Carol is heavens sent and answers all my questions thoroughly and gives me updates when I request. She makes time to send me pics & I love how they post pics on their social media. Right now I'm missing my baby and trying to enjoy vacation but I'm glad to know I left her with a great and loving place. She was there for the full day last week and cried in the parking lot when I picked her up. I can tell she missed it. She's a puppy and they matched her with a perfect match (another puppy) who she played with and also slept in the room with. I love that she is never alone and they have cameras and watch everything. They take into consideration that I get worried, even give advice and very patient. I appreciate this place & they are good prices .. specially for day care. I would recommend a full day & boarding all the way! Thank you to Carol, Cheryl & the team

I retained…read moresomeone who lived very close to me and had great reviews, but after a few sessions I realized our schedules were not compatible; I was not getting consistency and reliability from her. It's important for me to make progress with my dog, so I Googled alternate options and stumbled upon Alex's page. I called him on a Friday and he picked up the phone right away. We spoke for a while about my needs and he came out the following Tuesday for what was supposed to be a 2-hour visit. I fell in love with him immediately, he is not only so personable and likable on his own, but he really takes the time to LISTEN to what you need and work on those things right away. I had mentioned my priorities to my previous trainer, but I found that she was teaching my dog commands that didn't actually accomplish what I was after. In our first meeting, Alex worked on SO MANY of my priorities. He got my dog to go into her crate on command, taught her to "stay," showed me how to "walk with" my dog better on her leash, and (using a 30' leash outdoors) started working on recall with her. We were so immersed in what was going on that Alex started to go a little bit over our time, but he didn't want to stop because we were making such great progress. I told him if he wanted to give me a third hour right then and there that I was prepared to pay for it, and he did!! I learned a lot of things from Alex myself during our first meeting, like how to employ the use of "deltas" (which my old trainer never once mentioned) and how non-verbal cues are arguably more important than verbal ones. Again, my old trainer actually discouraged me from using hand motions, but once incorporating them into my routine I noticed that my dog was much more compliant than she had been. Another positive difference between my old trainer and Alex is he really takes the time to teach you why he's doing what he's doing, and encourages you to participate. My old trainer just taught my dog a command and had me replicate/practice when she left. Alex really makes you feel like you are a part of the teaching process. After our private session Alex recommended some "Small Group Therapy" for my pup. He came at noon on a Thursday to pick up my dog and she proceeded to go on a several-hour outing with his two chihuahuas and a dog he was fostering. The entire time he was out with her he was recording and sharing videos on an iCloud album. It was INCREDIBLE to not only see everything that was happening, but to hear him narrate why he was doing the things he was doing. I could not get enough of his videos and felt like I was there during the session. On top of Alex's excellent communication, punctuality, reliability, friendliness, competency, and effectiveness, his rates are OUTRAGEOUS in the BEST way! I truly believe he is under-charging for his services. I can get three hours with Alex for less than I paid for one hour with my prior trainer, and I feel much better about the work that is done during that timeframe. I adore Alex, and most importantly, what he is doing works. He really gets into the mind of your dog, and has such a wonderful way of connecting with them and their needs. I am elated to keep our work going - my pup has lots more Small Group Therapy outings in her future and it's wonderful that I have the option to use him one-on-one to teach her even more commands in the house. One day I hope to move on from essential commands to more fun ones, like "roll over" or "go get X toy."

