Here dogs are free to play as well as engage with staff in choreographed song and play periods, and at break time stretch out on the cool floor or one of many beds for a much needed rest. Outside is a large fenced in play area where dogs can run and jump and chase one another in free play , as well as participate in the many scheduled activities, like water park days, arts and crafts, hula hoop days, and birthday parties to name a few. They also post photos and videos on Instagram where you can often catch a glimpse or two of your dog at play. You can even opt for special treats and snacks like pup cups, kong, and snappy snack homemade treats. My dog Maggie Mae loves it here, which is the best testament of all. Her tails always waggin', whether she's going in, or coming out. It's truly her home away from home. This was our first time ever leaving our 4 dogs so to say I was nervous was an understatement. The Pocono Pet Nanny's Bed and Biscuit is probably one of the nicest and cleanest places I have ever seen.There are several themed rooms along with beds, TVs and music playing. There is a fenced in area that the dogs can go out to run and do their "business" which worked out well for my dogs since they are used to a fenced backyard. The check in process was great. Jan is very organized and takes lots of notes on each dog. She allowed me to bring in our dogs' bedding, crates and bowls which was fantastic because our dogs were so used to their own things. I will admit I was crying when I left the dogs  but knew I made the BEST decision leaving them with her. Throughout my trip I received texts and pictures updating me on each of my dogs. Never once did I question if my dogs were okay: I knew they were in the best of hands!  Thanks to Jan and her staff, my family and I were able to enjoy our first trip ever. I had such peace of mind! Prior to booking our dogs' stay, Jan was great at communicating with us and never hesitated to answer my (many, many) questions. I was a bit nervous because our one dog is very food aggressive. Jan had no problem taking him in and even fed him in a separate area. She and her staff are "pet people" and truly have love and compassion for animals. Our family never traveled because we did not want to leave our dogs, but I have a feeling our visit with the Pocono Pet Nanny might change things for us. Sandy was responsive to my questions via email and a very helpful, friendly person overall. I learned so much about how to train a dog. We went from him pulling, barking, not listening at all to me to a SO much more polite puppy that actually started to look to me for cues and commands. Amazing difference in 6 weeks. This place is run completely by volunteers (thank you!) and the prices for the group trainings (meet once a week) are affordable. Yes, it is loud in there and yes, you won't get much one on one since it's group training. But we really benefitted from taking this class. The noise and distractions actually helped me in training redirection. The homework that was given each week was very easy to follow and it was easy to show my husband and son how to be involved in reinforcing the training at home. We look forward to taking more group trainings here. This has been an awesome outlet to burn some mental energy and bond with my dog.

I made sure he got to have time at their doggie water park and from what they told me when I picked him up, he was in heaven. They really are hands on and give your dog the love they need when they're away from their families. A bonus, I swear Bandit lost weight from playing with all the other dogs for a week!
