I live out of state now but found myself buying Georgia Honey Farm honey online even with all the wonderful beekeeping up here in New England. Gallberry is still my absolute favorite, and it's a Southern thing. Guess you can take the girl out of GA, but you can't take GA out of the girl. I visited for the first time earlier this month, and I loved my experience here! The associate that helped me was super informative and helpful. She let me sample everything, answered all my questions, gave me a ton of free samples to take home with me. The orange blossom and tupelo honey was really good, but from FL and I wanted the local honey. From GA, my favorite was gallberry and sourwood. Sourwood would be my first choice (of course the most expensive one), but they didn't have a that in the large size, so I got one small wildflower for a friend and a large size gallberry. The small was $11 and large (about 3-4x more than the small size) was only like $16, what a freaking steal!!!!! I was very satisfied with my purchase and will definitely be back! read more

I informed them that I wanted to place the order again (which I intended to pay for) and come pick it up. Typically, I am only in the area after the store has closed. I'd seen the sign while going to the Kroger (located in same shopping center). Was in the area on a Saturday w/my daughter. Her play practice typically starts at 10 (same time they open). That day, practice didn't start until 11. I had a few extra minutes and decided to run into Kroger. My daughter was intrigued by their mannequin in a bee keepers uniform that they'd stuck out by the parking lot. She begged to go in. I had been wondering for months what the place was about, so I agreed. So glad I did. This place is fantastic. The first thing they did when we walked in was great us and offer us a quick honey tasting session. Very similar to a wine tasting. Even gave us bottled water to cleanse our palette. They also informed us of the different health benefits. I was already familiar w/some (such as consuming local honey can help w/allergies). We decided on which honey we wanted to start with (I knew we'd be back). Since allergy season was fast approaching, we chose the one that could potentially help with that. Plus, it tasted fantastic! My daughter got some honey sticks. We left in such a great mood. We'd hit the lotto of shopping experiences. When you get incredible service while purchasing a product of the highest quality. The owners are clearly passionate about what they do. They have a genuine calling to teach as many people as possible about the benefits of honey and the bees that make it. Just beware. Once you have had good honey, it is very hard to go back to the crappy stuff from the grocery store. It just tastes so....wrong! Also, may just be coincidence, but my allergies have been the best they've been in years. Despite pollen coming earlier then usual and in abundance. I will be back soon. I'm almost totally out of honey and I feel a mild panic. I typically hate the drive over to that area. I may make a special trip since they are closed today (Sunday) and my daughter's next play performance is not until Friday. They do have their honey in some local stores but I want to buy several varieties this next time. And, I want that experience! You can ride a ride at a carnival but it is better at Disney World. I happened across Georgia Honey Farm a little over a week ago. The couple who run the shop are incredible, health-conscious folks and their raw honey is, without a doubt, the best I've had! I bought a gallon jug of the wildflower honey for my smoothies and then went back this past weekend to pick up some sourwood honey. Their sourwood honey is the sweetest, smoothest, best-tasting honey and not like any other sourwood honey I've tasted. It's out of this world and I highly recommend you try it. You can sample the different honeys in their shop, as well as get educated on the process involved in producing it. All of their honey is stored in glass jars as well, which is a big plus if you're concerned with leaching from the use of plastic during long-term storage. I drove 48 minutes to get to this store and it was one of the best experiences I ever had shopping IN MY LIFE, like seriously. I was a retail store manager for almost 20 years and I would have gave a left kidney to have employees like them. I now own a child care (iPlanets Academy) and I took two of the child care children with me to "just pick up some real home grown honey". We got honey and SO MUCH MORE! We learned about the different varieties of honey (who knew?), all about the flowers that help to produce those varieties (They have their own farm with those flowers so they can control what output you get) along with the bees and even got to taste test some (DE-LI-CIOUS) samples (I could have seriously shamelessly licked out of the bottles all day it was that good). I was hooked on all 3 and so was the kiddos. So much so that we came straight home and made some Honey Popsicle's with fruit (A recipe we were given by them) and ate honey and peanut butter sandwiches for lunch. They had a Bee movie playing for the kiddies and had a book rack for them to read more on the subject. As an educator I am all about education. I had a slight cough and they whipped me up a honeylicious (made up word but it's the only way I can describe it) concoction that was not only TASTY but it worked and it only was a few ingredients with Georgia Honey Farm Honey included of course! I was given a Bee Pollen sample and was informed it gave you energy as well as other benefits. Who doesn't need more energy? I couldn't resist buying a bottle for my husband to try. Which by the way I asked him was it working and he said he felt great! No Crash and Burn the way he felt every single time after Monster energy drinks. I ordered honey online from here, over a year ago, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. I got a 16 oz bottle of their Wildflower Comb because I read it's great for allergies (and mine are terrible in the Spring time of year). What really topped things off and moved me to review this business was the fact that they mailed me a handwritten Christmas card in December. There aren't many (if any) businesses I know that do this. That's some dedicated customer service and customer retention. I truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture. Today I picked up bee pollen at Georgia Honey Farm and could not have been more impressed with their service and product. The woman wore a mask and delivered to my trunk curbside. And included with my single purchase of bee pollen were so many goodies including multiple generous samples of honey and honeycomb, educational materials and recipes, and a sweet note on the receipt! Awesome little honey store tucked away in the corner near the Kroger. I was looking for some honeycomb for our NYE party, and low and behold they had it. I had the pleasure of sampling some local Georgia honeys, as well as some Floridian honeys, and I even picked up some honey sticks for the kids. I really enjoyed my visit to this store! I went in and was greeted in a very warm and friendly way. The gal in the store began pouring me small samples of each of the types of honey that they have there. I was also given a small bottle of water for cleansing the palette between tastes. There were several kinds of honey but the one that was the best for me was the sour wood honey. They also sell honey along with the honey comb. The staff here really takes their time talking with the customers. If you happen through John's Creek and find yourself in the Kroger parking lot the honey store is in the far left hand side of the lot if you are facing the store fronts. It is not easy to spot. I only knew they were there because they put a display out front of a Bee keeper mannequin and bee hive. I saw that and it got me looking around and lo and behold there they are! The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is the store feels a little empty. All of the displays are along the walls and the entire center of the floor is wide open. It just feels a little awkward walking in to what feels like an empty store. I see a lot of potential for this little store though. I think they could expand just a little bit on what they offer as far as honey accessories. maybe honey sticks, recipe books, honey pots, honey spoons and the like. I think maybe little gift baskets of their tiniest jars in a variety pack would be nice to see. Any of these items would make a very nice center display (or two or three). It would do a lot for the feel of the place. Just ideas.Otherwise I am very happy to have this little honey store just up the street from me. read more

