Full disclosure we did order food to go, but I took that into account when for this review. When you go in, think dollar store Chipotle. We ordered two burritos, two tacos, and a bowl. The burritos were carne asada. Beans, rice, all that jazz. They were fine, but nothing to really make them stand out. Salsa was mid. Beans, mid. Rice, mid. Etc. Just now wow factor. Moving on to the tacos, the tortillas were good and fresh. Meat was plentiful and with enough lime and salsa, overall a good experience. Then we get to the bowl. I ordered birria bowl. Everything looked the part except I didn't see the sauce in the meat container when they were making the bowl. That should have been my first clue. When I got home to eat, the meat was dry and needed salt. When have you even had Mexican food that needed salt!?!?!! The meat had a lot of fatty pieces as well, which I didn't necessarily mind, but I know is a turn off for a lot of people. The bowl just didn't taste like much of anything. All told, the order was around $40. Just not worth it. There are too many other Mexican places within 10 minutes that have better food. Place was clean. We parked next door at the gas station and walked to the park. There was no parking fee or entrance fee. We made it there about 9 and there were about 5 vendors and many tables to sit and enjoy your food. There was also music playing. Slutty vegan seemed to be the only vendor with a line. When I'm talking line, I'm talking L-I-N-E!!!! As we were waiting, we ended up getting a spiked lemonade from one of the vendors and it wasn't spiked much. Atlanta is better off for having food trucks (and this park, specifically). Despite the cloudy, on-and-off drizzly weather, the park had a good turnout of patrons between 7-9pm on a Thursday night. The food truck/food stand lineup was pretty good: Sweet Auburn BBQ Corn-a-Cue One Love Jerk Grill Metro City Dogs Lemonade Stand WOW! Food Truck Ibiza Bites Chay J's New Orleans Candies Rouxd Food Truck King of Pops Yum Yum Cupcake Verizon also had a stand. I've been following the park's official calendar (http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/calendar/) over the past month and noticed Thursday nights are the ideal weeknight (excluding Fridays) to go for the most trucks and the best selection. I suspect there might have been more trucks last night if it wasn't for the weather. I ended up trying a little bit of everything: Arepas (Venezuelan sliders) from WOW! Food Truck Beef brisket with Asian pear slaw taco from Sweet Auburn BBQ Goat cheese-stuffed fried green tomatoes from Ibiza Bites Creole pretzels and Creole popcorn from Chay J's I'll be posting reviews for each of those trucks in the next few days. If you come for dinner, I recommend coming on the early side as the food trucks only have a limited supply of items and do sell out. This leads some trucks to close early. I saw many menus with marked off items that had sold out for the day. Yum Yum Cupcakes shut down early because they sold out of their cupcakes for the day. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much seating the park had. I counted 16 large picnic tables in the main "dining" area, most with umbrellas. Each picnic table can seat up to about 8 people each. The picnic tables are located on a flat, paved surface. The food trucks are located in a large gravel lot. This lot has 4 communal standing tables and 2 additional picnic tables. So overall, this spot has quite a bit of seating, which is convenient. Also, plenty of trash cans and recycling bins to keep the grounds looking relatively clean. The park is family and dog-friendly. It can be a little loud because you're around all these big trucks and next to busy Howell Mill Rd. You can BYOB, so save money by bringing your own drinks. If you want water, I saw some trucks selling it for $1 per bottle. There is one restroom and it's a "Johnny on the Spot" porta-potty in the parking lot with portable sink outside so you can wash your hands. There is ample free parking behind the park. Turn onto Emery St, next to the Shell Station on Howell Mill, to find it. If you need more detailed directions, check out the park's FAQ here: http://www.atlantafoodtruckpark.com/faqs/. The parking lot is old and filled with pot holes, so drive carefully. I saw someone puncture their car's tire by running over a broken-off metal sign post on the ground (she was trying to make too tight of a turn around the dining area). Note that every Wednesday and Friday night throughout the summer, the park will be playing movies for free. Also, from time to time, there is live music. On the weekends, there's a food market with rotating vendors and an artists market coming soon. Overall, I'm very happy with the Atlanta Food Truck Park and definitely plan on returning.

I ordered the veggie crepe and it came with bell peppers, swiss cheese, spinach, and mushrooms. The crepe was finished pretty quickly. And if you sign up on their email list serve, you get a coupon for a buy one, get one free crepe. The only con I'd have about the crepes was that it wasn't evenly spread out. I ate the breading for a good bit before I got to the good stuff.

About the parking: the food hall is located adjacent to the railroad tracks on the opposite side from Marietta. This is fine unless there is a train. Even then, it appeared they had a pedestrian walkway over the tracks, but we didn't use it. The lot itself is public and appears cobbled together from where they razed former buildings. There are more like 3 - 4 separate lots that are interlinked at odd places. I think 2 of them were not joined at all, so depending on how close you want to park, you should try the lot with an entrance in front of the food hall. Payment was via texting a number or an app. They talked about validation, and I made 2 attempts to do that. One involved letting them see my location (which purported to give me 2 hours for free) and the other involved scanning a QR code at various locations in the hall (which took me to a web page for auto parts...). You can park here for 2 - 3 hours for somewhere under $9 at worst. And so, we finally enter the actual food hall. It is sort of a maze of indoor 'alleys' where you find restaurant counters, plus a main indoor plaza area with seating and more restaurant counters. You can check the website for specific places, but they had burgers, pizza, sushi, gyros, Cuban sandwiches, Asian bao buns, a coffee place, Cajun food, some dessert-oriented outlets, etc. There is enough variety to please most any party. I was planning on getting a Philly, but the place I went had a special on a gyro-and-fries for $11, so I went with that. It was good. Others in our group got a selection of buns, gumbo, and sushi. Everyone seemed to like the food. As for seating, they have a large number of cafeteria-style long tables in the main plaza. It was crowded, but we were able to immediately find space for 4 people without feeling crowded by the next group down the table. Saturday around noon after youth sports events may be their peak time, but I don't know. While Marietta has plenty of restaurants, if you want a possibly quicker and cheaper option while visiting, this place may be worth checking out.
