Great little grooming salon. I took my baby Leo here for the first time today and he looks and smells VERY handsome. Annette and Gary were extremely loving and caring toward him, plus she's from Brooklyn so she's automatically the best. Thank you for a great experience, we will be back!

This place is great upon arrival to picking up your pet. When I first came several years ago with my enormous cat, I was concerned on how my cat would react to Annette but they got along beautifully and the cat always looked so clean and perfectly groomed each and every time. Now I have a Pomeranian and Annette gives him as much care, love, and attention as she gave my cat. Annette definitely cares for the animals and the animal's owner.

First time here and I Couldn't be happier with her work! My baby boy came in after months of being in quarantine and even looked gray instead of white! She is truly amazing and my boy has never looked better!

We tried Canine Creations for our Pomeranian last week and I am so sorry we did. He is 3 years old and had a beautiful coat that had never been shaved. He had a couple of small mats that should have been clipped out. Instead, without calling us, they clipped his hair down to a teddy bear cut. If that wasn't bad enough, it is uneven and spikey, long hairs on his feet not trimmed, nails not trimmed and even cut off half of his flowing white tail. I have no idea if his coat will ever grow back like it was. After complaining they became defensive and returned our money. However, I can't imagine why they did not call to discuss before he was shaved. I have owned poms for 10 years and ALWAYS had a traditional cut. Not professional at all. I posted before and after pics. Hard to see but his coat is now uneven with long hairs and gouges. Looks like a five year old took scissors to him. Based on other reviews and the owners response - don't even bother to say he was matted because it was absolutely not true. and in no way would excuse such a horrible cut and not calling.

Took my cat there for a nail trim, had zero issues, and was completed within 10 minutes. My cat "loves" this place.

Bad grooming and even worse customer service. If you don't like your pets cut, you're SOL if you think you'll convince the owner.

Don't do a full body hair cut under any circumstances, just a sanitary trim around the paws, ears and eyes. When I picked up my dog, they had shaved her underside, given her a full body cut and chopped off all her whiskers. If that were the only issue then I would walk away from this knowing that the groomers simply just don't know how to listen to what pet owners want. That was the least of my concerns. My dog has gone to the groomer every 4-6 weeks since she was adopted (that's 2 years of regular grooming and vet visits) and has never had any issues. This was my first visit to this groomer and they ripped off her entire toe nail. I had to take my dog to the vet and spend hundred of dollars on antibiotics and treatment for her toe, and she's now in a cone. When this occurred, rather than calling me or informing me as soon as I arrived, they charged me and flipped the screen around for a tip and took 10 minutes to bring out my dog and then told me what happened. They accused my dog of having a loose toe nail to begin with. No apology, no offer for anything, not even any acknowledgment that it could have been a result of their grooming practices. I guess in some scenario that could be possible. However, my dogs entire toe was covered in blood and a weird substance they used to stop the bleeding (didn't tell me what it was or what was in it or ask before applying it), so I'm not buying the "your dogs toe nail just fell off story." It seems like your staff was trying to absolve responsibility from themselves. Unfortunately, this groomer doesn't even do the due diligence of having clients sign a form acknowledging the potential of accidents like any other establishment I have been to that's worth anything, so I do in fact hold you fully responsible. I also asked my vet to describe a scenario in which a dog's nail would come off in its absolute entirety during grooming because I have never heard of that happening and was horrified. My vet said he had never heard of a dog's nail "just being loose and falling off." My vet said this would only occur if a dog was moving around and the groomer tried to force the service rather than stopping. That checks out to me, as one of the first things I said about my dog when I dropped her off is that she can be wiggly with her feet at first if she isn't able to inspect the tools that groomer is using and to just do the best you could. If she was too wiggly to have her nails safely cut, they should not have been touched. In that scenario, it is the groomer's responsibility to say they cannot safely do something at the moment and stop. I would rather my dog have overgrown nails any day than an entire missing one that will take months and months to grow back and requires soaking in antiseptics and antibiotics to avoid infection. I can trim nails at home. I cannot manufacture a new toe nail from the air. However, the staff insisted at the front that they had nothing to do with the accident and it must have been an issue with her whole nail to begin with. Perhaps the negligent staff here thinks they know more than a veterinarian. Perhaps they're delusional and genuinely believe it wasn't their fault. Perhaps they're just cruel to animals for people's money and then move on with their day. That's their business, not mine. But to the dog owners thinking of taking your dog here: Do not. Under any circumstances. They are irresponsible and they will hurt your pet and they will not own up to it.

