How ever I give 4 stars because the lady in the front desk is very rude. She has no manners or maybe she used to be a jail warden and still is in that mode. It's kind of funny to me that the clinic it's between a hair salon and a Chinese restaurant; very small, narrow clinic. They don't do any orthopedics but they do spay and neuter. Dr Davis is not pushy and won't strained you with a mount of procedures you "must" do for your pet. He will however give you a throughout advise and let you make your own decisions about your pet. My dog had an minor emergency so I called the vet, the lady at the front desk said no appointments until 2 weeks later, I went ahead and set it up asking to be called if anyone else canceled. Later I called again to cancel appointment because I found elsewhere to go, but Dr Davis answered I told him what was going on and darn it he said to come in that same day! He said I shouldn't have had to wait! In another incident last year, during the pandemic, my dog was due for her shots. I stayed behind the red tape that was on the floor, as indicated. But when my dog saw the vet she went towards him to greet him and stepped over the red tape. OMG! The front desk lady had a cow. She yelled at us to stay in the other side of the tape, she asked if we didn't read the sign. Dr Davis approached faster and said to her "it's ok Luna is just being nice, she can't tell the difference if there's a tape or not". Overall this is a good vet to take your pet for regular visits.

However his bark sounded so raspy, like he's been coughing for days. They were too rough, pulling him with a prong collar, while I was there. I didn't really like that. However, my biggest thing was before my pup came, he didn't mind other dogs, he was friendly when they would come close, but he didn't care about them when he would see them on walks, at dog parks, etc. Once I brought him back home from training, he was extremely reactive to other dogs, and he had never done that before. I cannot take him on walks or dog parks without him getting nervous and barking at other dogs. I'm not sure if it's an incident that happened while he stayed here but my dog has not been the same since the day I picked him up from here. Overall, I wouldn't recommend bringing your dog here, my pup has had a traumatic experience that to this day affects us.

They teach the basics, as well as pass on these steps to the owner for the life of your dog. Whats also included in a 2 week package is meeting with you at home or in a public setting to go over what your dog has been trained plus pick up on anything the dog displays in a different environment. If you plan on boarding your dog for a vacation, bring them there! They board and train your dog, for the same price you'd spend to bring them to a vet. We needed to get our pup in as soon as possible and though worked with us on getting her in sooner than originally scheduled, a huge help to us when dealing with a puppy! My favorite thing, they work with therapy training your dog! If you have a need to have a specially trained dog to work with you for a specialty or handicap, they can help you! Another plus, we needed affordable but we needed a trainer to teach our pup the best way possible. If our dog can pick up on what she was trained on, plus we can stack onto that training from learning how to train ourselves, then it makes sense to go somewhere that teaches us how to do it. As our pup grows and matures, I can see having her go back as I want her to progress onto more difficult things. KCTC has an understanding of how dogs think and act and they pass that knowledge onto you , the owner so you can work with your dog smarter and continue on with the training at home. Having the option to reach out for advice as needed or training on more advanced levels is great to have if we ever need it. Some places can take your pet for very long, extended periods of time which can be tough on family members who will miss them too much. Short spurts of training for us was perfect, they offer 3, 7 or 2 week training and with that, I am sure they are flexible if needed. Lastly, if you are military, they honor you for your service!

His anxiety, barking and jumping on people when they came over was making us miserable. Thanks to Abby's advice I was able to see what I was doing wrong and correct it. Her training tips were straightforward and based on praise and reward and not on shock and pain. My dogs are now walking loose lead with little correction and I feel certain with more practice that loose lead will be second nature. The more I work with my dogs using her advice, the more improvement I'll see. I look forward to working with Abby again soon to get my Boxer mix Sophie ready to be a Therapy Dog. Thanks again Abby! Michelle has been a huge help to us with training our Great Dane puppy. When we first got our…read morepuppy, we were having problems with housebreaking. Michelle does home visits so she came to our house and was able to walk us through housebreaking in our home and made sure the environment was set up appropriately for our puppy. She helped us start bell training with our puppy. She did a follow up Skype session to ensure the housebreaking was going well and to offer additional suggestions since our puppy decided she didn't want to use the bell after all the training. (Of note, our puppy now uses the bell so she was just being stubborn before!). Additionally, we took our puppy to Michelle's Puppy Kindergarten class which has been great for us. This is our first dog and we had no idea how to train her. Michelle demonstrates the training and then walks around the room and works with each of the owners and their puppies to ensure that everyone understands. She is always available by email if you have questions. I would definitely recommend Michelle if you need a trainer for your dog!

The staff at five points was wonderful with her and went the extra mile to ensuring that she was safe and stable throughout her stay. They made sure she was comfortable and keep a close eye on her at all times. Upon our return, Georgia was active, alert, and enthusiastic to see not only us but the staff members when we went in to get her. In order to assist her with her mobility issues, they tried various mat and rug configurations to make sure she was okay throughout the night. I have to admit I was concerned leaving her but whenever my husband checked the video feed she seemed content. It was a relief knowing she was so well taken care of and seeing her happy when we picked her up. They even had a detailed sign on the door of her suite outlining all of our concerns and her issues. It was reassuring to know that everyone who cared for her knew our concerns. We just hope that they enjoyed the time with Georgia as much she enjoyed spending with them. Five Points Pet Resort is more than two hours from our home and we have initially chose them because they had someone that checked on the babies in the evening. Little did we know how kind and caring everyone on staff would be. This was our second time staying at Five Points and the long drive is work every minute knowing our girl is being well cared for.
