She decided to have his hair dyed to stay with a California flair. He's known throughout our neighborhood when I take him for walks. My daughter always wanted a large portrait of her poodle to hang above her fireplace. I decided that she deserved a housewarming gift being that she is now a homeowner. I began the search for a professional pet photographer. As I reviewed the photographers in our area, I found the website for Carl Photography. Being a dog lover, I fell in love with all of the photographs of dogs. I was convinced that this photographer had a knack for catching the personalities of all of the photos that I had reviewed. I contacted the owner, Vicki, whom I found to be a very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable lady. I told my daughter what I had done and she followed up with the appointment. After Schatzi's photo shoot, she called me, and the excitement in her voice, "Oh Mom, where did you find this photographer? They are excellent and the way they handled Schatzi I couldn't be more happier!" I saw the proof and I had tears in my eyes because that was definitely the personality of Schatzi. The portrait is absolutely STUNNING to the point that we will be using this company in the future. I shared Schatzi's photograph and the website with friends from my organization who are so eager to have their pets photographed by this company, that they are willing to travel to make it happen. Thank you very much Carl Photography! You exemplify in quality service, professionalism and a talent that is unmeasurable. I can't wait to receive the book markers, the luggage tag and the mousepad, so Schatzi can travel alongside his Gammy when my organization places me in travel status!

Here is my very poor experience with From the Heart Photography. I hope others take our families…read moreexperience and make an informed decision. We booked our first family photo's after doing a search of the internet. These pictures were incredibly important to us, we put a lot of time, money and effort into setting up this photo session. We needed a photographer for a quick 15 minute holiday shoot for cards and family gifts. Everything went well. Photographer was on time and snapped pictures. At this time she clearly said, "I should have your pictures done by tonight or tomorrow." We waited, and waited. Pictures were Saturday and we waited until Monday to reach out. We got a response that she was editing them on Monday. Now it's Thursday (Thanksgiving day when we wanted to share our family photos) and things have really escalated. We inquired about our photos and it got bad from there. She has sent several messages accusing my wife of slander and ultimately refusing to give us the photos. She claims to be refunding our money. So here we are, upset and without our first family photos. Refusing to send us the photos is completely unprofessional and her conduct was also completely unprofessional. She has wasted our time, money and all of our efforts. So please don't trust your families memories with this company. You will end up heartbroken and picture-less like us.

If you are running an auction and are offered one of their sessions as a donation PLEASE do not accept. My parents in law bid on the family portrait session with the understanding that we would only receive one free desktop picture, however their prices for additional pictures are OUTRAGEOUS, and they have no digital option. In addition to what they donated to the auction, my parents in law ended up pay over a thousand dollars for ONE picture, which did not include framing or retouching. When we we doing the selection session the owner was dismissive and inattentive, and I watched as my mother-in-law almost came to tears. She was willing to pay for one extra family photo, as that's all that was in her budget, but there weren't many good photos of our whole family, mostly just of the individual children which they couldn't afford to purchase. The prices for their pictures are not transparent or available on the website, so we had no way of knowing what we were getting into when we bid on this ridiculous item. My parents in law gifted me the free desktop print, which we did not pay for additional retouching for, and it's awful quality. I got one of my sons and their cousins. The image is dull and blurry and the children's faces are poorly lit. My son's eyes aren't visible at all, and my other son's face is in shadow. It wasn't in my budget to pay HUNDREDS OF ADDITIONAL DOLLARS for retouching on a session that was meant to be a DONATION. I know Willow Street says they can't give out digitals because they make 'art,' but the quality of what I received was lower than the work I've seen by other local photographers who charge far less, and allow you to purchase digitals. I literally got pictures of my youngest taken at JC Penney recently that look better than what we've received from Willow Street. In my opinion, this donation was gifted to my son's school in bad faith, in order to get people through the door and extort money from them. If you're considering family pictures save your money and hire another local photographer, who will allow you access to all your images and who is upfront and transparent about pricing. The only bright side is the photographers who work for the owner were very nice. I hope they all get better jobs.

My black poodle had heart disease, and the vet didn't give him much time, and my sweet girl dragon was also on limited time. I enjoyed the photo shoot with my two dogs and two dragons, simply spending time with my family. My poodle passed away four months after the session, but now I have professional photos of him displayed all around my home with his little brother and reptile siblings.
