This hotel turned out to be a nice choice. The hotel is 10+ years old but seemed clean. Our room on the top floor was quiet. No breakfast was included because it's an extended stay property though the room has a range with pots and pans. We used it to heat up hot water for tea. There was a list of amenities in the room which included free laundry. Ruby Tuesday was nearby. We were traveling with our dog and the stay was reasonably priced. Staff was friendly. read more

We stayed here for about 10 days. Great service has a kitchen area with two electric burners, pots, pans, utensils. Had toaster, full size fridge, and 4 sets of glasses, plates, and coffee cups. We stayed in 3rd floor room 305 which is a quiet zone 7am-10pm. They also have a full cabinet of additional items you can borrow items, like wine glasses, crockpot, and additional items to use for cooking. Once you are done using the borrowed item you bring back the item to the front desk. Additionally they have a full room of items for purchase either directly to your room, or pay at front desk. These items consist of food, ready to eat meals, burritos, sandwiches, can food and other dry goods and snacks. Which I absolutely loved! It was very convenient to just buy a small meal than drive out. Of course price is a little more than what you would purchase it at local Walmart but the convenience of obtaining it right then and there was great alternative. Lastly, yes they have a gym, which is connected to the laundry room only separating is an adjacent wall. They have free washers and dryers. 3 washers and 4 dryers available. Cons; no swimming pool but kitchen, and food items definitely makes up for it. We enjoyed our stay, and when we checked out and forgot a bag of puzzles and miscellaneous items they called us immediately. We've stayed here twice a year for the past 8 years, it's almost the exact halfway point on our trip home from northern Indiana to Fort Worth, Texas. When I travel with the family, I like to stay in a larger suite with the kitchen, so I generally target IHG or Marriott extended-stay-style hotels like Residence Inns, Candlewood Suites, Towne Place Suites, or Staybridge, and this Candlewood fits the bill in this part of the country for us. It's a Candlewood, so it's pretty basic and you don't get a breakfast, but for what it is, it's a fantastic property. The bed is extremely comfortable, the sheets are soft and the covers are heavy. My son even likes to sleep on the pull-out sofa bed. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, you get lots of towels, the kitchens are well stocked with silverware and plates and glasses. The rooms could use perhaps a coat of paint, but it doesn't detract from the quality of the stay. The air conditioning works well and gets nice and cold, although it could smell a little better, but it isn't awful. If you get a one-bedroom suite, there is a wall fan that distributes the air into the bedroom from the living area, and it works well. You're within walking distance of a Cracker Barrel and a Route 66-themed diner as well, and there's a Wal-Mart nearby. read more

First time here the front desk Erik is very friendly and helpful. But as for our four rooms we got for two days not so good room 227 had a dirty pad in the garbage. And room 210 smells bad like animals and the ac control is broke. We are not ones to complain but this is unacceptable. read more

Walked into the room and it smelled like bleach...Layed down on the bed and couldnt even sleep the bleach was so strong from the sheets and pillows. Do you know how toxic it is breathing bleach?? Stayed here on 2016/04/06 and really had an outstanding experience. This hotel is very military and pet friendly. We were PCSing from the Fort, so we had our 2 cats and 2 dogs with us. They were so accommodating. They have a $25 non-refundable pet fee which was well worth it! Please note this may be a nightly fee, I'm not sure, we only stayed one night. We would have stayed regardless if we had needed to stay more than one night. This is an extended-stay hotel, so they had an amazing full kitchen, with dishes, and appliances, including full-sized fridge, microwave, and dish washer. Downstairs they had washers and dryers to use for free, which was awesome, since TMO had picked up our washer and dryer a couple days previous and we needed to do laundry. The rooms have Direct TV, and downstairs they have a DVD library to borrow from for free. They also have have what I can only describe as almost like an extended snack-bar with purchasable items, but they also stock three glass display fridges with reheatable microwave meals, ice cream, and a large variety of cold drinks including milk. The prices are extremely reasonable. They also keep tea, coffee, and fruit there which is free. We had a 2-bed, pet-friendly room. It was immaculate! We couldn't tell that other animals had stayed there. I really appreciated that this hotel was also smoke-free. If you are a smoker, however, there are places outside where they provide ashtrays. There is a pet-walking area on the side of the hotel, where they provide you doggy bags to pick up after your furry-friends! I had the chance to interact with day, evening, and even overnight check-in staff while staying. I've never met a nicer group of hotel staff anywhere! They really were a pleasure to interact with, and made our stay so pleasant, especially when moving is such a nightmare. Lastly, we left something in our hotel. I called them and they found it and held on to it for me to go back and pick it up. Really just a great place to stay. I don't know that we'll be back to FLW, but if we ever have to pass through, I know where we'll be resting our heads again! read more

