We have been looking for years for a groomer to take care of our anxiety-ridden rescue pup to trim her nails. Our rescue was hit by a car as a really young dog in Mexico and had 2 rear broken legs which were treated by vets and foster people at DogWood. She is now 7 years old and hates having her paws handled. Stephanie and her partner did a great job with our Rosie. I was very impressed with their caring, their knowledge and gentleness, taking time for her needs. No sign of stress or fear or pain. Stephanie has groomed my 6 year old golden retrievers and my husky mix a couple of times already. She works very hard (took most of the day for two dogs) and pays such close attention to detail. She goes after every mat, clips like the pro she is, and most importantly, pays very close attention to the dog and their stress level. One of my goldens was hating the entire experience so Stephanie knew when it was time to take a break. My dogs are 80-100 lbs. Stephanie is nice and strong, which is important. May 11) and they called & txt when they were enroute even though they were right on time. Our appt. was for 1 dog groom & cut the other dog's nails! Sara was WONDERFUL! She did EXACTLY what my boyfriend asked of her (but he told her to keep the hair about 1" long) which HE knows now to go a bit shorter for next time. Not Sara's fault, she listened to his instructions & followed them perfectly. The price was more than reasonable! We didn't have to go anywhere! So convenient. It was far less stress on the dogs not having to be put in a kennel. Sara was super friendly and very professional. I highly recommend them. You would get Sara for any weekend appts.
