I had a reading many months ago when I arrived in a new town. I hate to say it but it was a waste of time and money. She would ask me what was happening in my work, when I answered she would proceed by giving me a lecture why it was good or why people needed what I was offering. When I would challenge her saying what she was saying I knew already or didn't need that type of advice (I already had a job coach), she would be defensive and would say that I was not open minded. Sister Temperance was recommended to me by a good friend who had gotten a reading with her a few years back, so I figured why not? So I contacted ST for a reading in 2018. There was a lot of gold in that reading, but one thing in particular stands out, which is why I'm writing this review 2 years later: I was going through some major growing in my personal life at the time. Sister Temperance Tarot is the coolest. Went in a little dubious about getting a reading by phone, but there's something really relaxing about being able to just sit invisibly in your own space and listen to the reading unfold. I was expecting more of a traditional "turn over card, tell me what card indicates" type of reading. Instead, Angeliska began by turning over all the cards, and then just spoke to me about my life. My sense is that she has befriended these cards so deeply that they're like familiar milestones on a map for her; she uses them instinctively, as guides to tell a story. We played a really stupid game with fake money where we had to guess which bill was the larger one from closed palms. We did some fake-it-till-you-make-it psychic readings of one another, PUH-LEASE. If he billed his seminar correctly it would have read: HOW TO THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY in one easy session. The one thing that piqued my interest was her card reading. It's been a long time since I've left a review for Sister Temperance but I have come to depend on her guidance year after year. I encourage my friends to see her the way I would encourage them to see a good therapist (and I often encourage both). I have had lots of people read for me throughout the years but no one is ever as good as this Angel! I also now depend on watching her live Instagram feeds for her new/full moon readings...They are always relevant, accessible since I can watch them any time that day (in my pajamas), and free so they are like bonus readings between my regular personal appointments. The Instagram readings are also reassuring like "oh everyone going through this bs right now and I'm not being especially crazy" - so her individual session is like a more regular, personal therapy appointment and Instagram is more like a group therapy meeting. I get different things from them both. Back to personal sessions, since I've been seeing her for years I am blown away by how many notes she has on me and she will reference them regularly to remind me of stuff that I'd forgotten ("You're repeating history here" or "look at your growth regarding this issue!"). When I first started seeing her I thought "Wow she's really good" and now I need to consult her before I make any big decisions or when I'm feeling like I'm running on empty and I'm not sure where to start the self care. Her guidance is always good at acknowledging (not dismissing) my pain while still giving me a shining, positive outlook. I got a reading from Angel when I was in a pretty dark place, looking for some clarity. So I'll start by saying that I use an alias on yelp because I value my privacy. I did not use an alias when I visited Angeliska, but for the sake of putting my review in perspective, I visited Sister Temperance Tarot within the last three months, and I sat on my thoughts for a long time before finally deciding to post my review here. What's important - everyone who has a positive experience also provided an honest review. My experience differs from others in what I was able to take away from it, but overall, I don't have anything negative to say about Angeliska/Sister Temperance. My time with Angeliska started with a cleansing. As someone intimately familiar with energy work, I appreciated that Angeliska wanted to ensure any residual negative energy was cleared before I entered her space, but I would have preferred she started this process 5 minutes before my time with her began. Once inside, it became clear that her work is very much a way of life for her. She has numerous tools at her disposal, but I think she defaults to a tarot reading and after our session, I very much understood why. It is clear that she has a talent for reading both cards and people. She is highly intuitive, and perhaps even clairsentient. I do not think she is clairvoyant though (i.e., she is not able to predict the future), but I don't think pretends to be. For my reading, Angeliska asked what had brought me there. I shared what I was working on and asked for some guidance about whether or not the work I was doing was taking me where I needed to go. For the purposes of not skewing her reading (and trying to determine if she was indeed gifted as others had suggested she was), I kept a lot of the details private. The cards she drew painted a very accurate picture of what I had been doing for the last year, and to some extent, what led me there. Her interpretation of the cards as they related to my journey was about 60% accurate, and I shared some of the experiences that led me to seek her out... which led into the speculative 40% of my reading that didn't resonate with me at all. This portion of my reading - the 40% that didn't resonate - nagged at me for a long time, so I spent a while trying to understand why I felt the way I did. I didn't feel taken advantage of, per se, but I think she related to my journey perhaps a little too much and projected some of her own life lessons onto my path that did not align with me at all. This isn't to say she wasn't gifted - she is a talented tarot reader - but just that the part I most wanted to hear, where my work was headed, if I was on the other side of it or if I was going to be stuck in the trenches for a while longer, didn't hit the mark. I didn't walk away with the clarity others shared that they had, but perhaps that's because I had already spent so long working on this part of my journey that it was almost impossible for someone who didn't know every facet of it