Highly highly recommend Georgia Honey Farm! It's the only place I go for honey now. They have three tasty varieties of local Georgia honey (they sell other varieties from slightly further afield, too). The Gallberry honey was recommended to me for sweetening coffee, and I was totally skeptical at first. Honey in tea is a no-brainer, but for coffee? But, I tried it, and I was instantly converted. I put Gallberry in my coffee every morning now, and I put the wildflower honey in my tea. Also, once we're all enjoying post-pandemic life again, I highly recommend going in store to have a honey tasting! You do not want to miss out on the sourwood honey--it is BUTTERY. So good! In the meantime, you can order from them online for delivery. PLUS, the honey comes in glass jars so you can cut down on plastic waste!! read more

This is a cute little shop for great honey. I tried the wildflower honey from costco, but wanted to buy a larger quantity. We went and the retail location at Alpharetta. The owner was very nice and had us try all the different types of honey. Ended up buying pollen, sour wood, and a gallon of gallberry honey. She also educated us about how the honey differs from each other, growing season for sour wood, and bee keeping supplies. Definitely recommend! read more

My boyfriend and I visited this store to find a little piece of Georgia to send home with our friend from Japan. The wife-and-husband duo were very friendly, informative, and helpful. We learned that she runs the store and he manages the bees, but he acted as her assistant today and took time to tell us where each of the honeys were produced. They gave us samples of each of the different types of honey, water for cleansing our palettes between samples, cups of honey cinnamon tea made in-store, and several wildflower honey sticks - all free of charge! All of the honey was delicious, and being able to compare their flavors while learning where they were made was a fun experience. I had no idea honey could have such distinct flavors. They also let us sample bee pollen with and without honey, and we decided to purchase a bottle of it. When we mentioned how we were going to give some honey to my parents as well, they gave us small sampler containers of bee pollen to share with my parents (also free of charge).
