Got me a new puppy, 60 pound Pitt/Lab mix!!! He's...... a lot. My family suggested training and wow I happen to get a big check from selling my truck. Quick check of yelp and i found revolution. They had the most reviews out of the ones that popped up on yelp. i emailed them and got a response the next day. Got the paperwork over email and a week later Lune was ready to go. Went to the house in Wesley chapel and Manuel came out and grabbed Lune. He asked if i brought food, I had not. Manuel asked what he ate and said he would buy the food and I could pay him back when I came to get Lune. That was cool. The 7 day board and train is $1400 and the prices go up the longer they stay. Manuel sent me videos to my phone of Lune's progress every day. What an amazing transformation!! The only time Lune sits still is when he's asleep! After a week I scooped my boy and Manuel took me through all the commands and trained me on the training collar. I am so pleased with the training! It was just the jump start Lunatic needed. I got him home without having a training collar and it's like he's back to being an idiot. It's not a magic wand unless you do the full month. It's a lot of money. Why 5 stars? Because we learned so much more about our dog. --- --- --- We had our dog trained when he was a puppy, but to be honest, he was still quite capable of being a monster once that training was done. He learned how to do certain tricks, but like a young child, was often only behaved when motivated to be - i.e. when we were feeding him treats. He was very 'pay to play' like that. But Moose had some issues that we really wanted to put to rest. He's been aggressive with other dogs in more than a few instances. When we take him somewhere new, his anxiety tends to go through the roof. We knew we needed some more serious training, so we looked up trainers on Yelp and reached out to Revolution. We ended up doing four lessons with Erica - two without her dogs and two with her dogs. What we found out, is that Moose is not necessarily aggressive toward other dogs, but that his anxiety is the root of the issues. Everything that Erica taught us has been quite eye opening. She had so many tricks that seem so obvious once we tried them, but had never thought of before. At this point, it's really on us to continue doing the "homework" to work with our pup so that he gets used to this new normal of how to act in public. Erica is a great trainer! We did the 14 day board and train for our 3 month old pup when we were going out of town. She taught him all of the basic commands and "place" which is super helpful. She took great care of our pup and explained everything very well, and kept us updated with pictures. The most important thing, especially for puppies, is to keep practicing the command. At 4 months our pup was fully potty trained, and knew all of his basic commands, and know he is learning tricks. Our 80 lb dog started being leash reactive a few years ago. We dreaded walking him and taking him out in public because every encounter was him lunging and growling at everyone and everything that came near. It got the the point where we could only walk him before dawn or after dark when we wouldn't run into other people or animals. It was that bad. We decided to enroll him in a boot camp and after some research we decided to go with revolution because they had the best reviews and because they have a seven day program. It's a big decision and a big investment but it had gotten to the point where serious, professional help was our only option. Manuel was our trainer and he was absolutely amazing. We were skeptical that anyone could turn the tide with our dog's behavior but he delivered on all of it. We looked forward to the videos each day. All we had asked for was to make him "walkable" but by the end of seven days, our dog came back to us with perfect leash manners, sit/stay, place, door manners, and an attitude adjustment. On the first day back we were able to even host a child's birthday party in our house and our dog stayed perfectly in his place - no begging, jumping, barking at the door. They tell us the most important thing is to keep up the foundations laid, and Manuel made sure to go over all the commands and put Marshall and Me through the paces with me as the "leader." They also have follow-up Saturday classes so we will attend those too. Revolution was amazing and our family thanks Manuel from the bottom of our hearts! I was in over my head when we rescued a 1 year old deaf dogo argentino. After looking for a trainer, I was lucky enough to come across Erica and Revolution. Erica was out in days for a consult and I could tell from the beginning that she had a ton of knowledge and experience. Erica and AJ were amazing with my dog! I have a three year old mixed pup. He was very aggressive with strangers but AJ worked very hard during the board and train with him! Erica provided prelimnary lessons as well as post board and train lessons which were super helpful. I absolutely loved how interactive she is as well as hear me out on all of my concerns. She effectively communicated them with AJ when he came to pick up my dog. During the pick up, he did not rush whatsoever and heard all the behavior issues with lucky. He also tried to invoke the said behaviour so he could see exactly what causes it to determine the targeted approach during the board and train. During the course of the board and train, he sent consistent videos and pics of a luckys progress as well as weekly touch point calls on his progress. Another thing that really helped me pick Revolution was during the initial consult, Erica did not try to sign us up for the most expensive package! She gave her honest recommendations. We started small with the 10 day and on the 10th day during the Board and train AJ called me to explain exactly why he wanted to extend the training another 4 days. He gave me specific examples of luckys behavior which he wanted to work on getting corrected along with the game plan. I must say I was not expecting a fully well behaved dog post this as Lucky had his own mind prior to the board and train. However, since the training I have see tremendous improvement in lucky. With the exercises shown to us by AJ and Erica, we are able to take Lucky to markets, large social/ crowded areas like sparkman warf without worrying that lucky may randomly bark or bite someone. Also prior to this we couldn't have more than a select few friends over; however, we had a NYE get together and didn't have any issues with Lucky!! Erica's guidance and AJ's hard work shows in Lucky's progress with other dogs as well as strangers. P.S. Lucky is treated like a king in our household, and AJ and his family made sure he felt right at home while our pup was with them. Lucky definitely missed AJ and his family when he came back! Erica was fantastic!! She was knowledgeable, professional, and clearly loves dogs. I was so comfortable leaving my dogs with her for training. I wish people could have seen my dog Tank before.. He was impossible to take anywhere, banned from day care and all around a maniac around other dogs. I had to cross the street if a dog walked by us as he is a large dog. Within a week of our first lesson I was able to walk him around the neighborhood. Now 3 to 4 weeks after training I've taken him to dog parks, in public, around the neighborhood without a leash! The day I got him back a little yippy dog walked within 6 inches of him.. and he didn't even react. It was amazing! Erica also trained my deaf dog Tampa. I tried a group class with her and it just wasn't what we needed. Tampa now walks off leash, doesn't run out the door and I'm able to enjoy her off leash without worring she won't come back. Erica is amazing! I had totally lost hope that my dog could be trained, not because he doesn't understand, but because he DOES and chooses not to listen most of the time.
