I was working for Walmart during the pandemic of 2020. Unfortunately, I contacted covid-19 while working and spent 2 months in the hospital being disabled for years after and couldn't work. I came to Canlas when I had no other place to turn and was not sure that I even had a case. I ended up working with Chris and got a judgement higher than I could hav even ever imagined. My case took a while due to its nature, but they were patient and helped me every step of the way. if your looking to get the representation you deserve move on, this office wasted about a month sometimes they don't even call back they say oh we have to scheduled an appt but no one can schedule an appt except for the person you CAN'T get ahold of I ignore the reviews on here thinking I give the office a chance they KNEW I hadn't been treated and was looking for a lawyer to get things going but just like anyone else I had a lot of questions before signing at First I called in June an let them know I didn't want to involved my new employer but once I decided that I really needed help and treatment I called them back in August and played phone tag NO one else in there office can help you scheduled anything there just there to answer phones and transfer you to a voice mail and hopefully someone calls you back but did I mention earlier you have to schedule an appt "WITH WHO" the voice mail box to someone desk then you call and let them know your available all day no one calls you back than you tell them you go to lunch at 1pm and said ok call back at 1pm she decides to go to lunch at 1pm but anyways they sent the retainer 2 days after they said they will send it that day ok so I have to call back to ask for it again voice mail retainer sent I have questions leaving phone messages and emails no response but its when I sent another email is when they can "FIND the TIMe to call back for help with my questions but to tell me they aren't taking the case when they knew I needed treatment strung me along for a month knowing this case needed attention sooner than later and could have been hiring someone else. Move forward there's lots of other workers comp lawyers out there I should have listen to the 2.9 stars before going through what I did and I don't write reviews but this wasn't right how they did but again I got to thinking if this is how the office is and I'm wasn't a client yet makes me now think they wouldn't be very good or have the time to give your case the attention and time it needs and the 2.9 stars does speak for itself. read more

They would act like you're bugging THEM when you call for updates or even trying to help with information regarding your own case. They won't inform you until you get a letter from them that your case was denied and they have the damn nerve to send a letter that they don't want to appeal your case with their stupid business cards. I was recommended to Canlas Law by a friend who had nothing but nice things to say about them. Then I checked the Yelp reviews and I started to get nervous with some of the comments. I ended up sticking with Canlas Law and I am completely glad I did...the negative reviews here seem completely bogus. Not only were they friendly and professional...once you meet them in person, you quickly get the sense of how competent and knowledgeable they are. They were very good about educating me about my options and my rights. I never had to go to court (which was fine with me), but Mr. Canlas seems like he'd be a bulldog in your corner...and that's exactly what I was hoping for. Terrible experience. Unprofessional, unprepared, and definitely felt like they never handled my case appropriately. I was completely left in the dark. At my deposition they sent an assistant and then told me to take the settlement because she didn't know much about the case. I pretty much didn't have any option. I agree they are unprofessional. No updates from any one at this office. When you try and call to ask questions you get there voice mail you leave a message and they never call you back. There is no customer service by any of the staff or Attorneys. They do not prepare you for your deposition. Monica the paralegal will talk down to you and over you she won't let you talk.