to provide significant guidance for what would be on the other side. And, as I mentioned, I don't think Angeliska can predict the future. If anything, perhaps the onus is on me to have done better research, or to have asked more direct questions before I booked my appointment so I understood the limitations of the reading. I've given three stars partially because my experience missed the mark, but also because some of the things she did during my session weren't for me. I don't want to get into details, but it felt inappropriate to use any of the paid time ($110 + a tip for ~50 minutes) for her own personal musings. We connected in a genuine way and I felt like I was talking to a friend, but I still paid full price for a service, so I was stuck between feelings that were difficult to reconcile. On one hand, I didn't feel like it was appropriate to ask for a refund because she still performed a service and I'm a firm believer that you pay people for what they do for you, but on the other, I couldn't help but feel like this was an inappropriate way to spend any real time on. So to meet halfway, I felt compelled to leave an honest review, as many of the negative reviews here attack Angeliska/her talents, etc, which I also don't think is entirely appropriate. Tl;dr: it's important to know what you're going to someone for, but it's even more important to know that the tools that are in their wheelhouse are relevant to the answers you are seeking. read more

I've had other psychic readings and none of them have compared to Angeliska's reading. I saw her on my 31st birthday and was a bit hesitant to tell her it was my birthday. I was blown away by the reading. She didn't offer me corny predictions. It was more of an hour therapy session about exploring things in my life that I have been suppressing. For a complete stranger to evoke all of that in me was very powerful. I have recommended her to friends even after that first reading. So I'm not one to utilize Yelp often but I wanted to comment on how amazing this experience was. I've been read my tarot cards by many astrologers. In fact there is one in West Palm Beach I'd highly recommend if you're ever in that area (message me for more details), but the experience you will get with Angeliska is totally different. Most of my tarot card readings have discussed where I'm at and what's coming in my path. While this is always interesting and fun to know, I find it also tends to make me look for certain signs, or make certain decisions I may not have otherwise. Never have I dove into my past and acknowledged the reasons why I had this particular path laid out before me. Angeliska's reading did just this. She views the cards your energy draws as an outlet to dig further into why you act the way you do and how you got there, as well as what is coming. She also helps to draw out of you what you need to change to get to where you want to be. For me, there was a catalyst in my past that I didn't even realize affected my present and my future. A particular person kept coming up in my cards and it took some cauxing from Angeliska for me to realize traumas in the past that I chalked up as life happenings, in fact shaped everything about who I am today. She does a great job of relating her experiences to you, and while it may seem like she's just telling you a story, the metaphor and lesson behind it is extremely powerful and isn't just a rambling self righteous talking. Please know, if your looking to determine what your future holds, or when you'll meet the love of your life, this isn't for you. Don't waste your money and her time. If, however, your willing to look in a mirror, reflect, work hard and change for the better...this could be the best first step you've ever taken! I know it has most definitely altered my frame of mind and already has me viewing ALL MY relationships differently. Best of luck to everyone on their journey's! Don't be fooled by the good reviews. "Angeliska" is neither a good person, nor an honest business owner. As far as her abilities to interpret tarot cards go, let's just say you have to be very naive to believe she can actually give you any relevant information. I'm Eastern European and I grew up around Slavic paganism and witchcraft. I am not going to go into much detail about my family, let's just say, I have been exposed to anything you can think of from card and palm readers to witches and healers (both Slavic and Romani traditions). I, myself, do clairvoyant readings and Tarot spreads on occasion. Anyways, my friend and I were looking for fun things to do in Austin. We thought it would be fun to go to one of those psychics or tarot card readers, just for the atmosphere and the so obviously fake readings. After doing a google search for psychics we come across these yelp reviews on sister temperance. We were both surprised that places like that actually get good reviews, so we decided to check it out. My friend set up an appointment a week ago for this weekend, a Saturday, to be exact. We looked through the website and didn't see any information about policies or anything, really, aside from "intro" and "schedule an appointment" tabs. This morning, right before leaving for Austin (we live approx 70-80 miles away) to do the tarot card thing and something fun afterwards, my friend gets an e-mail and a phone call from "Angeliska" with some instructions. Apparently, she let him know that she can't do a reading for two people, only one. Ok...? No problem, one of us, is just as good. We put the address into the GPS and head down her way. With the surprising road construction and weird GPS directions, however, we ended up getting to the place 18 minutes late. "Angeliska" exchanged a few texts beforehand with my friend, where he explained the situation and she asked if we needed directions. Never once did she mention that she has some type of policy regarding people showing up late and we soon found out why. As soon as we show up, this woman walks out and immediately tells us that because we showed up late, she can't see us. "The reading takes an hour, I can't rush these things". Now, as someone who is well familiar with Tarot I can tell you this woman is a bullpooper. A one hour reading would involve numerous readings, not one "in-depth" reading. No reading, regardless of complexity takes an hour; unless 1) your situation is really