For my first appointment with my two dogs, I accidentally went to the wrong location. I called & the receptionist helped me get to the correct one. I arrived 20 minutes late, and they said they no longer had time for a full groom & could only do a mini groom. I wasn't happy, but completely understood. The night before my second appointment, they called asking me to change my appointment time to fill a gap in their schedule. I gladly rearranged my day to accommodate them. Today, 4 weeks later, I arrived for that appointment. I normally keep my dogs on a 4-week full-groom schedule & their coats short to prevent matting. When asked how I wanted them cut, I explained I wanted the same style they currently had, just shorter. The groomer cut me off, somewhat rudely, stating my dogs had never had a haircut there before. Obviously I know that. I clarified that I meant their CURRENT style/shape, taken down to half the length, and let the interaction go. After I got home, the receptionist called saying one dog was matted all over, needed to be shaved & I'd be charged a $20 matting fee. I explained that this was frustrating considering THEY chose not to cut them at the previous appointment. I understand their time constraint because I arrived 20 minutes late after going to the wrong location, but what did they expect when a doodle goes 8 weeks without a full haircut? They mat easily even with grooming every 4 weeks, which is why I keep them short. I wasn't upset that they couldn't fully groom them the first time. I wasn't even upset that she needed shaving. I was upset by how everything was handled. When they needed ME to rearrange my schedule, I accommodated them without hesitation. When they couldn't accommodate my full groom, I understood. A client/service-provider relationship goes both ways. When I picked them up, I said I wanted to see my dogs before tipping. Asking for a tip before I'd even seen the service was odd, and after the interactions that day I wanted to ensure they hadn't been accidentally nicked during the shave. I tried discussing my concerns with the groomers. Why not call me directly to discuss the situation/options? Why not attempt something like Cowboy Magic or coconut oil to demat before shaving? I was told her coat was "unsaveable," she was badly matted all over, and as the owner it was MY fault because I should brush her every day. I tried explaining I've only ever had one matting issue before & clearly know how to care for my dogs, but I was rudely interrupted every time I tried to speak and could hardly get a word in. Here's my point: If they noticed matting at the first appointment, why not say, "Hey, we noticed some matting starting. We didn't charge you because it wasn't excessive, but brushing more frequently will help prevent it & save you a matting fee next time." THAT is someone I would listen to because it feels like a partnership, rather than being treated like a neglectful owner. And today, imagine if the groomer had called and respectfully said, "Hey, I wanted to keep you informed. She's matted all over. I know your first visit was stressful after accidentally going to the wrong location, and now it's been 8 weeks since her last full haircut. We tried X/Y/Z to save the coat, but unfortunately we need to shave her. Can we make a plan together to prevent this in the future? It'll save you money & keep her comfortable." That would have been an ENTIRELY different situation. You cannot treat clients like a nuisance, tell them they don't properly care for their pets, refuse to let them speak, AND charge $110 for an 8-lb dog and $120 for a 65-lb dog. I highly suggest customer-service training for the groomers. I've never had an issue with a groomer. I normally tip 30% and even bring holiday/birthday goodies to my vet & groomers. Today, for the first time ever, I left $0--not because my dog was shaved, but because of how I was treated. A groomer-client relationship should be a partnership in caring for someone's pets. I'm not a veterinarian or groomer--that's WHY I partner with professionals to provide the best care for my babies. I drove 30 minutes out of my way and willingly paid more because I don't mind paying for better quality. You could have gained a lifelong client simply by handling this situation with communication, kindness & professionalism. DO NOT COME TO THIS GROOMER! You will be treated like you're just a number.
