I had a radiation oncologist, Dr. Zamdborg, and a chemo oncologist, Dr. Coker. Dr Coker is my favorite! While the two sides don't talk to each other and their systems inside the same building don't talk to each other, I've had nothing but good experiences there. The staff is very caring, they have a lot of volunteers that are equally as caring and checking in on you, and they make it about as good as it can be for what you're going through. They also do a great job at decorating themes and trying to make the place fun and energetic. I know there are other oncology facilities out there, but I highly recommend South Carolina Oncology Associates. They made the suck not so bad.

Everyone was exceedingly kind from check in, to the appointment itself, to check out. She also had to get blood work. My mom is painfully difficult to get blood from and for the first time in years, I saw her only get stuck once. They were patient and super sweet. When leaving, two young men helped me load mom back in the car and even loaded her wheelchair for me. This place was incredibly busy, but I didn't see one less than stellar interaction. I see other reviews had negative things to say about specific doctors and I can't speak to that, but our experience was amazing.

He's an extremely knowledgeable rheumatologist and is very personable. He was a surgeon in the Army and has his own battle with medical issues. Yet, he comes into work with a smile and truly cares about his patients. Dr Wolff will sit and actually listen to hear what you have to say without making you feel rushed. 10 out of 10 would recommend. Elizabeth Keen is the nutritionalist at the clinic, and she is great as well. She's very sweet, knows what she's talking about, and wants to help in any way she can. She works out of the downtown office and the wheeler office as well. I've been very pleased with my care here and can not say enough good things.

I've listened to scheduling people say they don't answer the phone when the clinic opens at 0830, they don't answer their phone until close to 0900-0930. The same individuals also openly admitted to no longer answering phones close to closing time =30-45 minutes prior to closing. This seems to be the pervasive attitude at this facility- I had a nurse "resolve " numerous patient message requests without ever speaking to me personally. When I threatened to speak to a patient advocate suddenly she was able to call me personally and communicate with me about my concerns. Which very easily could have been communicated in the patient portal. I saved the best for last: then you have the oncologist who is supposed to be the one that cares the most, right? Far from it. This oncologist is happy to let you wait for an unknown amount of time to have a surgeon or anyone but her reorder scans to check the status of said cancer even though she is medically managing said cancer. She doesn't care that I have no surgeon assigned to order said scans and no surgeon in the foreseeable future as my surgeon retired. She is happy to inflict unnecessary mental anguish, stress and anxiety on a cancer patient who has been anxiously awaiting the 6 month scans to determine the status of cancer. Her excuse is the surgeon knows the strength of the MRI and imaging machines he wants. BS my primary care has ordered almost every set of scans up to this point. So why won't my primary order these follow-up scans? Oh, because he referred me to the medical oncologist (the one listed above who refuses to order them and has been asked numerous times) to manage it. Who is being lazy and passing the buck onto another specialist. Well maybe medical oncologists don't order scans only surgeons do? Nope- there are multiple well known practices in Augusta that the Medical Oncologist orders the follow-up scans. Actually recently met with my new Medical Oncologists office and guess what one of the many things they will be ordering for me: follow-up scans to determine the status of cancer they will be medically managing. Refer to above comment before about the medical oncologist at this practice = she is being lazy and passing the buck. Honestly, there needs to be a special place in hell for individuals such as MDs or others that are given this "authority" and masquerading around in caring professions doing the exact opposite of that = not caring! This isn't a practice that genuinely cares about humanity and individual lives!!! I'm sorry I wasted so much of my time here. I am seeking care elsewhere with providers that might actually care about their patients not just about the profit that comes from our being unwell!!! You couldn't pay me to bring my worst enemy to this organization!! In short if you hope to be cared for by the individuals at this facility, especially specific medical oncologists - RUN don't walk from this place. They only care about the revenue that your sickness brings to their practice. But hey your revenue ensures said medical oncologist gets to drive a pretty sweet ride that she parks very close to the handicap parking in patient parking spots. So if you struggle to walk you may have to park farther away because the medical oncologist took the one closest to the door when she arrived before the clinic opened....

He showed Dr. Long and he was just as baffled. We get a phone call a few days later from Dr. Long's office. He had reached out to a dermatologist friend and he relayed what he was told. The doctor she saw LAUGHED at her because she was too old to be accepted to a trial that had opened up. He literally told her, The meds your taking just don't work and that was your last hail-Mary so I don't know what to tell you. NO EMPATHY, NO COMPASSION. I called the office manager to express concern and she has not called me back, and it's been a week now! There were several other things the doctor said that were equally as horrible but I am putting all of that into a letter being sent to the Medical Board! COMPASSION AND EMPATHY SHOULD NOT BE OPTIONAL IN ONCOLOGY!!! An oncologist shouldn't tell a 56 year-year old to go home and die because there's no other option! CRUEL AND HORRIBLE!! I'm sure his entire staff would be mortified if they knew he also came into the room complaining about them to us (which is how he started the conversation...not with hello...complaining about the staff and their incompetence!) I'm very aware of the laws, but they don't give you even ONE week of pain meds after a surgery here! That's pretty rotten. And then to straight up IGNORE my pleas for help? Only after i wrote a not great review did we suddenly get a call back. And guess what? We were told now it's "too late" to call in any more meds to help. It's only "too late" because you intentionally ignored us for an entire week!! What a joke. Heartless and rotten.

GRU has created a strong service for anyone with Heart Rhythm issues (afib, pacemakers, ICD's). Also great care for vein issues, CABG, and general cardiac care.

I had a green light procedure and was sent home without a catheter, bleed extensively after I…read moreurinated, had to be admitted to hospital had a catheter for two weeks, after the catheter was removed my urethra started too close. Edmonds used a spike type tool to open urethra, extremely painful and not totally successful. I was told that the beauty of the Green light procedure was no bleeding. Not true either Edmonds. 10 years later another Dr preformed the same procedure, he repaired damage from first Green light, went home with a catheter for only 2 days have been great ever since.
