Customer Service Experience…read more I am writing this review as a heads-up about my experience with Happy Tails Pet Resort in South Burlington. I had hoped to enroll my two rescue dogs--a Jack Russell Terrier mix and a Toy Poodle--for socialization and potential boarding. After several reminders, I finally received the nine-page application, which I completed for both dogs. I understand that a pet care business needs detailed information, so I took the time to provide everything requested, including veterinary records and stool samples. The stool samples were an added expense for me, but I completed that step because it was part of the application process. All materials were emailed to the owners, July 7-2026. After about ten days with no response, a follow up email was sent letting them know all documents and vet records were completed and sent and that an acknowledgement of receipt would be appreciated. I waited another week or so and then called and left a message. I still have not received any acknowledgement. It has now been about a month. As a business owner myself, I understand how busy things can get. However, the lack of any acknowledgement after the time and money I put into the application process felt discourteous and unprofessional. Perhaps they have too many dogs, or perhaps my dogs were not a good fit for their program. Either way, a phone call or brief acknowledgement would have been appreciated. Sadly, I can only give a 1 star experience rating - because the customer service was truly unacceptable, especially after I followed the application process they required and invested both effort and money into completing it. Disappointed potential customer

The entire team was always patient, kind, and thorough--treating him not just as a patient, but as a beloved member of our family. They helped us navigate every stage of his care with compassion and honesty. Even during the hardest times, we knew he was in the very best hands. We're forever grateful for the dedication and love they showed to Montego and to us. If you're looking for a veterinary team that truly cares, this is the place.

Some vets treat FIV like a death sentence and won't give these cats the time of day, but everyone at AC treats our little ones like beloved royalty. They take their time and answer all of our questions, and did a TON of research to share with us the best diet, supplements, and lifestyle changes to keep our cats healthy. We are not rich! Not by a long shot. We have small income, live in a small apartment, do not have money to toss away on unnecessary expenses. We've never felt that the vets at AC order gratuitous labs or x-rays or anything, and they always bring up the matter or cost very non-judgmentally in a way that would make us feel comfortable declining if we decided to do so. I've never felt pressured to do something I couldn't afford. We have never been pressured in the slightest to buy food or supplements them, they've always been completely fine with us buying from amazon or wherever I can get the best deal. Our cats are our family, truly. They have had rough lives before we adopted them and it's our honor, duty, and absolute pleasure to make sure they are happy and healthy for the rest of their lives. I would NEVER bring them to a vet where I felt that the cats or we as owners were being disrespected or where I felt they were getting sub-optimal care. Affectionately Cats has not only met but exceeded my expectations for two decades and I can't imagine ever going anywhere else.
