After speaking with her briefly, it was evident that she was very knowledgeable based on the questions she asked about the behavior and temperament of our Dog. After discussing some of his behaviors, she offered many training suggestions for him that she would be able to provide during boarding for an additional fee. We never really considered the aspect of training our Dog professionally however, after hearing her explain as to how she could help, we agreed to board him for a few additional days to work on heel, stay and his overall anxiety. After his time spent with her, we immediately felt as if he was a different Dog. She met us on the last day of training and walked us through in detail, everything that she discussed so that we could continue his work at home. She even offered additional lessons at no charge for further maintenance! We would highly recommend Ariel at Midgard K9 Solutions to anyone looking for a boarding solution or any scale of training for their dog. Her prices were reasonable, and we felt as if the level of service received was nothing short of exemplary!

We had a reservation in October of '23 that I opted to cancel as my dog had a suspected case of bordatella and I wanted to be responsible and not get other dogs sick. At that point I was offered a refund for my deposit and I opted to keep it as a credit as I assumed we would use them again in the future. However, booking is a challenge as the lag time for response is far longer than the 'one business day' promised on their voice mail. Twice I have reached out and both times didn't receive a timely enough response (48+ hours). I needed boarding confirmation in order to book travel, so I went with a different facility. This week I asked for the deposit to be refunded as I don't foresee myself using this facility again and was told that since it was paid last year it would have to be kept on file as a credit. Nowhere in the contract does it state anything to that effect, nor was I made aware of that term in October. I've given 3 stars out of fairness as I think the concept is good and the facilities are nice. Lots of playtime and exercise. It's a shame about the lack of communication and shady financial dealings.

Our usual pet sitter couldn't take our Golden Retriever over the Memorial Day weekend, so he…read moresuggested that we take our dog to Wickersham's K-9 Ranch. The rates were reasonable and the website looked great, so we called to make an appointment for her drop off. My husband reported that they were very friendly when he called, and that we were welcome to drop her off and tour the facilities so we could get a sense of where she'd be spending the next week or so. We were excited to visit the ranch when we dropped off Ella. It was a good 70 minute drive out there, and when we arrived around 9:30, we received a very cool, aloof greeting from the fellow behind the desk. In fact, he didn't even speak to us or acknowledge us - another woman came out and helped us after a few minutes. She seemed surprised that we wanted to look around the facility, but obliged with a quick 2 minute tour. I wasn't terribly certain about the artificially dyed blue water in the lake, but the facilities are definitely clean, each dog gets a spacious space to sleep with an elevated bed and the dogs seemed very, very happy. Any misgivings I might have had when we visited were abated, however, when they dropped Ella off at our house after her stay. We decided to pay extra for drop-off (to save the 70 minute drive after our long trip) and we paid extra to have her bathed prior to drop-off, which isn't an option with some other places where we've boarded Ella. Ella showed up happy and exhausted, and smelling fantastic. In fact, a WEEK LATER she still smells good. I don't know what magic they worked in that bath, but it was a good one! And best of all, they dropped off some pictures of Ella's stay at what we are calling "camp". She loved swimming (usually an extra charge, but she got it for free as a trial since it was our first visit). Yesterday we received a fourth photo in the mail that they hadn't been able to include with the others, of Ella and a bunch of other dogs running. It was great to see photos of her having so much fun while we were away. I definitely recommend Wickersham's K-9 Ranch as a place to board your pet while out of town. It can be costly if you add in pickup/drop off charges and a bath, but your dog will have fun. It was a splurge for us, but one we'll likely indulge Ella in again on our next long trip!

After weeks of deliberation, we finally decided on a puppy and brought home a cockapoo. It's been five days so far and the experience has been great. He seems to match our personalities and fit into our family well. Our pet is in good health and her daughter couldn't be any happier.
