After taking our 1 year old Berndoodle to them for the first time, we left feeling upset, disappointed and in overall shock. We asked to " not poodle our doodle" and for those who know about the breed, grooming this type of animal should not be done to mimic a poodle. We even had a follow up phone call before they did it to ensure that they understood what we wanted. We picked up our beautiful dog only to find he had been groomed, horribly. The WORST grooming place ever. I brought my dog in for a bath and a brush. My dog was given back to me with an awful grooming including a shaved face. When I asked what happened, the groomer was unapologetic. The manager did not call me back. I would not bring your pet for grooming services to Canine Country. read more

We have been going to Canine Country daycare for over a year until today. Overall, clean facility, convenient drop off/pick up times, and good price. Best of all our dog gets worn out while the wife and I work all day. Everything sounds great, so why am I ranking Canine Country 2 stars? It's because of the unprofessional, attacking conversation I had today with the owner, Lynda. My wife went to drop him off this morning and he was barking on his way in. Lynda, who was on the phone, snapped and confronted my wife. She proceeded to tell my wife that we need to get our dog under control and need to do a better job training him not to bark. After speaking with Lynda during the pickup, she told me that wife was being overly sensitive and would not acknowledge her inappropriate behavior. I told her that today is the last day she would ever hear my dog bark in her facility. read more

I have to board my dog and read the reviews below. Friends had recommended Canine Country so I decided to stop by and ask some questions. I spoke with David and Debbie, the NEW owners of Canine Country. They were amazing. Debbie was distraught about the review from Carla O. The incident described in that review did not take place at Canine Country. Canine Country has never had a dog die in their care. If there is any medical attention needed, there is a veterinary clinic in the same building as the kennel, which was very reassuring to me. All I can think is that Carla's review must have been for a different kennel. David gave me a tour of the kennel, which was very clean for a kennel. The doggie daycare area was busy and the dogs all looked like they were having a blast! I'll be boarding my sweet Cavalier here in September and will take that opportunity to have her groomed here, as well. I'm glad my friends recommended Canine Country and that I stopped by and checked it out for myself. I suggest you do the same. I'm glad I didn't let the 1-star review influence me. read more

Do not take your dog to this establishment. I took my Bernedoodle puppy for his first day of doggie daycare and expected him to have a pleasant experience. What he got was anything but that! There was only one worker supervising 22 dogs. All the dogs were in a small room that had a door open to an outside area. The worker, although physically present, was doing nothing more than taking up space. I did not see him interact with any of the dogs. I was a little uneasy about leaving but figured it would be ok since he would be monitored. After 3 hours of daycare I returned to pick my dog. A worker at the front desk went to find my dog since I did not see him. As I waited, I observed the same worker in the room, when I dropped my dog off, sitting on a chair, in the corner, on his phone, again paying no attention to the dogs around him. Two dogs were actually humping for about 3 minutes right in front of him. Seeing this I became even more uncomfortable and had to move away from the glass window. After waiting about 5 minutes I finally saw my dog being brought in from outside. To my surprise, my white and brown puppy, was covered with filth, and his coat was totally soaked. Mind you when I dropped my dog off he was fluffy and freshly groomed. As the handler approached the door, to where I was standing, I heard him say to the other worker, "this dog is a hot mess". To top it off my dog looked as if he had been repeatedly nipped at on his back hind legs and around his anus. His skin was very pink. What a great first impression! You would think extra attention would have been given to my dog, especially a younger dog, knowing that it was his first day. As a courtesy they offered to wash him. As I waited I became more and more annoyed at the situation so when my dog came out to me I started to question what happened to which the front desk worker had nothing to say other than he doesn't work in the daycare? But offered to give me a free day, or grooming, next time I came back. Come back? I will never go back to this place! And to the lady working in the adjacent grooming department, please keep your mouth shut. You should never be chiming in on a conversation you have nothing to do with. Were you in the daycare room? No! You should never question a paying customer, why they are concerned? If your dog looked like mine I am sure you would have been livid! read more

I got in contact with trainer Lucas via a Facebook group and he had me come out to Canine Country for a free consult with my dog. During that consult he worked with my dog to get a feel for her. She reacted great with him and I was very happy. He sent me home to speak with my significant other in order to make a decision on the suggested training plan. He told me I could reach back out to him via Facebook and said how he always replied back. I reached back out to him and told him I was just waiting on money to hit my bank account and that we would be in for training. When I reached back out to him to set up a date for my dog to start he never responded. It's been over 3 months and no word from this so called professional. I shouldnt have to track him down for a response. You wont be getting my money for training. read more

Walking in the front door I was almost always charged by the owner/trainer's huge dog. He barks and jumps up at the gate like he's going to attack us. Not a good way to feel secure, but there hadn't been an issue with it (other than being unpleasant) until my boyfriend's dog was bitten in doggie daycare by this same dog. Our dog has been in doggie daycares for years with no issues, he's always been happy and friendly both in this daycare and the last one we went to. The owner blamed our dog for the bite (which her dog inflicted on ours). Some dog trainer! We're not going back! read more