Best hotel I've ever stayed atーand the next best isn't even close. I've been to other high-end lodging locales with all the other unnecessary bells and whistles but they don't come close to the cleanliness found here and the overall homey feeling here. First let me admit that I'm guilty of typically not bothering with reviews. They take too long, I'm always pressed for time and if anything I'll only make time if something happened at an establishment that made my wrath rage. This is not the case. I intentionally skipped Red inn over a bed bug incident that my ex encountered. So I'm quite leary of hotels and would much rather avoid them if possible especially in view of the pandemic. I'm so glad I stopped here though and strongly recommend it over others lodging options. On my way south for the holiday season I stayed at the inn whose name matches the season I mentioned and while nothing stood out as foul this was cheaper by a few dollars and far more superior. Great extended stay hotel! Close to the post, Walmart, dozens of restaurants and I-44. Very pet friendly No breakfast, but they do have free coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruits as well as some food items for purchase. The staff has all been so helpful and friendly. This is one of the better hotels I've been to in awhile. I worked for the headquarters of several high end chains, and we've struggled with foreigners buying hotels to get immigration papers...but they are either incompetent at managing a hotel and/or at owning and keeping up with upkeep. Many of the chains have had to strip franchises from these new owners due to lack of maintenance and upkeep in the facilities. I'm happy to report...This is not one of the many hotels around the country that isn't being kept up to the standards most of us are used to. They are maintaining this hotel very well. Walmart is around the block if you need food items...very close but not close enough to make this a sketchy area. read more

This establishment is very pet friendly! The property is impressive right from the start. The front desk staff were top notch and extremely friendly. The rooms are spacious, very clean and nicely stocked. Had toaster, all of the necessary utensils for crafting a meal along with a nice sitting area to have a meal or family time. The bed was extremely comfortable! I personally was very impressed with the value and appeal of the property! We had absolutely no issues while staying here. Will definitely stay here again if we ever need to return for anything else and will absolutely recommend this property to anyone we know of that are coming to the area. read more

We stayed at this hotel for thirteen days while I was doing some training at Fort Leonard Wood. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and the accommodations - but mostly by the warm and friendly service of all of the staff. They were especially nice to my toddler daughter and were always quick to assist my wife with things for the room during the day while I was gone. The DVD collection for the guests was a nice touch, as well as being walking distance to Cracker Barrel and Ruby Tuesdays. The drive to post is easy and the staff was friendly to the military guests. Stayed here for our daughter's graduation from BCT. We booked the 1 bedroom suite via IHG, 2 months in advance. Well, when we got there, they didn't have our reservation for the suite. They had us in a regular room with one bed. We had 5 people. That was not going to work. But, the hotel was 100% booked and there were no suites available that night. So, one bed room it was! They managed to find two roll seats for us and comped the room for us that night. The front desk contacted us shortly thereafter and told us we'd have a suite for our next two nights. Although the first night was close quarters (and a bit uncomfortable) the front lobby staff and the General Mgr more than made up for it with their hospitality and efforts to make things right! Very pet friendly place to stay. This is my 2nd time staying here and the 2nd time has been even better than the first time around. Difference may be that I am on the 2nd floor this time with double beds. Very friendly staff and just a pleasant place to come back to with it's full kitchen, full closet, free laundry room, nice work out center and being pet friendly. I stayed here for two months in 2015 and 3 months in 2016. I definitely would not stay anywhere else in St Robert. Super friendly staff, very pet friendly also. It is nice that the washer and dryers are free too. Nice outside grill area to hang out at in the evenings too. It's within walking distance of many restaurants around there also. read more
