his that they could go in the pool and he would shut the door...ok. A short time later we are woken up again (I don't even know if I fell asleep) by the same guests Intoxicated in the pool. The front desk agent told me that the permission was given to them to have the pool, apparently for however long they wanted I guess and at the cost of waking other guests. This song and dance went on until 4:30 with threats to call the RCMP and frankly I wish I had of but was trying to give the kid a chance to save his job. We complained so many times and being someone from the helping profession I tried to help. At one point the agent asked if I would go ask the other guests to get out of the pool and from then on I felt like this was a losing battle and I would not be sleeping. You probably shouldn't be left alone if you are incapable of handling guests and asking other PAYING guests to take care of situations. At one point we were again disturbed as this group of 4 people decided to eat after they were done in the pool at 5am...you get hungry after swimming right? And again there was nothing he could do about it because he had to make breakfast for the next morning. In the end it could have been a very bad situation if myself and my husband were we not reasonable people. We were face to face with these guests That were intoxicated by who knows what and could have been very dangerous. I felt like I worked a night shift...no joke! We have stayed at many hotels and most of them Best Westerns and hold Diamond member status (and apparently that means nothing at this hotel). In the past year we have been across Canada 6 times and this was by far the most hideous excuse for customer service I have ever experienced. At 4:30 in the morning the attendant said he would comp our room but when you are traveling across the country usually you have a timeline and a itinerary to follow. This was our first night and let's just say it set the pace for a very tired day the next day and we had to get additional hotels so we could actually sleep and keep everyone safe on the roads. Once getting home I emailed the hotel manager and she said on our way back through she would like to try to make things right and ensure we had a pleasant stay at their hotel...being the people we are and trying to give them a second chance we called on our way back and she said she would give us a discounted rate of $109 plus a $20 dollar pet fee for our 10lb non shedding dog. The pet fee I understand but to book on Expedia it was $119 so a discount of 10% is not my idea of making things right but proved yet again what we already learned the first time we attempted to sleep at this hotel. I have worked in customer service for many years and this whole ordeal was a nightmare. Do yourself a favour and keep driving!

This was a great little hotel in a small town that really needed one…read more In town for a family event and there were just way too many of us to fit at my grandma's so my immediate family decided to stay here. The rooms were huge and they all had kitchenettes which was awesome. We didn't use them much but since the main transient clientele in this area appears to be riggers, having kitchenettes is probably a big selling point. There was a large workout room and a really good free breakfast every morning. The parking lot wasn't huge but the hotel itself isn't massive so that's probably ok, plus it borders some empty lots which could probably be utilized in case of an emergency. Carlyle is a great little town that seems to be growing every day, businesses like this are really needed to keep jobs in the community and to keep people around. I'm so pleased that this is here and the next time we can't all fit at my grandma's we'll definitely be checking back in here.

I'm not sure if this room is an upgrade - it's the "two queens with kitchenette." Everything looks new and shiny. Beautiful room. Friendly front desk. The location is right in the center of things. Carlyle is a small town, so everything is just a short walk or drive from your hotel.

It tastes salty... That is the best way I can describe it. The worst way is that it made my tea taste like leftover instant noodle soup. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although I did have some issues with the thermostat at first. My only complaint is that one day the cleaning person threw my pajamas onto my suitcase, which was sitting on the floor in order to make the bed. I am extremely anal about the bed cleanliness. If I had other pajamas to wear I would have forsaken those ones because they were clearly compromised by coming into contact with the floor/my suitcase.

Double review lady's and gents…read more 1. A few weeks ago I went to the central for breakfast and found a hair in my hash browns. I was hungry so I tried to eat the eggs anyway, bam another hair in my damn eggs so I lost my appetite and didn't have to pay for the food, shit happens so I let it slide. 2. So last night I go in there for supper and ordered the baked chicken Parmesan, expecting a backed chicken breast like it says on the menu. So I get my food and there isn't a piece of chicken on the plate bigger than a toe nail clipping. But being as I'm a trooper I tried to power through and eat this pile of linguini, pulverized chicken and bargain brand mozzarella. I ate about a quarter of it and gave up. So the waitress takes the plate away and goes in the back to tell the chef. Then she comes back out and tells me the chef said I still have to pay for it because it has everything the menu said it does. Well the menu didn't mention the chicken breast has been run through a blender. So I wind up paying for it cause I had about 10 drinks and I'm not the kinda guy that walks on a bar tab. In conclusion the kitchen staff are terrible the waitresses are good and the drinks are reasonably priced. Not a bad place for a beer but avoid the food. Oh yeah and the soup sucked.
