I was called by "Leah" who questioned orders and said she would call back tomorrow to make a nurse appointment for assessment and start of care. Silence for days as there was more discussion with doctor then calling me for same. They seemed to want orders changed and we spoke regarding my current company that could not staff. This all went back and forth until they pestered the company enough to secure discharge but not admitting whether they could staff. Once discharge was done by former company Leah admitted that neither the Los Angeles office nor the San Diego office could staff. For a company that covers this span of distance there was no excuse for this nearly month-long back and forth when they had no intention to staff as they had originally committed. This resulted in ridiculous waste of time for the doctor's employee and mine, missing out on service and continuing to decline. I had fully explained why the orders appeared the way they did and that nursing could be reduced. I believe that this constant dance was in order for me to be fully discharged by current agency, which succeeded, so that I would be desperate for at least some service, with no certainty of receiving necessary help. This didn't work. I was never seen for assessment or given a reason. This was a giant waste of time for me and doctor's staff and was inexcusable. This is a racket that fishes for assignment and accepts because they want to continue to receive doctor referrals for easy, brief patient care that can be denied and discharged soon. It gave them a bad look and I hope that future potential doctor assignments and patient acceptance of "care" be withheld due to unserious and manipulative , unfair delaying tactics to require orders to be reduced despite patient "qualification" and supported need. This is unethical and brutally shows no concern for patients in order to effect forced revision of care needs. Very sloppy, unprofessional tactics. I wasn't able to speak to Admin, Case Manager, or even a nurse to discuss and assess my needs and conditions. Be warned. THIS is their business, not appropriate patient care, but angling for less. Do not accept.

Hospice by the Sea in Solana Beach is too beyond incredible for words…read more Everyone of their staff and associates were a total pleasure to work with. They were kind, attentive, generous of heart and spirit especially during those tough and trying times. They were there every time I called and helped my Dad.......When I walked into my parents home last week, I noticed that my Dad was struggling to breathe and thank goodness the oxygen machine provided by Hospice was there so that I could give him some assistance and make his breathing less labored. I called Hospice and shared with them what was going on and in a timely manner they sent their Angel Julie. As soon as she arrived, she realized what was happening and asked my Mom to come in and say a few words to my Dad and within seconds of them saying goodbye, my Dad took his last breath and died peacefully knowing how loved he was...... I would recommend Hospice by the Sea anytime to anyone......your team is amazingly and a beautiful, sensitive team of professionals. THANK YOU for all you all do.....

She came immediately when we said that we were "shopping" for a care agency to help us with my mother with dementia. Since that very day we met, we continued to receive help, sometimes on a daily basis for almost a year. Mother has since gone into a facility which we feel will handle Mother's needs, but if i do need additional assistance, I will call Home Care of La Jolla. The person who helped us is since gone, but I am sure that the company will hire equally competent personnel.

Not only was Home Care of La Jolla incredibly friendly, understanding and thorough, they were extremely efficient in getting someone out to my mom's house within 2.5 hours. This was amazing to have service so quickly. We now have a home visit scheduled from a CNA for the next 4 days. Their prices are very reasonable and they are responsive. The first CNA, Mary, arrived on time and was patient and helpful. I highly recommend Home Care of La Jolla for home health care and would definitely use them again in the future for care. This company and its employees really impressed me.

She woke me up to give me my meds, she made sure I was comfortable, and she entertained me when I blabbed about my dog. Of course I loved that! She arranged everything as far as the hotel goes which saved me a worry as I had a lot of anxiety before my procedure. This is ridiculous to say as I am an adult but if there was such a thing as a nanny for an adult, I would pick her. The level of care I received is beyond compare. Oh my goodness, I was totally wrong! My caretaker, Mae, picked me up, laid right next to me all night, took my vitals consistently, woke me up for my meds, jumped up every time I made a noise or slight moan, and got me to my appointment the next morning. I didn't have to worry or think about ANYTHING. I COULD NOT have gotten through that first night without her ( even though my husband was in the next room). I am so grateful that my surgeon had this requirement, and that Kindred Care was there for me! I can't say enough about Mae and this company.

But you fixed the immediate problems, relieved a great deal of pain, and we know more now about EDS. I will always be so grateful for your help!