complex 2) it is done by a person who likes to do cold readings - try to get more information about you, get your psychological profile to try and build a bunch of nonsense around it. She even said she likes to "find out more about her clients beforehand". I am laughing as she does her fake " I am sorry, I know you drove two hours from out of town, but I can't do it in 40 minutes; Plus I don't allow anyone during my readings". Wait... Are you afraid you won't be able to bullshit two people at a time? Because unless you are performing an exorcism, there is absolutely no reason for "only one person in the room" rule. She is a fraud and she knows it, yet she tries to play it off as if she is serious about what she does, that is why she has these rules in place. It would've been hilarious, if that delirioso, pardone moi, did not demand we pay her $40 for the "missed appointment". We reserved an hour and still had 40 minutes. She claimed she couldn't do a reading in 40 minutes, but demanded we pay anyways. Isn't that awesome? Then she continues to blab with this smile in her face and occasional "I'm sorry, but it's my policy". Show me your policy! You sure didn't say anything when we were driving to your place. Oh...that's right, you wanted the $40. My friend went out of his way to be nice to her, thinking she would have the decency to go ahead and offer some type of solution; but nope. I am not as well mannered as he is, so I lost it when I heard her ridiculous excuses. For anyone considering this place - If you are looking for a theatrical kind of performance, go for it. This woman delivers. Ridiculous outfit, jewelry, weird looking house - she's got it all. She will shower you with fake niceness, as long as you pay her. Angeliska, there's a reason I stopped my friend from paying and handed you the money. I'd go donate it to a homeless person, before I got hit by the consequences of breaking one of the universal laws. read more

As a writer, I find it interesting, yet not surprising, that there are distinct moments in which I realize how limiting words can be. I was faced with this realization profoundly with thoughts about how to describe Angeliska and the beauty and healing I experienced when she recently read for me. I can tell you this, she is worth so much more than anything you will read here. Once my time with Angeliska had come to an end, my head and my chest, and anything else that was holding onto fear and worry, completely let go. That which was gripping me was released. I hope everyone gives this review more stock than the amount of stars I've decided to mark because I'm really torn how I want to rate this. At the very least, I hope my experiences help others make a decision. First, let me say that while I do believe in special abilities, I'm very cynical about the industry. This is my second experience and I normally think of it as 80% entertainment, 20% I'm going to try my best not to say a word and see how serious about your craft you is (the inappropriate use of the verb seems fitting). Ok, so I go there and park. Easy to find per her instructions. I park in front of her and find her trailer... and there she is. A late 20s, maybe early 30s at most (again, I suck at this so don't hate, hater), woman stands. What captivated me were her two huge eyes. They were very pretty in color but when she stared, it almost felt a little like she was pulling my soul out of my eyeballs. Her voice, very kind. The trailer was very aromic and mystical like. For the occasion, I was cool with what seemed 'natural.' If she was just a friend and I was coming to hang out, I'd think, "Man my friend is a hippie." Now let's get into the bi'ness (keeping up with my street slang, yo?). Do I believe she is a psychic medium? I don't know. From the POV of a cynic, I had no reason to doubt her. From the POV of a curious mind, she didn't really wow me either. To be fair, I do not think that's her goal. I have to say that her level of conviction is very much appreciated. Unlike a past experience, when I mentioned to her that I'm just here for the "entertainment," she quickly replied with a "Ok, but this is not entertainment. This is very much real." I smiled. Tell me more, dealer. We went through a full tarot card reading (about 70 minutes long) and she sets the foundation with me and my mom's relationship. Cool. Mama Jayphong N. is a badass ninja. As she talked about my career, extracurriculars, and expectations, I noticed that she was very well-versed and practiced. It felt natural. Nothing forced. Rather than asking me a question and building a story around my answers, she introduced an idea with some specifics and asked me if that resonated. I quietly agreed without saying much or moving my body. She does tell me a bit more than halfway through the reading, "For someone so lighthearted these are very powerful cards, Jay." She's referring to the "power cards" (or something like that, can someone add to this?). She spends a lot of time talking about my climb to success vs. my search for "spirituality." I have a good sense of self-awareness and do agree with this part. We briefly talk about other subjects like "which MBA program" and health, etc. Let's see if I go to UCLA or not =) Overall, I thought the $60 was worth it. I was hoping she would take a bold leap and make some predictions. No stars were taken off since this is just my imagination running wild vs. what readers truly do. Her ability to weave different stories together and explain how one area impacts another is very admiring. What did I get most out of this reading? I was blown away by my reading from Angeliska! so much different than the lady on lamar who told me within minutes I was cursed for 7 lifetimes and that she could remove it for 249.99.... i guess that is pretty cheap to clear 7 lifetimes, but it wasn't really what i was looking for. Not only is the space where the reading took place comfortable, but so is Angeliska herself. Nothing wierd going on...pure professionalism and such INSIGHT! I was really stunned what the cards revealed from my past and how Angeliska touched on those painful subjects with care, but did not avoid them because they were relevent to what is going on right now. Oy vey. I've done it! Yes, I have just found a guro goddess card reading being, one who is completely full of grace and a perfectly still space.
