Every session, Kristi makes it clear that we agree to respect each others boundaries and encourages communication to make sure that my needs are met during our session. From there, she asks what kind of cuddling positions or exercises I'd like to do. It took communication and several sessions to find out what works well for me. She even has a book full of cuddle positions if I'm not sure or want to try something new. I prefer to start with a deep breathing exercise. Then I usually go for the "head on chest" cuddle position or spooning. Lately, I've also asked Kristi to lay over top of me face down. That position really helps to relieve tension. While we are cuddling, I am free to tell Kristi whatever is on my mind. She is nonjudgmental and makes me feel welcome and safe to let out my inner ramblings. Kristi can talk your ear off too, but ask her be more of a listener and she will respect your wishes.
