It is not too far from Atlanta, being in Cumming, GA. There is parking there and I believe it was free but I am not 100% sure. I know we didn't pay very much to get the flowers. The parking was either free or maybe included with the price for the flowers. ***ATMOSPHERE*** There are plenty of rows. We came here for the photos and picked flowers as well. Also, I would advise on being prepared to come here. First, it's really hot/humid. To beat the crowd, come super early so that you're not having to deal with waiting in the heat to take pictures at the photo ops such as in front of the tractors and such. Being my first time, I forfeited when I saw the lines and felt drops of sweat dripping down my forehead. Second, be aware of bees. Sure, field full of sunflowers is enchanting, but to my surprise, humans are not the only ones that think this way. For every flower, there seemed to have been at least one bee, possibly honey bees, but who knows. So, if you're allergic to bees, I would take note of this. Third, I would highly advise on purchasing at max, half of dozen sunflowers. The nice staff, dumfounded at first, allowed me to get a refund on the other half dozen that I did not pick out. You can either go out and cut your own or grab from the buckets that they have already cut but even these have bees on them that I only managed to gather 6, out of fear. Once you pick them out, they'll wrap the stems with wet paper towel and bouquet bag, but it doesn't last too long in the heat. Definitely bring extra bags to store the sunflowers if you plan on taking it home as the pollens are crazy and will get all over your car that you would need a car wash. I went in thinking it would be a quick stop, but it turned into a full-on experience. After three hours, we still hadn't made it halfway through. My only real complaint is that I wish it stayed open longer into the day. Every vendor we met was friendly, engaging, and more than generous with samples. Prices were very reasonable, and everything--from the produce to the handmade goods--was beautifully presented. What stood out most was how clean the entire market was. Nearly every vendor went the extra mile to cover their food, protect it from insects, and wipe down surfaces as they went. It showed how much pride each of them takes in their craft. A few standout vendors deserve a special mention. 4 Sons Seafood offered incredibly fresh fish and shrimp, the kind of quality you'd expect to find near the coast. Pearson Farm had juicy Georgia peaches and crisp pecans that perfectly captured local flavor. Maple Milk Farm served up rich, creamy dairy products that tasted straight from the pasture. On the Rocks Gourmet Jams featured small-batch preserves in creative flavor combinations that were both sweet and savory. And Bobbie Ruth's Southern Style Bakery filled the air with the smell of fresh-baked bread, cookies, and pies that reminded me of a true Southern kitchen. Other vendors also added to the experience, including Pine Street Market, Cultured, Sprucewood Cashmere Farm, Diamond P Cattle Co., Taylor Made BBQ Sauce, Bee Wild Honey, Swayback Farms, Java Lords Coffee, Emily G's Jams, and The Cheese Shop at Main Street. Each one brought something special to the table--literally and figuratively. Another pleasant surprise was the number of local shops surrounding the market that were open during the event. We stopped in several and found unique gifts, clothing, and art pieces, which made the outing even more enjoyable. Between the market vendors and the local stores, the entire downtown felt alive and welcoming. We will absolutely be back again and are already looking forward to our next visit. The vendors include local people with meat, veggies, plants, some prepared foods, art vendors and my Favorite the nice lady that sells duck eggs! If you haven't had a duck egg, give them a try! It is hard to find anyone that sells the duck eggs and this vendor The Duckery of Ducktown has REAL free range eggs. The eggs are light and have a wonderful flavor! Unfortunately, you are not transparent in your dealings, and I did not nearly get what I paid for. I tried to work it out with you, but you refused. I have since found another supplier, and when I get my beef now it comes with a manifest of what cuts/pounds I received, which is standard practice to every other supplier out there. There are many others who have had the same experience with you, unfortunately.

There is a lot of prepared foods, face painting, a nearby doggie park and other social-type amenities, but there were only two stalls carrying fresh fruit or veg that I saw. I love farmers markets and was so disappointed I just looked at Philip and said, "forget this, let's go to the Alpharetta market" (well, I didn't say *exactly* that, but close) and left without purchasing anything at all. We travelled straight to the Alpharetta market and bought our usual fruits, veg, herbs and fresh breads. If you want to take the kiddies (or doggies) to the park, it's fine.