When I picked up my 8 month old puppy she was so desperate to pee and poo, she went on the sidewalk in front of their building. She was so thirsty she was panting and needed water immediately. I sent food but she did not eat there. To compound the problem, Communication is awful. They don't let you into the space. You stand on the sidewalk - they crack open the door and pull her in or give you the leash to take her out. You get 1 email a week with some photos and videos. They don't appear to read the form you fill out and don't discuss goals. I told them that my puppy has had training since birth, but their first video was showing me how to hold a leash. The second video was of a different dog being trained - they said my dog was tethered watching. Throughout the entire video I could hear her crying. No one attempted to soothe her at all. I provided constructive input verbally and in writing by email. Despite my bad experience at the City School, I was still interested in the Farm School. I went to the open house and they were much more transparent about what a typical day looks like there. But before the evaluation day (which is separate from the City School evaluation), they called me to say that they were cancelling the evaluation because I am not a good fit for their program. They said it had nothing to do with my dog, who is a very sweet Labrador, it is because I am not "aligned" with them. They were not willing to even listen to why I thought the Farm School would be a better fit than the City School, saying that the decision had been made "by senior management" and it is not worth wasting time talking about it. Wow!

The first time I brought him in for 3 days one week in January dropping him off in the morning and picking him up in the evening each day. The following night he had uncontrollable diarrhea and vomiting. I took him to the vet and they confirmed he had Giardia and Cytosispora. He received antibiotics and then when he was eventually cleared I called to see if I can make a reservation to get him back in they told me that they required a letter from my vet clearing him that he could be in a day camp environment (most likely for liability purposes but I'll get to why that's important later). Almost a month later, I email them his lab results clearing him, but they still wanted a letter on letter head from my vet. Which I had to email over. I made new reservations and brought him in last Wednesday and Thursday. That Thursday when picking him up I hear another attendant tell another dog owner that his dog vomited in day camp that day and it likely wasn't a big deal. Friday night to Saturday morning my dog has a fever and stool starts getting soft again.. Saturday night to Sunday, my dog is vomiting and has uncontrollable mucusy diarrhea. He's now afraid to eat and drink anything. I called petsmart and told them about what's happening now for the second time and instead of addressing my concern the first thing that was mentioned to me was "Unfortunately we are not liable, when you signed the agreement...." (I know I signed a waiver, that's not why I'm calling). The lady on the phone was nice but instead of defending petsmart's liability, should have addressed why this is happening. She said she would talk to the others to see if they are cleaning properly but gave no resolution or plans to follow up on what I was reporting. She then went on to explain "this is just like daycare and sometimes we may not be a good fit for your dog" , and " sometimes dogs get stressed out and tend to vomit" (I am aware of this, he's been boarded overnight at another facility before and never had an issue). I then had to explain my dog has been boarded before at other facilities and this is NEVER been a problem.. I told her I usually use sitters and he gets plenty of time outside. But he's never repeatedly gotten sick from a day camp.. I told her he's been to other facilities but because this was local and the cost was good I wanted to bring here for the convenience. It's a shame because my dog actually really likes going to the petsmart day camp, he gets excited when he realizes we are driving there. But, if it's gonna have me taking him to vet every week and racking up unnecessary bills then I can't for his health.. Grooming services are fantastic though. I'll still go to petsmart to purchase things and to get him groomed but for his care while I'm at work I will have to make other arrangements.

He acts like he can be lazy and get smart with the customers when this is a business. I called just now to ask if they had the hard blue dog pool, he said they stock them in different colors that I can see which colors they had when I got there. Unfortunately I had to call back because I didn't want to drive there for the blue pool & they didn't have it. I called back got Rich again, asked if I can speak to someone who can tell me if something specific was in stock. He told me, that's not what we do here, you order online and we pick it and that's how you find out. I have an only store gift card so I told him I wanted to pick it up and needed to know if they had it. (What horrible customer service, he could have just checked the first time instead of making it so hard) so then he tells me, I have to walk all the way to the front, just to tell you if we have the blue pool in stock? I couldn't believe it, I can't believe that he's a manager or even has a job there. He eventually told me they had it and that he's the manager. Last time I placed an online order but had to pick it up a little earlier because I had to leave work and spoke to him, asking if I can get my order sooner that I'm on my way? He told me no, I had to wait for the email. When I picked up the order and he grabbed the frozen fog food, he looked down mad. I'm definitely making a complaint to corporate. Too many nice people deserve a job that he obviously hates.
