Wishing they would never had retired due to the fact that the overturn of this place really went downhill. This is my second time since the overturn. The first experience I had is that they tried to force all these other shots on me to give to the dog when I only give the rabies shot due to that dog, having megaesophagus went to check out and notice I didn't get my discount for having multi pets. I have 20 dogs and before this they gave me a discount. I noticed this that they didn't give me the discount prior to checking out. My husband went back in and stated that they will give a credit on our account. Today was the second time I went in due to getting an exemption note for my dog who had a reaction to his rabies shot to have due to using a kennel this year when we go away. It was directly written in his chart by Dr. Libby that this dog had seizures due to the rabies shot and cannot get any vaccines anymore in his life. So when the vet tech came in today, and since they did not see any other documentation of seizures they did not take the word of mouth nor the word of documentation from a licensed veterinarian who put it in my dog's chart. Recommend to continue giving vaccines and kennel this dog in a kennel which he does not like for a couple days to see if he has any more reactions plus now they charge $11 fee to clean the rooms on top of your $86 office visit and never give you your multi pet discount. This place has really gone downhill and I can't believe that in one vet wouldn't take the documentation of another vet that was highly requested to be seen by when he was there would not recommend this vet clinic to anybody anymore. My 10 point score prior to Dr. Libby retiring just went down to in the negative zones. Please do not take your dogs to this place, they are not friendly anymore and do not take the word-of-mouth by you nor the vet prior to being retired.

He has cared for my dacshund, Great Dane-Basset mix, and currently, my Smooth Collie and my American Bulldog mix. His services are excellent. He provides compasionate convenient on site veternary care. Dr. Blumbergs practice is a private family run business in which he is constantly mobile. Traveling from one home to the next one all around Lancaster Co. His wife fields his phone calls while juggling other duties. So for the most part, his answering machine takes all of his messages. However they DO get back to you as soon as possible. His services are well worth the wait. For pet emergencies there is the Pet Emergency Treatment Center of Lancaster which is recomended by the Dr.in his recorded message. For all other care, his services are top notch. The mere convenience of having exams, treatments, dental procedures and a variety of surgical procedures performed from inside the RV sized mobile clinic is priceless. His fees are very resonable as well. Less than the cost of the animal hospitals around the area. Dr. Blumbergs provides routine maintenance care on my dogs now. But has done dental surgery, spaying, surgical repairs for injuries to name a few. ALL with excellent results. Bear in mind that no veternarian is a magician. And the time will come when nothing more can be done for my dogs. I'm comforted in knowing that the good doctor will come in to my home to perform humane euthanasia for my pets. Others who have used this service have told me that it is done with compassion and respect. And that Dr. Jon spends time and personal attention to the grieving family while often breaking down himself. To the person who left the hasty previous review, your impatience with the call back procedure caused you to miss out on a great service! And a wonderful caring vet!

I was always treated with a great amount of respect there. My dog never had really super serious problems while I was his client, but he was always there for me with every case of worms- and with a hound, there were lots. Developing a relationship is important in Kevin's practice- vets tend to see a lot of pet owners that are unprepared at best. So, he tends to treat pretty aggressively, and order more diagnostics than other vets might to protect himself. If you disagree with him, stay calm, be reasonable and be assertive, and he will be as well. Time in the practice and not skipping out on regular visits helps this along. Plus, there are a few intangibles as a client of Kevin's. They have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs. They price match prescription medication. And if you're a client, you will find no better rates for boarding. Bottom line is that Kevin's practice deserves a better rating than it has. I can't give it a five star review because of the price, but he kept my business for five years- that's got to count for something.
