Canine Excellence was the best thing to happen to us when we moved to Petaluma. Aly is clearly someone who knows and loves dogs. My dog, who has major difficulties trusting strangers near our house, warmed up to her and all her walkers so quickly. I cannot recommend Canine Excellence enough! My dog is terrible with strangers and usually not great with other dogs, but immediately took to the pack walks. Eventually she was able to do daycare and boarding no problem, which is huge for her. I love following along on Instagram and feel like the team at Canine Excellence was the best thing that could happen for my pup in terms of her social development. Seriously, it's well worth every cent to use them for pack walks, daycare, boarding, etc. It's hard to find true dog people and with other services you never know what you're going to get, but here you know your pup is in good hands and can even see for yourself on social media. I don't even know how to put into words how relieved I am since first meeting Aly + team. I have a high energy Boston Terrier that we rescued less than a year ago and he has pretty severe fear aggression (especially towards strangers) and lacks dog socialization which leads him to reacting if they get too close. We moved from San Francisco to Petaluma, and I had pretty low expectations that we would find someone to walk Miko, since we couldn't in SF. Aly actually responded to my email after I went on and on about the type of dog I have. Most people don't even write me back, because why take on a troubled dog when you don't have to? My dog had to be crated and muzzled to meet Aly (you can see videos on instagram) but after she showed him that she is the boss, he gave in and now LOVES her, doesn't need to be muzzled, and is extremely well behaved in her teams care. Her confidence in that first session BLEW MY MIND. It has only been a couple of weeks, but I am so appreciative that Aly took a chance on Miko and saw through his insecurities. I feel like a proud mom seeing him learning from the pack. I also love that Aly updates everyday, making you feel a part of all of it.. I don't know. I guess I am one of those crazy dog moms. LOL. We use Canine Excellence for pack walks and dog sitting. They are absolutely the best! When my dog comes back from her Walk, she is happy and well exercised. She knows the days her walker comes and anxiously waits at the window for her arrival. We all love the photos they take of all the dogs sitting and walking. No better business for your fur babies then here!! Super professional and Aly is literally the dog whisperer. My dogs did their doggy day care while we were on vacation. She picked up our dogs daily, and took them on two hour walks, and then they played with other dogs for the remainder of the day, and she dropped them off at night. We got daily pics of our dogs on their adventures, and what was amazing was the fact that she can tame dozens of dogs, and have them sit and pose for pictures!! We marveled at that feat! Our dogs were so cared for and looked after, which is a huge sigh of relief when on vacation. The pick up and drop off at no extra cost is a HUGE plus!! SO bummed to say anything but I'm super disappointed. I was excited to send my pup here after seeing pics and great reviews. Seems like the need more staff to do scheduling. I applied to send my dog here on 5/9. I finally got a reply a week later, when online it says replies will be sent within 48 hours. I'll let it slide, no big deal. We started corresponding about when to arrange the initial time for her to meet my dog, etc. we were messaging back and forth when she went silent after trying to confirm for Tuesday of that coming week. 5 MORE DAYS PASS and Tuesday comes and she finally replies saying that she wouldn't be able to make it. Fine. I wasn't going to be able to make it work anyway if she had confirmed at the very last minute. At this point I'm already kind of irritated. My husband and I both have crazy schedules in health care and don't have time for this kind of stuff, especially with businesses. During the email Tuesday, she said she would call me that afternoon. STILL NOTHING and it's Friday today. Seriously? If you have time for this level of correspondence, especially with your pet which is part of your family, then use them. If not, move on because communication is not heir strong suit! I know I won't be! read more

Aly, and her team are professional, kind, reliable and capable dog handlers. This isn't a side gig for them, this is a way of living and your dog becomes part of their family. Canine Excellence truly is our pups home away from home. Despite living 1.5 hours way from Canine Excellence, I will not leave our dog with anyone else; it is well worth the drive knowing our pup will be well taken care of in a cage free, interactive environment.