Canine Country as a grooming facility truly deserves 0 stars however 1 star is the lowest rating that can be given in order to write a review. Over the last six years I've taken my Newfoundland to Canine Country at first, for baths only- I clipped her myself. I'd had her for two years prior to moving to the area and previous groomers INSISTED on shaving her coat which should NEVER be done to a Newfoundland. As result, I had trouble trusting groomers to do anything except bathe my dog and clip her nails. I finally got tired of clipping such a large dog so I scheduled a full grooming appointment with Debbie with her SWORN promise to clip, not shave her coat. All seemed well (although I couldn't understand why an 8:30 A.M. appointment was finished at 3:30 P.M,) so I scheduled set appointments every six weeks. The next appointment was much the same, it took all day-except when I brought her home it was obvious that her head (LARGE Newfoundland head) had NOT been washed nor groomed. Her long ears were dirty and messy-the hair had not been nicely trimmed. Worse, the fur under her neck/chest (under where a collar would be) had not been touched nor had the hair between her pads been trimmed. Newfs are one breed in which the hair between their paw pads will constantly grow if not trimmed back-I've seen it so long that the dog is actually walking ON the hair. Her coat was overall shorter other than what I previously stated-except her greasy head and she just did not seem "clean". That night, she rolled over for a "belly rub" and I saw that her underside had not been touched! Her fur was long and scraggly and completely matted under her front "armpits". Her genital area was matted and dirty. I realized that she HAD NOT BEEN BATHED! I took out a grooming comb and started to comb her-behind her ears was completely MATTED! I realized that those areas had not been addressed at the last grooming six weeks prior. Once I pulled the matted areas apart, there was dead, nasty dry skin in the knotted areas. I realized that she definitely had not been bathed that day and most likely had not been bathed six weeks prior. When I called (outraged) to confront the owner-I had already emailed photos of everything I've listed as issues she really had nothing to say. She offered a "redo" appointment but I absolutely would NEVER trust them again-to go so far as to keep a dog for 7 hours "pretending" that the dog was bathed and then do a quick half-ass clip on the major visible area of the dog is SO unconscionable...what did they do with my dog for 7 HOURS??? DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR DOG TO CANINE COUNTRY!!! YOUR DOG IS NOT SAFE AT CANINE COUNTRY!!! CANINE COUNTRY =DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! read more

They do not even deserve one star. We went Doggie Day Care shopping and went to a few different in the area. This place, while it looks new, has a tiny area for Doggie Day Care and with stacked crates. We had to leave our pooch with a lady at the front while we toured the Boarding area. When we came back, we noticed our pooch munching on something. The woman had given him a part of her lunch! Why would you think it is ok to give another person's dog human food?! Took dog there today for first day of daycare my wife picked up dog which was very dirty and wet also looks like another dog was nipping at his back legs. One of the supervisors was to busy on his cell phone to watch dogs. Canine Country is the best kennel I have ever taken my dogs to. The place is always clean, never smells like urine or feces, as a lot of kennels do. The staff is considerate and kind and will treat your dog like he/she is their own! The trainer Lynda is a miracle worker! I brought my dog to her with aggression issues and he has been a dream ever since. I also take my other dog to the daycare they have there, he comes home super tired, so I know he's having a fun day full of play. I strongly recommend canine country for grooming, daycare, training and boarding! read more

Best kennel around! I don't mind boarding my dog here, the building is new and clean (I've never smelled any gross dog odors while there), the staff is always friendly, you can tell they love dogs! The dogs are put outside to go potty.... Not forced to relieve themselves indoors like at other kennels (big pet store chain up the street). I also brought my dog to day care when she was younger, she came home exhausted! I think the dog actually liked to go, she'd perk up when we walked in the place! I have been using Canine Country for the last couple of years. I waas informed that my dogs were out of date for the vacination so I used the vet next store Springhouse vetinarian hospital. I called my regular vet and they informed me that they were not due until 2015. Let alone that ist cost me $490.00 they were over vacinated. read more

I took my dog here for doggie daycare. Before I went here my dog loved other dogs and now he is aggressive towards other dogs even ones that he's played with before. Now I have to pay for private training to hopefully get him back to normal. Definitely don't bring your dog here! read more

If you need a dog trainer, this is NOT the place to go. The trainers contradict each other and they were verbally abusive to me, and physically abusive to my dog. My opinion, Lynda is not a very good trainer. There are so many other choices. Chose another. read more

Where do I start. Had been trying to find a doggy day care so my 15 week old bernedoodle could learn how to socialize properly and burn off some energy when I could not have him during the day. All seemed normal at drop off, but when I went back to get my pup that is where the horror began. He was completely covered head to toe in dirt (he is naturally an all white dog, freshly bathed before we dropped him off), COVERED IN SNOW (have seen him jump in snow before, the snow was stuck to him all over like he had been out there for a very long time.) The back of his legs were red in certain places, as if one of the bigger dogs had been nipping at him all day. But what really sent me over the edge with this place was that the staff was unaware of anything happening. The dog supervisor was a kid sitting in the corner on his phone when I arrived, there were two dogs just humping away in the window, other dogs running rampant making a mess, and my poor pup sitting outside by himself in the cold. ****DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE**** read more

Owner very rude, has a holier than thou attitude and verbally attacked me with questions when dropping off my dog. If I was not leaving on a trip that day, I would have had time to check out another kennel but she had me because if you cancel less than 48 hrs in advance, they have your CC on file and will charge you half of the stay. Their brochure price that I received in advance had a lower daily rate than what they state online. Also, they do not provide all the inclusive services they state on webstie. Since this happened, I have talked to other people who have had similar situations. Has her own dogs walking around kennel with shock collars. Other staff is great, facility is very clean but having her as an owner will make me never want to go back there and I am gladly letting anyone else I know this is not the place to take your dog (or cat). Also, at my next visit to the vet, I will ask them not to endorse this facility. read more
